Hardest part about weight watchers for me was scanning the items and always wanting the lowest point items even though I could see the ingredients list was awful. I love the idea of clean eating!
I’ve done Weight Watchers for years with great success. After having my last baby, I have really struggled losing weight and feeling like myself. I turned 39 a few months ago and started having perimenopause symptoms. I will follow Weight Watchers to the t and gain 2 pounds in a week. I decided to try intermediate fasting with a 20 hour fasting window. It was difficult the first week but now I’m really in the swing of things. I don’t have to limit or cut out things that I want to eat. I am mindful of the things that I put in my body though. I don’t have to track points. I’m losing weight and not feeling bloated and tired. So far so good on the intermediate fasting.
Can you explain the 20 hour window? You only eat for 4 hours of the day? I’ve never tried intermittent fasting!
@@homewithhailey yes. I fast usually from 7pm to 3pm the next day. It definitely takes some getting used to. Probably one of the hardest things I had to do was give up my sugary and creamy coffees. When you’re fasting, you’re not supposed to have anything but water and black coffee. I would say the first week was pretty hard. But I’ve had some great results. Im feeling more like me. I’m not bloated or uncomfortable. I’m not worried about planning what I’m gonna eat or just constantly thinking about points or figuring out how to make it work for me and my family. I usually break my fast with a small snack, like a turkey stick and some nuts. Maybe a chocolate chip cookie lol. I eat dinner with my family. Usually followed by some sort of small dessert. There’s a lot of studies of how doing a 20 hour fast helps your body. I’m no expert or doctor. But from what I read, it allows your body the time it needs to use up what you’re putting in it properly.
@@homewithhailey Please look into intermittent fasting, It is an excellent way to keep insulin regulated, since insulin resistance causes so many metabolic issues like type 2 diabetes and PCOS etc I would recommend you research it, Gin Stephens, Fast, Feast Repeat is a wonderful book for you to read. Intermittent fasting is often referred to by "the health lifestyle with the side benefit of weightloss. You don't have to do a 20 hour fast. Many are successful with 16/8; that is what I do. Each body is different. Please check it out!
@@homewithhailey There's different eating 'windows' I eat typically 12p-8p fast for 16 (most while sleeping) (tweek to your schedule) you could start with 12 and work your way up. check out Dr Mindy Pelz videos here on yt 😊
I lost 30lbs in a year from fasting
This was a great video. Hailey, I love your tenacity and ability to work through things without giving up! You're constantly finding ways to switch things up to use what works for you and your family. Thank you for the good example you are to us. Looking forward to the new things you're trying! The egg roll in a bowl is calling my name!
Have a great week, Hailey!😊❤
Thank you so much. Have a great week ❤️
I did WW for 2yrs and lost 50lbs in 5 months. Kept the weight off till we moved and my weight started creeping back up last year. I went from a size 8-10 to 14. Now I’m back in a size 10 a little tighter than before, but that’s okay. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m glad I can fit into my jeans again. I’m going through perimenopause and I know that’s a lot of the problem. About 1 1/2 months ago I cut out dairy and meat and have noticed a huge difference in my body and how I feel. I’m no longer bloated and I don’t want to overeat. I recently just started drinking kombucha and it’s been really good for my gut. Before making this switch I thought about joining WW again, but I don’t think it’s for me anymore. I did it and learned alot from the program. Only thing I didn’t like seeing was people being hard on themselves or the constant obsession with the number on the scale. I tried to always let other’s know what works for someone else may not work for you. I think it was a great tool at that time in my life for sure. We had recently just lost my husband’s son and I was struggling. Whatever you do I hope it works for you! 💖 Don’t be too hard on yourself friend you’re beautiful! 🫶
I grew up in SC and my mom bought Hellman’s. Now I’ve discovered Aldi’s mayonnaise which is great. I also have some Dukes on hand too. I like all 3😋❤️
That was such an inspiring video! Can’t wait to make egg roll 26:10 in a bowl!
