Nine percent had so much potential to be such a popular group. Too bad iqiyi threw that all away and didn't promote them at all. They had a great relationship together and sounded beautifully together. I'm still sad about disbandment..
They were very popular, despite of bad promotion. They still have the best selling album of the year, and Xukun stayed at top 3 spots for artist popularity in multiple platform. I would say their popularity is well established, but iqiyi wasn't ready to take care of a very popular group as they (iqiyi) weren't as big as they are now...
Hopefully, they do better with the "The Nine" (I don't think UNINE is as popular as Nine Percent could have been but they were better promoted), iQiyi seems to have more planned for this group than either of the previous ones
Kar Yung Tom I would say that Rocket Girls (R1SE's senior) were also promoted well, but they did have a scandal in the first few months (regarding their contract). Chinese official produce series (produce 101 china and produce camp) generally are managed by better management since they're the official branch from mnet, but still WJJW (their company) is shit lmao
I came for Lin Yanjun! I am so glad he pursued his solo career despite the group's disbandment. He has so much potential in him and I'm glad it didn't come into ways. wherever you are in this industry we will support you Lin Yanjun!

Cai Xukun (Kun) won 1st place and he's also the center on their theme song 'Ei Ei'. Good old days T.T so proud to see Kun being the PD though. On previous seasons, Lay Zhang (exo) was the representative PD. Watch it! There are many talented trainees in Idol Producer!!!

Because the rest of the record companies will not want to release their artists after contract ended. It's afterall a money making biz. Otherwise, this group is one of the best Chinese boy bands. All of them has their own unique attractiveness and quality.
