Brother Dave, you're really a great blessing to many. We pray for your ministry and other fellow saints who labor for God's glory, preaching the word of God rightly divided. Greetings from Germany!
Good point on the Book of Life not having anything to do with us as we are sealed. You’re a very practical preacher as you don't muddle things up that are so plain to see. I need to work on that for sure. Why do men keep believing something they can clearly see is wrong…same answer today! I always always learn many things with each lesson. Thank you so very much!
The Lambs book of life, yet another staunch belief I must purge from my vocabulary as pertains to the Body of Christ in the name of precision and truth. Rev 20:12 'And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.' When examined from the perspective of mid Acts dispensationalism it becomes crystal clear that we are not and can not be referred to in this verse. Not only are we, the Body of Christ, not dead, but, on the day that this verse refers to we will already have appeared before the judgment seat of Christ and received our rewards and position in heavenly places. Therefore it is impossible for us to be included with those who are judged by the things written in the books. In fact, in light of this understanding a new question comes to mind. Perhaps, David, you could address this in an upcoming Q&A. 1Cor 6:2 'Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?' Question: Could 1 Cor 6:2 be referring to this very time and event?
@Craig Luchin We would say that the seven churches of Revelation are kingdom churches that come into existence after the Rapture not churches that existed during the dispensation of grace. Hope this helps.
Hi Robert. The Ezekiel 36 segment in your study with your example of 1.9.4.8. intrigued me. Quick question. A simple yes or no as an answer is all I am looking for, but if the lawyer in you wants to expand that would be welcomed. Not trying to trap you with any answer you provide.... LOL! Question: Is it possible for the worldly Nation of Israel (whether man contrived/conceived or perhaps *other*) to still be part of Ezekiel 36 prophesy, and for that area of the world as it stands now to be the stage for the final fulfillment as described in the versus surrounding that chapter in Ezekiel? Thank you in advance for any reply!
@@ColumbusBibleChurch I finished watching the corresponding sermon. I appreciate that you are consistent in the message/scripture delivers and do not stray from the dispensationalist POV. I know it is man's nature to project future events based upon the here and now, and that is certainly the case with *generations* and applying correlating timeframes to 1.9.4.8. and that it is not what you "know" that can hurt you the most, but what "you know" that just isn't so. What I have taken away from the study is that the Age of Grace and its conclusion is beholden to no earthly events during that period even if they resemble 'prophecy'. I guess the only real defining factor as to the close of the Age of Grace is that which can be found in 2nd Timothy chapter 3. I fear the condition of men as related in 2nd Timothy during our times can still blossom more. Just as an aside. Totally speculating here. But would it be out of the realm of possibility that the covenant the Man of Sin will confirm with many that Daniel relates is that very covenant scripture says The Lord has with His people of *time past* with that of the Promised Land, occupation, and inheritance?
Interesting question. We are not sure that scripture specifically indicates the content of the covenant, but it is clear that the beast breaks the covenant in the midst of the 70th week.
So is Ezekiel 36:9-12 fulfilled today since 1880s to 1948 onward to the beginning of the tribulation?, and then is Ezekiel 36:13 onward through Ezekiel 48 fulfilled at the end of the tribulation?
Good Morning Pastor David. So the churches in Asia at the time of Paul were those in the body and if he lost them all does that mean they were saved but went into apostasy. I agree the 7 churches are prophetic. Thank you.
Revelation 3: 4. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. This means there are those who are not worthy in the church in Sardis. Rev 3: 5. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. This means they who are not worthy will have their names blotted out of the book of life. Now let’s see what happens if one’s name is not in the book of life. Revelation 20: 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. This means those in Sardis who are not worthy will be cast into the lake of fire. Now tell me can a saved member of the body of Christ be cast into the lake of fire? How does the warning to be worthy or have your names blotted out of the book of life be relevant to the church which is the body of Christ? The church which is the body of Christ consists of ONLY believers because Gentiles who profess themselves as Christians and join the various denominations but do not believe in the death and resurrection of Christ are UNBELIEVERS and thus are NOT a member of the body of Christ. Unbelieving Gentiles are not members of God’s church. Jesus can’t be speaking to them. Who is Jesus speaking to in the letter to the church in Sardis? Jesus can’t be speaking to any member of the body of Christ in Sardis who are already saved as it’s irrelevant! Jesus also can’t be speaking to Gentiles who profess themselves as Christians because they are not members of His church. But it’s clear Jesus is speaking to unbelievers in the church in Sardis. Who are God’s people who are unbelieving whom God wants to save in the church in Sardis as well as all the 7 churches? Jews of course. Jews are God’s chosen people, His church. All the children of Israel, the descendants of Jacob are His chosen people, His church. They have been His church since they were in the wilderness (Acts 7:38 KJB). The church which is the assembly of children of Israel consists of believing ones as well as unbelieving ones. Jesus is definitely calling the unbelieving Jews to overcome or else have their names blotted out and be cast into the lake of fire. This is another evidence beside Rev 2:11 why the 7 churches in Revelation are not the 7 stages of the church which is the body of Christ throughout history in these 2000 years. NOPE! The teaching that the 7 churches are the 7 stages of the body of Christ throughout history is prevalent in Christendom but is a false teaching as the verses in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 prove that it’s impossible for the 7 churches to be the church which is the body of Christ. In fact if you study every single warning in Revelation2 and 3 and think logically and rightly dividing God’s word, you will see Jesus can’t be speaking to the body of Christ in these 7 letters to the 7 churches simply because there is NO unbeliever in the BODY of Christ! ONLY those who believe the gospel of salvation are members of His church which is His body.
In fact, if we scrutinize Rev 1,2 and 3, we will see that it’s simply impossible that Jesus is speaking to the body of Christ. Thus, the 7 churches can’t possibly be the body of Christ. No way! Take Rev 2:11 KJB. The church is told to overcome or be hurt of the second death aka the lake of fire. How is it logical for Jesus to warn the body of Christ who is saved, washed, sanctified and justified of the possibility any of the members of the body of Christ be cast into the lake of fire since no member of the body of Christ can be cast into the lake of fire? There is no unbeliever in the body of Christ. But Rev 2:11 tells us Jesus is speaking to unbelieving ones in the church. Therefore, the 7 churches are not the church which is the body of Christ. The 7 churches are assemblies of Jews during the 70th week.

