    Hi aaron I’ve this question to ask. Is your hot air station calibrated? My reason of my question is that I use the same temp with air almost max on my quick 2008d+ however the results are different from yours. I do remove cpu safely without damaging it but the solder balls are not properly melted like in this video. Also not to mention the direction of pointing nozzle is also kept in consideration so that board gets some amount of heat too rather than only directly pointed at cpu.

      Mine is not calibrated, no. It is all about feel and practice!

    Hi Aaron pls I need to help, of late Baseband swapping has been a huge issue for me. With over 80% failure rate can u pls give a step guide to baseband take out temp cuz it really annoying

    • @iBoardRepair
      @iBoardRepair  9 місяців тому +1

      I mainly focus on data recovery. You must identify what you are doing wrong and learn to fix the issue. I don't have set temps for nearly anything and adjust them as I feel it is needed.

      This is fairly common across most smartphones. Accidents happen regardless of what brand your device is and this operation (board swap or cpu swap for data) is not excluded to iPhones, but rather very much applied to most smartphones that are damaged beyond the pint of repair or deemed as non-viable for repair.

      Right. This was just for data recovery purposes so I didn't need the baseband circuits. I just need to pull the pics from it.

    Hi i think that the way you add past soldering can make a problem for you if a ball came between two resistance or something like that i think that if you want to use it you have to be careful of using it and not use hot air that is my opinion

    Is the use of low temperature solder paste on the processor due to the fact that you simply need to recover data?
    What paste to use for “correct” repairs. Is it correct 183c? for NAND and CPU.
    And one last thing. On Apple 13 Pro, the inter-board solder is also medium-temperature. = 183с. If you solder the halves, will the processor fall off? Or is it better to use 153c paste for halves? Thank you.

    • @iBoardRepair
      @iBoardRepair  7 місяців тому +1

      Low temp solder paste makes it easier to reball the cpu, probably easier to set as well. I wouldn't reball a cpu for repair, as I don't think It would be a lasting repair that I could warranty. Even if I used 183 and everything went well, I still will only do cpu swaps for data recovery, not repair.
      It is far too much work to try to warranty cpu issues.
