Wonderful little frog painting, wonderful video! I often say that "when I grow up, I want to paint just like Louise De Masi"; however, I'm already 65! I better get a move on! At the end of the video when you put the indigo in the shadows I couldn't help but suck in a bit of air. Putting that much dark paint on, even in the shadows, would have scared the be-Jesus out of me! I can do it, but it takes me 2 to 3 times to get it that dark. You are my heroine! And love the out-takes, too. They make you human!
I only just found your videos and they are the best! Aside from the clear and informative content, they are interesting and entertaining. Thank you for sharing the out takes too. It’s good to see that others stumble over their words occasionally also. 😍
Ever so cute! Love the way that you keep a straight face while showing the bloopers 😘. You look far too sweet & kind to produce bloopers & still keep a sweet look on your face…………. I can’t keep from smiling when I see them 🤣. Gorgeous channel, love it, cheers 😊❤️🥰😍😘💕
How dlelighful for us that you did another frog painting. The colors are so satisfying! Thank you for the time you put into sharing your lovely wonderful talents.
So glad I stumbled upon these videos from Louise. The careful explanations of certain techniques being demonstrated are wonderful - including the close-up camera work. Also - the outtakes at the end are fun, and a reminder that some real work goes in to producing the videos.
I really love the way you teach us, easy to learn.... I am a principiant in water color 🎨 tecnic, I painted a similar frog on a bromelia 🌿 plant 🐸 in water color 🎨 last year... Not like you 😉 of course... You are👌 amazing 👌Louise. I love your videos. I am Maria from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 in Central América 🌎 God bless you all the time. 😘
I always look for videos with clear instructions and commentating and you achieve all that. I have subscribed. I look forward to watching more. Thank you!
Louise,I am hooked on your tutorials! You are truly inspiring, making me feel that I can one day be a good watercolour painter! Love your outtakes too, your hilarious 🤣😘
I love this ❤ fantastically well painted and your teaching method is just perfect... by the way you are far from a bit of a drip Louise! 😉😂... love your bloopers! 😂😂
I am one of your many fans. Absolutely love your style, at the same time frustrates me to the point of not touching any thing related to watercolors . Of course my love for WC draws me back !
love that you include the blooper reals at the end. not having them in the main video keeps them from being distracting but having them at the end is nice becuse it shows that you are human like the rest of us. also, love the frog, red eyed tree frogs have always been a personal favorite.
You are wonderful louise, such an inspiration to us all, your watercolors are just beautiful, when I paint along with you my pictures are just beautiful, it’s your voice and how your so meticulous, I especially like your bloopers, it just brightens up my mood ❤️❤️❤️❤️
After watching your birds paintings I felt a sudden shift to my mind n I started loving them like anything. Now I can feel their beauty n Love for them. Thanks a lot for this peaceful change 🙏
I loved seeing this frog tutorial.... I enjoyed painting the other frog and am excited to paint this one. Thank you for sharing your talent on You tube and as a Patreon member! I am learning more each time with your detailed step by step instruction. Your Patreon membership provides me with the painting outlines, supply list, reference photo, positive energy, and more. In addition to the excitement you show, your talent and love of painting has been a wonderful stimulus to me wanting to paint. Thank you Louise. I am so happy I saw your tutorials on you tube.
What a great demo painting this beautiful little frog. I painted one years ago and I want to paint one again using your tips. I like the drippy background and want to give that a try as well.
I like this composition. This frog is so beautiful. I am very familiar with frogs and love their colors. You painted them beautifully. Thank you for sharing! 👍!
this was such a great way to learn. You are so relaxing and inspiring to listen to at the same time. I was working away on my own artwork but watching this on the tv in my room, .. great video and so happy to subscribe and see more x
I discovered you today and, as a beginner, watching your video just made me improve of a lot in a a blink of an eye. Your way of explaining simple but really useful techniques is simply amazing! I tried to recreate the frog and, even if it is far from being amazing like your, i create the first watercolor that i'm really proud of! You have a new fan! Hugs from Italy!
Your videos are a great way to start the weekend. I've used the buff titanium on a painting of our cat who has cream and ginger long fur. I watched your tiger and shaggy dog and negative painting video for ideas. Thank you so much for all your tutorials. Although I'd love you to do a painting of a long haired cat.
Very enjoyable watercolour painting. It amazing how you can use watercolour to make your from look wet or glossy. You said you used landscape technique but I think you used portrait. That may b
Love it. Your videos are the highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing. I am having trouble removing my masking fluid. Which fluid would you recommend?
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I recently started watching you and subscribed because your work is so beautiful. Thank you again for your videos ❤️😊
Hi Louise, I love, love, love your tutorials (and bloopers at the end). I'm a Patreon subscriber and I know you have the other tree frog outline drawing out there....are you by chance going to put the outline for this tree frog out there too? I really like this little guy's pose. Thank you for all you teach us! Heidi
I adore this little frog, your work is so beautiful. I now realize why I have not been quite satisfied with other water colorists I follow on UA-cam. Their work is beautiful but they don't let the medium "do its thing". I don't have the right words to describe the difference. I think it is the looser style, the charging and blending you use. I tried to find the original pix you used on the Wildlife website. The red-eyed cutie was posed differently. QUESTION: In general, are students that follow your posts able to sell what we paint and if so, how would I give you credit? I understand the reference painting for your current post, I would need to follow the Wildlife website regulations, additionally.
Thank you Louise! I absolutely love watching your videos and you are such a wonderful teacher! I have joined Skillshare and can’t wait to see more. ☺️ Do you still post to Skillshare or mostly to Patreon now? And thanks again!
Fabulous as always! I was just starting my own red eyed tree frog and love the colour mixing choices you made to get that lovely green, so I will follow your ideas. Can’t go wrong it’s Louise de Masi!!! Love how you teach and how delicate yet detailed your work turns out. I am loving the Patreon and skillshare tutorials too. I am considering adding the da Vinci maestro brushes to my crZy collection of too many brushes, but want to know how long that glorious tip lasts. I have trouble with sables going blunt on me over time, so it is getting painfully expensive. Perhaps I paint too dry on cold press and wear them out? Do you have trouble with the points disappearing with these brushes? Thanks for another lovely UA-cam...
Lol after all the trouble to get the words out, it wasn't even in 'landscape formation' . It amazes me how it looks so simple when you're painting it, but it looks so good and takes so much skill
bonjour louise ,vos aquarelle sont éblouissante lumineuse ,quelle maitrise ,je suis fane ,ca vous arrive de venir en Europe faire des festivals (France).
You are *so* not a drip. 💧 I've met a few in my lifetime... You don't qualify. 😊 And I love your frog!! 🐸 💜 (I would like to point out that the paper is in portrait orientation. 🤫)
Thank you Linden. I know ....I'm nuts..... I checked it three times and I still didn't pick it up. I've had a difficult two weeks with health issues so that's what I'm putting the landscape/portrait orientation debacle down to. 😝
I'm sorry! Maybe I shouldn't have said it... But I think you received it in good humor which is how it was intended! 😊 I'm sorry to hear that you have been having health issues, but impressed that you have continued to paint, film, edit and upload!! I do hope you're feeling better! 🥰 You're a Rockstar and I just love your work!! 💜
You are fabulous!! Please put this on Patreon !!!

I enjoy your wonderful lessons, but I have a question. If your painting had dried. Are you removing the pencil stripes?
Love it. Your videos are the highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing. I am having trouble removing my masking fluid. Which fluid would you recommend?
Thanks Patricia. I don't use it much so I'm no expert on it. I currently have Schmincke masking fluid and it's been really good.