I love ground turkey a lot. It's so yummy. Hailey I am amazed at your self control being around all those Little Debbie snacks and other treats for your family. It would be so hard and tempting for me. I wish it wasn't. But it's great your eating clean to help with your women health issues. I really look up to you. Good luck.
Thank you so much! I also loved the ground turkey. I’m going to start using it a lot more!
Have not been on your page in a while and just wanted to say I LOVE YOUR HAIR! You look stunning!!❤️❤️
We grew up eating Duke’s, but when we finally got a Jimmy John’s and found they used Hellmans we made the switch over. Their light is actually my favorite. It’s a Southern Thing did a blind taste test and Hellmans won. Even people who were diehard Duke and Blue Plate people picked Hellmans.
Hi sweet girl! you look great, wonderful video praying for you . i did miss the Kinders seasoning…… what kind is it with the turkey bowl? thanks, Sandi ❣️😊
My husband and I love egg roll in a bowl; we also enjoy cauliflower fried rice. Lasagna but instead of noodles use egglife wraps. My 3 kids and husband love it. Replace rice in soups with cauliflower (can't even tell in stuffed bell pepper soup).
I eat the egg roll in a bowl with a medium fried egg on it. So good! I usually add some bell pepper to the mix, also.
😋😋
love your videos so much and so excited to see the new changes content! been watching since 2020
Thanks for being here!
I have found south beach and walking 30 mins a day is VEEY. Beneficial. Thank you for sharing and being so honest. ❤
Recipe Idea 💡
3 ingredient pancakes!
1 mashed banana
2 T ground up oats
1 Egg
Top with peanut butter and fresh fruit 👌🏼
😋😋
I need to try the egg roll bowl. I love egg rolls
I have PCOS too and struggled. I've switched to pretty much same food and started working out . I also go to our local nutrition tea place and the owners have really helped me with what I need.
Hope the changes have helped you ❤️
I like to use Primal Kitchen mayo...it's dairy free and made with avocado oil. My son has a dairy allergy so we do a lot of dairy free stuff. The one thing I have not found a good version of for dairy free option is cheese. None of them melt. One brand did, but I didn't like the taste. The taste is not the same. Otherwise I've found great dairy free options for everything (even sour cream and yogurt). 👐
You do you ❤
God Bless you lady!!
Definitely check your blood sugar too when you are decreasing away from sugar. You don't have to be a diabetic to check it. I remember your whole round 30 journey. Been here from the BEGINNING!! Avoid stress too can help with the aunt flow to visit. Maybe switch to decaf too cause I read caffeine can mess us up too
I just started Wegovy! My eating habits have gotten so much better! ❤
I just made egg roll in a bowl with ground chicken last night…..so yummy 😋. We don’t have Dukes mayo here in Canada but I like Hellmans with olive oil mayo…..the rest of my family only likes miracle whip 😂
I'm definitely a Miracle Whip girl too! 🙂
I did whole 30 a few years back.. it was rough but so worth it! Would love to see recipes if you decide to do it!
I’m still interested in doing it if I feel like I need to in the coming weeks!
Hi, Hailey! I used to use Hellman’s but they are now producing GMO mayonnaise so I switched to Dukes and I really like it! It has a little more flavor, I think.
Diet has sooo much to do with our health. I strongly support your change in diet, and think you will definitely feel better! Let us know how you do.😊
I definitely will❤️
I love avocado 🥑 mayo, also we like to buy raw pecans at Costco and we roast them in the oven, they great for snaking and no added oils or sugars 😊
I always look forward to your videos. They are a ray of sunshine in this world.
You’re so kind Alma❤️
@homewithhailey thank you. That's just who I am and I'm the same way outside of UA-cam.
I remember last time you did this you switched back to WW because you just didn’t feel like you were losing much in it. Hoping and praying for better results ❤
You’re right, I did! I of course want to lose weight but more than anything, want to get these hormones in order. ❤️
I’ve given up on WW again. It is just too restrictive. I work at crumbl cookie and I can easily fit 1/4 of a cookie into my calories every day (and share the other 3 pieces with my kids) but WW charges almost a full day of points for that. It’s just not reasonable or sustainable. I am so thankful for WW because it did give me my first initial loss. But that only lasted 3 months. All I’ve done is struggle for the past 3 years, up a few pounds, down a few pounds.
