It it s just AMAZING to see that every one of these songs on youtube has several pages of kids trying to argument which genre the song and band is. I salute you!
Wow, I remember this band and video. I used to go to Scream and Helter Skelter all the time back in the late 80's. Saw the Abecedarians live there a couple of times. Drowning Pool used to play there too. I've now become good friends with the original Drowning Pool. Great times.
@TheEmeraldRitual A lot of people who claim to be "goth" don't really understand that (at least in the 80's) it was about the music. It's not about wearing black and looking as weird as you can. I've met people claim to be "goth" who don't know Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Ministry. They are musically clueless. That's stupid.
In the 80's goth was mainstream cause of the News covering it. in the 90's it went nderground because of the Lack of news coverage an mainstream record companys sighing bands. 00's its rescurected with bands like cinema strange, Frank the baptist etcetc. from now on its never going away again! 2010 here we come...with force
great video. not sure i cared for the song entirely, but it wasn't bad. probably going to check out more of them because i think they may have some songs i like more.
@TheEmeraldRitual These bands were to the goth movement what Nirvana was to Grunge. You could see their videos on 120 minutes (MTV's alternative videos show of the 80's). That was my time. So when I meet people who call themselves "goth" and they don't know Bauhaus or Sisters of Mercy, then they really aren't familiar with the subculture and its roots.
@fac3308 Wow indeed - But "individual" I am not so sure; If I didn't know the band or the song, I would probably think it was Bauhaus or David Bowie:) Still a good song though - I do miss the old Goth music. Sooo disappointed with more recent music:(
i use to hear the lead vocal was somewhat conceited or self absorbed back than but he was married if I remember and his wife had a store on Melrose.......................

Does anyone know how to get to that spot at 2:47?! It's The Old Zoo but I don't know where is it more up?
Quite talented band....the video reminds me of "metropolis"...:)
I agree to that. They all sound the same today.
YES I love the term Death Rock over Goth and I loved going to Helter Skelter :)
god I miss this club!
(Scream)
wow, hail to you then!
it speaks the truth
Wow! Back in the days when goth bands had their own individual sounds!
come on kids, Rozz and Patric had distinctive styles and personalities and both were campy! that's what deathrock was/is all about.
fyi, i loved this record when it came out.
@zombiefaith all the way man i live by l.a. and its still some what living there

@stars7803 If you ask me goth is dead it has been ever since Industrial came around I am glad we have Death rock
Fuckin awesome
FUCK YES!
who was in the origional line up?
California Deathrock!
i like her hair
And when the term "goth" didn't even exist yet!!!
This band is death-rock which is separate from Goth rock both evolved from post-punk and share many similarities though.
rozz was cheesy too! shiny blackness? that isnt cheesy?
@fac3308 Death-rock not Goth;silly.
Evanescence is 'goth' to them. I guess it might as well be, since the name 'goth' didn't even exist until relatively late.
LOOOL its XD
OK, who thinks they stole the bassline fron Fleetwood Mac's Chains?
15 people were beat by their mothers as a child
Has no one realised any degree of irony in my post?
I always liked Patrick. *shrug*
After all, he created Deathrock.................My friend has met him and said he's nice but pretentious.
pretty damn good. sound quality sucks, tho
i use to hear the lead vocal was somewhat conceited or self absorbed back than but he was married if I remember and his wife had a store on Melrose.......................
Modern Girls
esta bien rara esta madre
This sounds little bit grunge to me.
I saw them at scream and a couple other places. Back than he did come off as kind of egotistical / tried to be the popular , hip one etc.
Rozz was alot better than patrick atleast his lyrics weren't cheassy