A big Amen brother Reid. So many good points...
Thank you for cleaning up The Seven Churches in Revelation vs. what I’ve been hearing for years.

Good classification.
When do the 7 churches exit??
When did the Book of Revelation actually written???
The seven churches come into existence after the Catching Up.
Hi Dave, so you’re saying that the seven churches in revelation two and three are the churches that are left behind after the rapture?
@Craig Luchin We would say that the seven churches of Revelation are kingdom churches that come into existence after the Rapture not churches that existed during the dispensation of grace. Hope this helps.
Maybe man wants to know where they are in prophecy today, because they want to know how much longer until they will be with Jesus.

@vanessaG275 Yes, sadly, many of those that Paul taught went into apostasy. Grace.
@@ColumbusBibleChurch Thank you for your reply.
How did you learn all this..
He studies.

Revelation 20: 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
This means those in Sardis who are not worthy will be cast into the lake of fire.

Rev 1:6 (cf Exo 19:6), Rev 2:11, Rev 2:26-27, Rev 3:5, Rev 2:9, 3:9, Rev 3:12 show us the 7 churches can’t possibly be the body of Christ.
In fact, if we scrutinize Rev 1,2 and 3, we will see that it’s simply impossible that Jesus is speaking to the body of Christ. Thus, the 7 churches can’t possibly be the body of Christ. No way!

There is no unbeliever in the body of Christ.
But Rev 2:11 tells us Jesus is speaking to unbelieving ones in the church.
Therefore, the 7 churches are not the church which is the body of Christ.
The 7 churches are assemblies of Jews during the 70th week.
