Thank you so much for starting this challenge! I was able to grow my natural hair to BSL without keeping my hair in twists or braids for months at a time, so I’m excited to work on going over this plateau using protective styles consistently for months on end!
Hello sis, I'm glad I came across this. I'll be doing a one year mini braids challenge ( renewing braids every 8 weeks ) and I'll be starting on 1st January to 31st December. I can't wait to get started because mini braids is the truth! ❤
That’s great to hear about your one yr.challenge. So tell me, how often will you moisturize your hair within each month? And will you refresh the front or just leave everything alone until the end of December to take anything down! I’m with ya girl-Be blessed!
Just what i needed, had my mini braids installed on the 1st of February so I'll see you all in April 💃💃💃 i am excited for the new growth and healthy hair that is to come.
YOU'VE been MISSED Sis! I am in but i have my hair in 14 twists (rubber thread wrapped) and under a daily wig! I am working on increasing my density and ot is going well so far! I am still here to support!
Hey kimmyrine! I ended up falling down the rabbit hole of essential oils and discovered in the process that lavender oil is my best friend!! My extra thickness over the years is absolutely due to the lavender oil!
I am excited to join the challenge but I will be doing twists, not braids as twists are easier for me to unravel when it’s time to take down or retwist.
Okaaaaay, but your editing skills are growing !!! Keep it up you are doing a great job ☺️💗. I have a TWA so I am waiting a little bit longer then I will be right there with you all.
So are the mini braids kept in for 3 months straight or is there a schedule for re-braiding during the three month challenge? For example, do you install the mini braids during the first month of the challenge then take down and re-install during the second month of the challenge; rinse and repeat for the third month of the challenge? Please clarify. Thanks.
@@EtherielleHByou got like 3 times my length and I already was huffing and puffing with 82 braids , I remember when I asked about your amount of braids and it was over 200 and I literally screamed😂 they’re so pretty thoughhhh, I wanna try the 200+ braids when I have grown out my damaged tangly ends, for now 100 is gonna be my absolute max 🩷 I love your channel , I feel like you may blow up soon since there’s a shift in the natural hair community towards mini twists and team Mini Braids is growing steadily🥰
Ok nice. When you talk about braids is it added hair or challenge on your natural hair. My hair is fine to medium but thick meaning alot ( dense) so I will have to add hair for it to last longer.
About the braids maintenance routine, does it mean that we are going to be moisturizing our braids once a week? I ask because you said we should moisturize every 3 days and do a rinse once a week. That means that the moisturizing will only happen once ??🤔
Ehm, can I do "midi" braids instead of "mini" braids?😁 I actually don't like small sized plaits. I run out of paitence and motivated easily if they're smaller. So can I just make them a bit bigger?
Hey, if doing bigger braids will make it easier on you, then by all means do so. my mini braids now in fact are a little bigger than the ones I had before. :)
I have subried to your channel almost two years ago. I found you after your name change. II made the ShakaiKi Shampoo, then I lost you again. Is it too late for me to start? Please advise!
Hey Astra73708! No , it's never too late to start, there are multiple people who start this journey at different times. You can come back to this challenge anytime you like or whenever you're ready! :)
Definitely agree. Doing the same challenge . I hope to see those lengths

What are you doing to increase your hair density? I am trying to do the same

5 months in. I'll go another 3 with you guys and then a total of one year... maybe longer
That's awesome that you're 5 months in already!! In the next 3 months you'll have an extra inch and a half of new growth which is incredible!!
I can't braid,so I will be twisting my hair.
Sounds good !! ^^
I love you and your channel. I have had the same hair issues like yours at some times.

Yes, there is a schedule for re braiding the mini braids, which will be further explained in the next video!
@@EtherielleHB Thanks for replying. I’m looking forward to the video with the explanations 🤗
I'll be one month in ,in 2 days!!!
Did you make your braids bigger? I like this size so much
Yes girl, I had to loll!! After I hit waist length the re braiding was a NIGHTMARE!!

No added hair

Technically it'll be twice a week because the rinse and moisturizing is within the same week. I'll explain more thoroughly in the next video👍

@@EtherielleHB oh ok 😅 I'm glad to hear this. I just put in some bigger braids now😁
But please between mini braids and mini twist which one is the best?
Definitely mini braids!! I am a witness!!
I'm down. ☺
