ok I will discuss it in detail in my next video. because it is a very long answer
simply we can say if we make a 12v regulated power supply using a simple transformer at 220v and get 15 volt and connect a 7812 ic. it will give 12 volt regulated
if input voltage drop to 110volt then transformer output will decrease around 7 volt so in this case the 12 volt regulated will fail.
I will explain it deeply in upcoming video
