- Why did Justin Trudeau step down? Why is Facebook giving up on “content moderation”? Why do people no longer trust “experts” who may not really be experts? Why did Biden give a Medal of Freedom to George Soros…and George Romney? Give a listen, watch, like, and please subscribe to our channel @commentarypodcast

42:32 Seth's jokes are probably the most slept on thing about this podcast. "Challenge accepted, John." "I grew up watching Home Improvement, so you know." 😂
It’s such a treat when I get to watch rather than listen.
I share the link with my parents each day. The last time I was visiting my mom said “I need to make a UA-cam account to subscribe since John asked so nicely”.
On intellectual humility…I love the quote from Hector in Shakespeare’s Troilus & Cressida: “Modest doubt is called the beacon of the wise.”
I really enjoy listening during my dinner hour. Guests around the table.
"W"s... they removed the W's from the keyboards...
🎉😂
American voters have an advantage over voters in a parliamentary system - we can vote a split ticket. It is possible for Americans to have a government with an executive of one party and the legislature composed of a different party. This can work to help prevent the government from going too far in either direction.
The dark shadow to Seth’s “‘The Economist’ Effect” is the “Gell-Mann Amnesia Effect” coined by Michael Crichton:
“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray's case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. […] In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.”
Imagine....if Canada becomes the 51st US state Trudeau can run as Kamala's running mate in '28.
I get your podcast early on Apple. Sometimes I like to watch on You Tube.
As always- great show. I was surprised no one had heard of ‘The Death of Expertise’ by Tom Nichols.
Why are these other 3 people here? Only for this guy to bounce his banter. We would like to hear everyones full thoughts with interruption and monologue
John, did you forget how John Adams left the White House ?? I think he and Trump are tied for the worst presidential exits!!
Podhoretz hogs the platform. Talks too much! Monologue or podcast?
