Because he used normal point in that final. And darts that suited his style of throw… he now needs those agressieve point because with the darts he uses stand up way to steep in the board
He’s a top bloke, honest and I wish him all the best. Surely someone can design a dart he can use, big money sport now, look how formula 1 has evolved in equipment, okay bit of a stretch but you get my point. Cool hand Luke for me

Needs to go back to his original ones, before the scallops,I think they were 24g red Dragon,he knows the one's, try them Simon,if you still have them,if not ,someone will probably be able to find a set.
Surely his sponsors can design him a dart with a really short point, but a really narrow long tapered front section on the barrel so it almost acts like his old points??
It's mental how we are talking about 90 averages being poor. 90 average is an insane standard of darts, it just looks crap on TV but is far from crap at all.

Such a decent bloke. Probably one of the most humble Aussies you’ll ever meet.
Sad to hear him sound genuinely in trouble over this. Played 10 sets in a World Final without shredding the board, surely something can be done.

Longtime fan of the wizard, sadly I can see 2024 as the year he loses his tour card without a drastic change.
It would be AMAZING if he beat Anderson. The odds must be DRASTICALLY wide after last night’s performance and Gary’s current good form
I'm shocked at Simons performance last night, wasn't good at all. He needs to up his game massively against Anderson.
thats an understatement cause the way Anderson is playing again is way beyond his reach unfortunately .

Its his throw thats the problem
No it's the sharpness of the point, nothing to do with the throw
