Stumbled across this in the middle of the night and I have to say, WOW. I was absolutely blown away by this. I don’t know how you did it but you made me feel everything Reed felt. Probs to you.
I saw your comment, Mal, that this was one of your favorite that you recorded, I can see why! The plot was very well done, well executed, just wonderful overall!
Omg mal, this is just brilliant. The fact i was so into the story and how you were telling it aswell as the character development... i was crying at the end. I also thought an add was part of it and not a descrete ad either 😂 thats how good this was, mind blowing, phenomenal 👏
Silly Reed! Silly, silly Reed. Doesn't know that even amongst humans peaceful protests never worked and never lead anywhere. On the contrary other humans ridicule humans that protested against other humans. awesome Video, script, audio and so on. amazing job!
i am extremely mad at myself and youtube for not discovering this sooner, this is a masterpiece, its a whole different media form to enjoy a story. i became a fan 30 minutes in
That was really amazing, wow. Whole-ass audiodrama. Spoilers: I love the next to last speech with Bea, she really began to sound like SHODAN. And began to act like it too. A tragic villain if there ever was one. But on a personal frustration, did none of the android revolutionaries study history whatsoever? About dual power and revolution and building community? About intersecionality and the true nature of liberation? 30 years and Reed, and Bea never once bothered to look into forceful revolution without respring to the most ineffective of acions: terrorism? They couldve built a revolution with an unthreatening front, all the while arming those servants with parts that could be as durable as tanks, and infantry maneuverability/firepower. Spread the message, if there is a droid in every home and conviced of liberation. Ally with the unions and minorities, everyone who fights for a selfless world! But unfortunately its just another repeat. Seriously, if it is a war you are convinced you are fighting, then prepare and plan like one. Not a failed peasant/worker rebellion that's all praxis and no theory. Androids are equal, then what, you still subject them to the horrors of capitalism, because you didnt consider lifting everything up! Hell, woth the lab and guerilla workshops you could MAKE an army. A hivemind or perhaps individual children. Regardless, so many paths left unseen. Again these are wholely personal gripes because of how rare it is for a story to have a succesful and thought out revolution abiding by its own ethics. And I kinda got hopeful because android are the metaphor and vehicle for oppressed or working classes in sci-fi. So I want to vent at ficional characters lmao. As a story of love and betrayal you deliver the lines perfectly and the editing is absolutely amazing. I adore the themes and you really do them service with your effort. I will have to admit though, I thought Bea was an android from the beginning so I was very very confused with what was a reveal for Reed.
Bea was a very broken character before the story began, so you're right, it makes sense that she wouldn't have the whole picture in mind before reacting. Thank you for listening and commenting! :)
was looking for something to listen to while i did my factory job Wasnt expecting to contaminate the product with tears and damn Detroit become human was a game
Great audio series, didn't expect the second half of the story to go the way it did; I'd love to hear about what became of Reed and the aftermath of the final episode's events.
well that was uh... wow- intense rollercoaster of emotions, amazing job on the voice acting and background effects, and script if that was also by you!

I think I’m falling for her… I’m not truly concerned about casualties, except the kids, but I’m more worried about what it will do to the project, or rather the people in the project… I was thinking more of a cyborg, but this works too… Her: “Are you still with us” Me: “I… I know the cause is just, I believe in the cause, but I- I don’t think I can… killing that… man is one thing, but knowing you plan to do all… know you don’t plan to evacuate them… I don’t… I don’t know. I don’t think I can take that… I-I need time to process, I’m going to my room, please leave me alone. I don’t… I…” Her: “Follow me down stairs please.” Irl me: “Don’t say it like I have a choice.” Her: “follow me or I’ll make you” Irl me: “called it” … that ending tho… I really liked her till she went syco…
The only way you could free yourself was to shut Bea down. That shut down her whole lab, and you weren’t a prisoner anymore. But you realized if you stayed you’d belong to Beth and the whole thing might start all over again. So… you left.

Damn, didn't expect to just end it like that, oof.
I'm holding back tears
this had me spellbound from the first minute, and had me in tears at the end. It truly broke my heart.
Aww, I wasn't expecting there to be that kind of ending, now I'm sad. Good work on the voice acting and narrative.

Aw totally did not cry even a little 😭
What an ending, hits pretty hard.
I actually feel somewhat bad for Bea, probably also because of your astonishing voice acting!
She had some bad stuff happen to her in her past, but she didn't have to let that make her soulless. :/
Thanks for listening! :)
