Thank you for this video. But I wanted to add that not all soft close draw slides are made the same way. For example, I just discovered that mine has a red lever under each slide. I swing the lever and the drawer disengages. The main reason i brought this up is that if I would have pulled up to try to release, it wouldn't work. The way mine is I believe is a whole lot easier to work with.

My additional advice: first look carefully for any mechanisms or plastic covers behind the front that may hide release levers. There are countless designs for releasing the drawers 😛

Good video. My drawers are a little different. Mine are Diamond from Lowes. They have grey triggers on the bottom that you have to squeeze. That releases little tabs from holes on the inside of the tracks. To replace the drawer, you have to make sure the tabs go back into the holes.

Some drawer runners have little levers under the front of the runner which allows you easily remove them. So those types don't allow you to pull it up and out.
