- Pickup trucks in India don't necessary hold the same value in India. Stereotyped as commercial and non-family-like, pickup trucks have a very specific rural image in India. However, thanks to Isuzu with their D-Max VCross and the recently launched Toyota Hilux, the future looks good for pick-up trucks in India?!?

Pickup trucks in india is more of a lifestyle vehicle and has no practical use so it will never be popular. It is common in USA and Australia because in those country lot of people live in vast countryside and they need this to purchase all the items of daily needs in a while. Stores are located in substantial distance in countryside. In india all the daily needs items are available closeby so you don't need to buy items in bulk and bigger items can easily be transported by hiring smaller commercial vehicles. So you don't need to have truck for yourself. Other reason they are big and costly

@@Rohit24Kumar people will buy a cheap, unsafe car over a sturdy but slightly costlier car. There is a reason why Indian car accidents have such a high fatality rate. Tis not about pickup trucks, but not buying a car is far better than buying an INR 4-8L car. Atleast you won't die from car accidents as long as you walk cautiously on road

One of the big differences between US and India is the moving labor of logistics.
in America logistic labor is so much expensive that people like to move their own goods themselves versus in India, logistics or delivery expenses are not so high.
I was proud owner of Tata Xenon 4x4 last year only I sold it and bought Toyota Hilux 4x4 . Very much happy with the both SUV trucks but my Hilux is AT so love more and more capable of everything. 🤩
in india Pickup trucks are used to carry heavy goods. these are used as commercial vehicles
Truck culture belongs to US for two main reasons:
1. Manual labor is expensive so most people perform all the manual labor themselves and they need pickups to carry.
2. They can put stuff without any worry that it will get stolen.
In India, you can use pickup truck if you want your stuff to be stolen

Once you have pickup truck, there is no turn back. I am living in the USA , only I have driven pickup ( 36 years ). Once I survive head on collision on my 1420cc bike. ( medically dead and returned ). Pick up trucks becomes your second home. So luxurious, quiet and comfortable. Of course ground clearance 4x4 and huge tires are plus points for smooth ride. You make lots of friend because of loading and camping use. Sleeping back in the cargo area at night in forest and park is priceless. Toyota Tundra I drive.
