- In this video we catch Scott Farms out picking a field of cotton is the South Georgia community of Faceville. They are using a brand new 2021 John Deere CP770 and a CP690 six row, round module, cotton pickers to pick this nice field of cotton. This is picker number 13 off the line for the CP770. I am hoping it is lucky number 13 for their sakes. I have many videos of these pickers picking this field as it is the only cotton harvest video I got to film in 2021.
My best wishes for your channel nice video on cotten picking thanks
I love your videos and more when it is of this type of content I grew up in a community that was what they harvested they bring me many memories of my childhood
John deere does make a cotton picker that is different from their regular cotton picker. It has a stripper head on it 8 or 12 row. It strips the whole cotton stalk. The use them mainly out in Texas.
Yes that's correct we make the CS690 and CS770 picker I work for john deere
Best cotton I ever seen, it's real thick on the plant
Nice vid
Our new pro-16HS heads are different from the Ole pro-16 row units
the sound in the end do we know what happened??? it doesn't sound good 😬😬😬
Clogged up a row unit
@@marcusjames3814 sounded like a chain saw 😬
Clogged up the picker head. That is the slip clutch you hear.
The amount of cotton not fully picked is unacceptable.
