- How-to guide on how I upgraded my CRF250L headlight to the 450L headlight.
This is a pretty cheap and simple upgrade which can be done with fairly basic tools. I purchased the CRF450L headlight, front fender and a universal handlebar mount switch on AliExpress. I think it cost me roughly $150 AUD total incl shipping and tool me around 2 hours to fit including all fiddling around time to get the angle right.
outside of the upgrade in appearance, this headlight is genuinely far brighter and more functional than the factory headlight.
Upload more please, especially about Piaggio scooters you have the best videos about this subject 👍
@@bakirbb4314 I do my scooter videos on the Scooter Street channel, though I may do some more on here shortly as I've acquired a new Zip
@@bradspeed69 I watch those too, some of the best on you tube, you should do more if you have time ofcourse
@@bakirbb4314 I recently got a new Piaggio zip, which I'll be doing some videos with for sure
How about the wirering? The stock headlight has a 3 pin connector right? Can you also just use the original wireing and switches or do you have to add another switch? I would like to have low beam and day light all time on and just switch to high beam. Thats also how it was stock on my bike (obviously without the day light). Would I therefore only have to connect the day light and low beam in row on the 450l headlight?
@@nils8485 Yes stock is 3 pin, you could absolutely wire it how you've described. You'd just need to either make a wire junction to send the low beam power to both the low beam and the daytime running light, or probably the easier method - daisy chain it by crimping an extra wire into the low beam when crimping the pins on for the new plug, and running that into the daytime running light.
What plastics do you have on there??? I love the rear fender is that the stock 250l fender??
@@keakuanavarro7404 They're all the stock plastics with the exception of the front fender and headlight. The tail tidy comes with a new tailight which tucks under the fender and makes it look alot better. It's DRC brand from memory
@@bradspeed69I can’t find any other crf250L with these plastics you got a special edition or something man
@@gabrielbrown8557 Weird, maybe the Australian version has a different fender? I have two friends with 250L's and their factory body panels are identical to mine. What country are you in?
@@bradspeed69ohhh that’s exactly what it is man. I’m in America and they don’t look nearly as cool here. they are just red and white here damn… I need to know how to get my hands on those!
@gabrielbrown8557 the earlier pre 2017 model in Australia was like that, red and white with a slightly different looking rear end. My understanding is the chassis is the same, there's a website in Thailand that sells body panel kits, including a black one that looks awesome.
How do you got the new plastics on your 250?
@@ramonlopiccolo4049 They're all stock plastics except for the headlight and front fender
I just realized this is a 300L
@@gabrielbrown8557 Nope, she's definitely a 250L
imagine if you recorded full tutorial xD
