Great video ! Purchased this holster about 5 years ago very awesome design for my 22 cal M&P still breaking it in . Haven't used it maybe only twice . Thanks again.
Mine came today, and the holster fits great. I think I actually got the Roto version. To be clear, and I wish I could attach a picture of the label but it reads, "Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm, .40, .45cal SD 9&40 SWMPRP ROTO PADDLE with retention adjustment." The M&P .40 was high on my list of next guns to purchase, but knowing the compatibility of this FOBUS holster moves it to the top of the list easily. I used it at the range, and I really like it so far.
I bought this for my S&W SD9 VE for the range and I love it. Stays put once on your pants and the pistol retention was perfect right out of the bag! it is by no means a concealment holster (unless under a jacket ) just a t-shirt and you can make out what's their ! and for the $35 at Gander Mountain compared to the price of anything else they had...you cant beat it !
Excellent. I ordered the holster and the mag pouch this morning. Now I just need to find some additional factory mags. Great video, thanks for the quick response. I have a Fobus paddle double mag pouch for my Glock mags. I'm becoming a big fan of the company.
Very cool. I haven't tried the ROTO but it seems like a decent idea for versatility. I've never been a huge S&W fan but this is genius to me. It really makes the other M&P pistols much more appealing to me and I may go out and buy a 9mm at some point just because it makes sense. I can't believe nobody else is making full sized .22 LR pistols with the same controls as their full calibers.
The Amazon listing says it is a standard holster but it looks like an Evolution and I can't find a standard holster for the M&P on their website. So I think it's an Evo. I'll look at the packaging when I get a chance. I'm not sure what the differences are but they say the Evo is one piece construction and has an adjustment screw for retention. That seems consistent with what I have.
The only ones I've seen cheaper were the G-Code holsters at Natchez, but most of those are out of stock. I actually was waiting for one for this gun but they have been out for several months. I don't recall what the normal price is but Natchez has had a lot of their paddle holsters set at $9.99 for a while.
Actually, I was looking around the local gun store because my buddy loves my M&P 22 and wants one. Colt, imported through UMAREX and also made in Germany by Walther has a series of 1911 style 22's in the same fashion as the M&P. They have three versions, the Railgun, the Gold Cup, and the Government. I can't find anyone in the last few days of researching them that will say anything bad about any of them. I bet that major firearm manufacturers will follow all suit.
I've heard some bad things about them but so far I like it. The retention seems fine to me which is one of the complaints I've heard. I've also heard they start to crack which only time will tell about. If you find some more mags for the M&P 22 let me know where you found them (after you order yours of course). I've had a lot of trouble finding any for less than $80 a piece.
MADE MY SECOND PURCHASE OF THESE KIND OF HOLSTERS ! I'M VERY CONCERN WITH WEAR AND TEAR ON MY GUNS FINISH ! SHOULD I BE WORRIED ! I HATE SCRATCHES ON ALL MY OUTDOOR GEAR ! FISHING AND FIREARM SUPPLIES ! REALLY ....OCD....BAD....
I just got one to replace my Blackhawk Serpa since my IDPA club is moving to ban them. I shoot the match at the end of the month so we'll see how this Forbus holds up. Thanks for posting the video.

Is the retention for the holster adjustable? Im thinking of going with a paddle holster for my m&p 40c and I've been looking at Blackhawk and Fobus. Im kind of liking the Fobus because of the retention vs the button release, also the price difference too.
I don't think it is. I don't remember seeing any adjustments. I think they make it small with a flexible material so it will just expand and put pressure on it. But honestly I don't know for sure. Thanks.

Nice holster and yes , it is adjustable. The screw right under where the trigger guard goes into the holster in the front , is to adjust it.

I just ordered the Blackhawk serpa sportser for the s&w M&P 9/40 for my 22, apparently they fit perfectly fine too.

Yes by adjusting the screw by the trigger.
Is this the "Standard" or "Evolution Series" holster, and what are the differences between the two. Just picked up an M&P 22. Thanks!
good one
look likev a good holster....
can I put this on my duty belt need to know urgently anyone know ?
Is this the compact version?
It's not, although the compact may fit. If I remember right the compact is just shorter barrel/slide. I have a 9C that I'll try if I can find time.
Thanx man.
:)
@@ghillisniper300 did it fit the 9c ?
@@dustyirwin5594 It did.
Will this work with the compact??
It will work with the M&P 9C at least. I tried it with that one.
Did anyone else cringe both times he tossed the sidearm?
