In this video, I provide a top grade essay sample on 'Romeo and Juliet', marked against official GCSE assessment rubrics and objectives. The essay question asks how Shakespeare presents the conflict between the Capulet and Montague families, both in an extract taken from Act 1 Scene 1 (when Prince Escalus arrives to stop a fight that has broken out between the servants of the two families in the centre of Verona), and in the play as a whole.
