Rent is out of control here and please stop telling people to move here. Housing shortages mean more homeless people. My rent went up $200 this year and probably will every year until this stops
@@michelleturner6865 Do not count on it stopping. It is out of control and you just can't blame the ones coming that are willing to pay more. Problem with NB is that there is hardly any right to security of tenure and landlords can easily violate tenure through loop holes not to mention worst tenants' rights in the county. The things NB landlords get away with, I could never get away with as a landlord in BC. I know folk in Frederiction that have seen their rents double within 2 years. Landlords in NB want to charge what the market will bear in a so called “free market” yet want NB to maintain a rigged system and tax regimes that have little resemblance of competition and capitalism that favours them over the tenant. This is one of the many reasons we decided to leave NB and go back to BC. As bad as BC can be for renters, at least there is still tens of thousands of people in BC that pay rents that are anywhere from 700 a month to 1500 a month that have been in the same unit for years. I have a friend in Vancouver Kitslano that lives in an apt that looks like those apts that go for over 2000 a month in Moncton, but he only pays 1200 a month because he had been in his unit for over 8 years.

I wouldn't suggest coming to NB just for PR. I'd do research into Fredericton and Moncton directly and make sure that that's actually where you want to live. There are lots of people that come to the Atlantic provinces and complain that its' not like Ontario/BC, etc

Fredericton is quaint, but a pathetic excuse for a capital city and had the worst access to primary healthcare, Moncton would better.
