I am too. I usually find it’s easier to use a sticky blank white plate I ordered online to place it above the plates as I work. Then take it off when done.

This was really straightforward and simple. I got confused once because I missed a step, went back to that part of the video, and said "ohhh right, I forgot to add keyframes!" That was the only hiccup the entire time and the answer was right there in the video. Very easy. TIME CONSUMING. But easy and works well. This does everything I want it to. Hooray! a sticker can also be used as a 'censor' - its usually more obtrusive than the blur method shown here but there are some 'smoke' ones that provide a darkening effect.. but may not be enough. would be good to have some new stickers made especially for this kinda thing.

You need to convert your 1st mask into a coumpound clip (right click with your mouse to find the option) and then you can add another mask and so on...

So after a day of messing around with the app….I figured it out.
- Highlight your overlay
- on your bottom section setting, tap “layers”
- it brings you to the “arrange layers” section
- highlight the overlay that you are trying to blur and do it this way
