Seems pointless? You can do all of this just with custom content types and standard fields. And it will work everywhere, not just in views.

By this module, you can add 'n' number of entity types like "content types" and under them you can have 'n' number of bundles like "article", "page". Whereas in standard content types, you can have only 'n' number of bundles. Hope, you got it.