Try the eggroll in a bowl with italian sausage....soooo good.
I’ve been feeling the same as you, just down & unhappy with my body & my mind. I also have been dealing with PCOS for 7 years. My cycles are pretty close to regular now but I have other PCOS symptoms I deal with too that I would love to get in check. Thank you so much for sharing your mindset shift-it’s just what I needed too. I’ve been in such a slump for awhile. I would love to here what other knowledge you have about PCOS & what foods are not good with PCOS.
Also have pcos and from my research they say the best “diet” is low GI . I’m about to try it.
@@juststeph6940 Thank you for sharing! I will have to look into this.
With the Egg Roll in a bowl, do you just reheat in the microwave? Silly question, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I do and it reheats great!
We are a dukes family as well!
We make our mayo homemade. I cant eat factory made anymore.
There are some great instagram accounts that have helped me balance my hornones and insulin resistance.
A few of the habits that have helped me are
- eating within 30-60 min of waking
- no coffee before food
- only eating sprouted/fermented grains
- 30g protein at every meal
- always include protein with a snack
- increasing my mineral intake
- getting as much quality sleep as possible
- early morning sunlight on my face when possible
- walking barefoot outside multiple times a day
- get moving after meals, even a simple 10 minute walk helps
- reduce plastics and hormone disruptive products (cleaning, laundry, body care, hair care, etc.)
You could look into a continuous glucose monitor that you use for a few weeks. The information it gives is so helpful in understanding how your body responds to different foods/meals at different times.
I'm personally finding that I miss the blue plan of WW. For me, it worked so much better.
Do you struggle with swelling inflammation with your PCOS? I have been struggling with that alot and I am all ears for any advice!
I am happy for you doing what is best for your body.i am doing something else to tried of counting points also.
Dukes is our favorite mayo.
Hi Hailey. I am a Miracle Whip girl. That's what I grew up eating. I wasn't even aware that there were other kinds of mayo until I was much older 😂 I buy both Miracle Whip & real mayo now. 🙂 What is PCOS?
Dukes only in my households!!!
Hellmans light mayo or regular Hellman’s nothing else ever lol. The light tastes the same and a little better for you!
Would love to see how you make the steak fajitas!!
Hey Friend, Happy Saturday. I always enjoying your grocery hauls and seeing everything that you got for you and your family. ❤ Thank you for sharing with us the changes that you made in your life throughout the years. I had no idea about all of the changes that you made in your life. 😮 I was thinking you should take a step back from weight watchers for a while as well. I just didn’t want to say anything because it’s your life. 😮
Interesting vlog Hailey, I’m trying to eat better too at the moment! Xx
When I grew up the only mayonnaise my mom bought was Dukes. When I got married, my husband hates Dukes so we buy Kraft.
l love Aldi keto bread, but I found Nature's Own keto bread and had to break up with Aldi's, lol. Nature's Own is hands down the best I've ever had.
Have you tried the yasso coffee popables! 35 cal for 1. I’m obsessed!
I have been struggling for years with awful pain on my ovaries it feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife best way to describe it . most times its just on one side some times on one side its so painful that i cant walk when it gets bad and it comes on randomly but most times its not bad but its still painful effects my day to day . i finally found that putting caster oil straight on it and its been a game changer been a month of doing that every day and i dont have the pain and if i do i put it on and takes it away . i couldnt get answer on why i have this pain .
I used to get that pain too. Turns out that I had cysts on my ovaries.
Your hair has been looking great and grown a lot! Is this from ag1??
Great grocery haul amazing meal prep have a by🙏
I prefer the ground turkey for myself over ground beef. I also love the butterball turkey burgers for myself. I’m not real fond of ground beef
What are you eating for breakfast with the bacon? I need to make the egg roll bowls again I haven’t in forever!
Bacon, eggs and the keto bread with a little butter!
Thanks!
