I was a huge collector of Garbage Pail Kids, but sadly lost all of them many years ago. I hope to one day start building up a collection again, cause they are amazing. Mind you, I was YOUNG when I collected these and I can't believe my parents let me, given how graphic they actually are.
I never liked the gross stuff but for some reason I absolutely love these. Because they're so well done and the little details like writing gross in Japanese on the sushi, the painting The glow-in-the-dark stickers so little trash bag and they come in so cute but very very gross😂
i remember GPK and i remember my parents giving a "hell naw" when asked if they would buy me some. lol
I recently found 3 Topps garbage pail kids tin boxes of cards at the flea market for free

As someone who suffers severely with emetophobia I appreciate you covering the vomit! Though thankfully silly fake kinds like this doesn't bother me but I don't doubt there are people out there who it does bother! Just having awareness for us poor souls though really means a lot to me as it's truly a daily struggle
Do you mind explaining what emetophobia is? I know i could look it up but i'd rather hear it from someone that actually suffers from it and how it actually effects you.
I have emetophobia too. It is basically the severe phobia of vomit. Basically I can't stand having a stomach ache because I worry that I might throw up. Also its hard for me to listen to other people talk about being sick.

In the UK/Ireland, 'Axe' bodyspray is known as 'Lynx', which is probably why they went with that name for the 'Stynx' logo :)
Also called Lynx here in Australia I came to comment the same thing ☺️

I'm supposed to be a responsible adult, but I think these are the coolest minis you've unboxed ever! I have a pretty strange sense of humour, and I'd gladly own any of these. The skateboard brand they are parodying is Santa Cruz, and they've nailed their graphic style. I think the converse shoe was my favourite, with the squished roaches in the bottom of the shoe, or the footlong - but these are all awesome. I need to find out if they are sold here, I want one.

Oh, these are good. Not my cup of tea at all, but the quality is there: good molds, good shading, good designs, good and quirky attention to detail
Now, see, that's excellent criticism right there. Too many people review books like, "It was really exciting and well-written but I'm giving it 1 star because the ending was depressing"
While the Garbage Pail Kids were making fun of the Cabbage Patch Kids fad, there was an earlier set of stickers called Wacky Packages that went after popular food brands. Who could forget the Minute Lice or Band-Ache Strips. Just for a FYI, I noticed that a company (mini brands?) has released a set based on wacky packages. Would be interesting to see how these product minis compare to the sticker sets.

As a girl who grew up in Hillsboro Oregon (the town right next to Beaverton where the Nike headquarters are) it blows my mind when people don’t know how to pronounce Nike!! 🤣 Especially since it’s such a well known brand! It’s pronounced like Nikey. Nai•kee 💖 it’s named after the Greek goddess of victory.

There are lots of articles online about why people pronounce it differently in different countries. It’s actually really interesting. Even in Greece, where the word originates from, they pronounce it ‘naik’. ’m sure she’s aware that we pronounce it Nikey here in the US, just seems to be a regional thing.

I TOTALLY collected Garbage Pail Kids stickers back in elementary school when they first came out - everyone in my class traded them and when the teachers saw what the stickers actually were they ended up banning them because they were 'inappropriate' lol
Have you heard of the Mini Brands Series 5 balls? They have really cool products. Also, instead of American currency, they include currency from around the world, including Canadian Dollars. It also does not have the orange slices anymore, and is packed simular to the Foodie Mini Brands.

They were cards that had a sticker on the back and they were always made as twins within the entire collection. 2 of the same character but with 2 different but like names.

Oohhh Gross Brands! There was a bunch of hilarious stickers I collected as a kid from Wacky Packages, all starting with their Subway sticker called 'Slobway'. Absolutely gross-out humor, but still the funniest things I could get my little hands on at the time. These seem so similar, I may have to grab a pack!

Yes I remember those cards ❤ My family was really poor so my parents didn't buy them 2 me and I had 2 settle with looking at my friends cards. I always wanted them 😂. We had candy with gross names 2 like duck poop, rat barf n so on here in Sweden. Hahaha.

Yeah, I remember Garbage Pail Kids. They were trading cards and we definitely collected them. I remember one card had a guy on it who was ringing out another person like a towel and for the longest time this was the image I had in my head when I was really angry with someone. As for these gross things I think it's a great concept but as a vermiphobe there were way too many worms and I found myself having to look away a lot, lol.
These remind me of the ones that came out a few years ago called "Grossery Gang" (yes, it's spelled "grossery"). I had whole sets of those. Looks like I'm going to have to get these now. The skateboard was supposed to be "Santa Cruz". I have some of their clothes and fingerboards. They've been around for a very long time in skateboarding.
Edit: i forgot, you should just keep the slime in the bag and then keep it in the ball the figures came in. Idk if that might keep it fresher for longer?
Santa ooze is supposed to be a logo from a Santa Cruz shop. I have a bunch of their hoodies, etc so ive seen the logos a lot. The hand and santa ooze with a red circle designs are actually designs from the shop

The "Santa Ooze" is a parody of Santa Cruz which is a place here in California and a store filled with expensive clothing with the logo on it...I swear everyone here in Cali has merch with the Santa Cruz logo on it ❤
I just got done at a con that had several of the artists for garbagepail kids. They had their own alley called trash alley. It was fun to see.

Omg GPK were my childhood,Along with Cabbage patch kids. If u grew up in the 80's you can't forget them or the scratch &sniff stckers. I've never heard of these new zuru minis. I think they'll give wacky packages a run for their money. But love these type of minis

Yes! I’ve still got quite a few Garbage Pail Kids cards left. I finally found them in my garage about a month ago.
Sometimes you need to charge glow in the dark items with thicker parts with a UV light. I have seen this work much better for some of the glow in the dark items I have as they don't naturally glow.
I love this, especially the foods and with how much details they’ve put on them. If I ever saw them, I’m definitely going to get them! 😋✨
