    Yet another great interview, Mr .Rauta! It's great to have video interviews conducted by someone actually versed in real black metal and not some outsider scene tourist. These are gold - your effort is most appreciated.

    Thanks for this. Great interview. Ride for Revenge has been one of the most exciting Finnish bands of the last 10+ years for me and up there with Beherit and Barathrum in my personal favs.

    It was awesome finding out about his documentary from this, went and watched it and it was awesome, we need more documentaries of BM made by people actually involved, it was definitely one of the best BM documentaries I've seen.

    I'm only watching it now but extremely interesting and I thank you for all these quality interviews. Continue like this. The funny thing is Harald Mentor's size compared to Rauta, he looks like a Jötunn, an ice giant in Norse mythology :)

      Thanks Beata! Yeah more interviews will be coming, especially thanks now to Rauta's Patreon support. Harald is indeed a tall guy whereas I'm relatively short (1.74 m) so that's the contrast :)

      @@RautaMetal Yes indeed but don't worry i like you like that. Otherwise I knew Harald Mentor because under a compilation of the Polish group Capricornus, his name is mentioned because it was he who remastered the different tracks, I highly recommend the group, a sound quite unique in its genre, I warn , it is NSBM.

      Aye. I know the band. Harald is involved in a lot of things and bands since the 90's.

    Last few weeks I was watching Rauta interviews and I saved this for last..not least of course.
    My friend from Skopje, Macedonia released killer Ride For Revenge vinyls, t-shirts, longsleeves etc. He re-released King of Snakes on vinyl and will release double vinyl compilation this or next month.
    I became fan when he played to me a video from RFR live performace few years ago...I can't remember when exactly. Very unique band. I like their music very very much.
    Keep up with your channel. I doubt that someone else on youtube have epic interviews like you have.

      Thank you very much, Slobodan! Those are some very nice supporting & kind words. And yes, RFR is a unique band for sure. I don't think there's any other that can be compared to that in style.

    A cool interview, cheers! But I'm curious, how come it took this long to publish it?
    I have been following Harald's undertakings for a long time, he's such a genuine underground maniac with an ear for a wide variety of stuff from metal and punk to electronics and beyond. Respect! Also a jovial fellow, I've come to know. :)
    Ride for Revenge in particular is a band whose recordings and gigs I keep a close eye on. A unique primal force to be reckoned with for sure!
    And well, for those who have issues with his politically incorrect involvements, I think he already put it well in this song: ua-cam.com/video/3jIvrVGkzgM/v-deo.html Controversy surrounds me / You cannot figure me out / Warmonger among your people / I am one with the underground

    • @RautaMetal
      @RautaMetal  5 років тому +1

      Thank you. The thing is, this kinda got buried under more important work. Unfortunately so. Got forgotten and got into queue again. The downside of not having any budget for the camera crew or editor. So, I can't really push my editor since I really can't pay this person.
      And yeah, he's a great guy with interesting opinions and true ug maniac. Much like me he just doesn't fit into one single political box as much as some people try to do that. I think with these rather darkthronish lyrics he says it all.
