I also wanted to tell all of you how much your comments meant to me. It took me 3 days to work up the nerve to open the video. When I saw such kind responses, I knew I had nothing to be afraid of. Tiny house people are the nicest people and the nicest tiny house people are ITH people!
You are such a nice lady. Thank you for sharing your story. Im sitting here on top of a heater in my big house i can not afford to heat. I am blessed i have my property but can not fix up this house any more. I am looking to get my tiny and park it in back side yard. My container garden, chickens will be my view with my woods behind. The prices have went up so much lately i saved up 25k and now they are 50k. Love your house and the community your in.

I remember when they offer to build your own. So glad her dreams came true. Kindness to others, usually brings it out in others. We have family members that are 4" 9 to 4' 10 inches. They would appreciate this home.

What shes describing her last home was like sounds just like where I'm living now. I want so badly to have my tiny and a lot/property to put it on. I look so forward to the day I can donate all of my unwanted or unneeded belonging and live tiny and be able to plant a tiny garden and flowers and decorate all around outside. That's my dream😍
Start by giving and donating unneeded items now, put your dream in motion… you’ll be surprised how you can manifest by YOU taking the first step. I started downsizing 10 years prior. Had my THOW built; took ownership over a year ago. Currently wintering in Barbados.
When I saw the house, I was wow, I like this house. The large awning, the siding, really looked like a farm house. Then I really really liked the inside, such a warm and cozy home! But the best was Cheryl herself, what a beautiful lady! You can tell she is happy and content! What a great tour Randy! Carson did a great job of editing and adding music! An extra bonus was seeing Ace running around playing with his new friend!
My house is named Lillie Maye, after my 2 grandmothers. They were both hard-working women who made the best out of what life handed them. I have had so many more opportunities than they did.

Believe me when I say that you could be making lots more money for what you do but you were thinking of people first. Her story sounds like mine. Buying a home and having to spend money to fix it. One thing always leads to another. Makes a lot of sense to have a tiny home, where you have enough of what you need. Happy almost retirement Jan!!! It's so close... Just a blink away... Love how cheerful your house is.. A recent filmed tour of ITH drove through that way...down each of the streets, and our lot is empty, so we never get to see it on film.. But I hit a bit geeky when the camera passed our electric metre... So silly but I hit goose bumps... So excited for all that is to come ahead... And hoping your move goes smooth and well... I slept in that bunkroom in Enka for a week, it was like camp. I thought it was so cool that you were providing the space for folks to build. their own tiny homes. I volunteered because your tiny homes were cheaper than everyone else's and I wanted to see if you were building them correctly (LOL) and yes you were! Cheryl seems vaguely familiar, I think she was finishing up her tiny house when I got there, or maybe she hung out for a little extra time afterwards, she looks and sounds so familiar. I made a model out of card stock and made a refrigerator with doors that opened to reveal drawings of the food I planned to have in it.Same for the washer/dryer. But not the toilet. 😂

My nephew made that for me. He would like to have a tiny someday. The picture of my house was painted by my former landlord’s daughter. She painted it for me while I was away in Ireland.

I’m in The Bird’s Nest in east Texas. Dog-friendly (obviously), and nights around the fire pit, solving the world’s problems. We share what we have (I have the community’s Bundt pan) and look out for one another. We are all very different so we each have something to offer.
I have watched almost every video Randy has ever done. This one is, BY FAR, my FAVORITE! She is adorable! And she loves her life because of ITH! I’m just crying tears of joy!❤
Wow! So happy for her! This is definitely the way to live for a single person. They are surrounded by love and a great sense of community. They spend evenings talking and watching the sun set in a totally safe environment. This is wonderful!

Love the outside of Cheryl's tiny home. The white exterior, white and wood interior with colorful decor is perfect. I can understand why Cheryl expresses appreciation for her home each day. I've wanted a tiny home for quite some time. Hearing you and Cheryl talk about the workshop she had attended to help build her home, I recalled back when I had read online about tiny home workshops. I wanted so badly to attend, but didn't have the money. Likely some were advertising the workshop you offered. I understand Cheryl saying it was a life changing experience, staying several days in your warehouse and working together with you folks, able to leave with her very own forever home. In 2021 I drew up a simple plan for a pair of Amish builders to build me a 8'x14' framed structure. They put on a metal roof and board and batten siding with two simple windows. I've been adding insulation, a floor, electric wires, walls and some decor. I've not found my bit of land to buy just yet so am temporarily parked in a family member's backyard. Sometimes stressful in this temporary setting but am so close to creating a forever home meant just for me. I see how Incredible Tiny Homes is a blessing for so many. Thanks for all you do!
Randy, you are not going to believe this. Unless my memory is twisted, the gentleman that leases these RV slots outside Decatur TX, also sells the storm shelters you saw on her property. I bought one from him and it was installed in Spur TX around 2017. Spur is in the Rolling Plains of West Texas. We came out here from Mesquite TX (Dallas TX suburb) looking for a lot for tiny house people. I just thought it was funny to make a connection with someone in East Texas thru a storm shelter. Thank you for all you and your wonderful staff do.......making peoples' dreams a reality. Just love these moments. They are close to my heart. Live Simple. God Bless Y'all.
You have a good eye for details! I lived at Tiny Lots on the Prairie outside Decatur, TX for 4 years. The owner, Brett West is also the owner of US Storm Shelters so we had multiple options when a storm blew through! I was usually in one of the above -ground safe rooms in the shop. He’s a good guy and he’ll treat you right, whether you need a storm shelter, a place to park your tiny, or both!

In my state they have teacher retirement from state. The school system did not pay into social security.

I slept in that bunkroom in Enka for a week, it was like camp. I thought it was so cool that you were providing the space for folks to build. their own tiny homes. I volunteered because your tiny homes were cheaper than everyone else's and I wanted to see if you were building them correctly (LOL) and yes you were! Cheryl seems vaguely familiar, I think she was finishing up her tiny house when I got there, or maybe she hung out for a little extra time afterwards, she looks and sounds so familiar. Thanks Cheryl for showing us your sweet home and sharing your inspiring story! So glad to hear you're loving your home.
I went back to Enka a couple of times and I was at the last Jam before Covid. We have probably met but I’m horrible with names AND faces.

I love her story and her Tiny House! Great personality I know if I ever met her we would be instant friends.. I do the same thing with graph paper laying it all out cutting out furniture pcs to see how it fits!! Randy you not only showed her how to work in her own home you changed her life for the better!
I made a model out of card stock and made a refrigerator with doors that opened to reveal drawings of the food I planned to have in it.Same for the washer/dryer. But not the toilet. 😂

I’m in The Bird’s Nest in east Texas. Dog-friendly (obviously), and nights around the fire pit, solving the world’s problems. We share what we have (I have the community’s Bundt pan) and look out for one another. We are all very different so we each have something to offer.

Robyn, the owner of The Bird’s Nest is afraid of wind. So she lives in a tiny house on the outskirts of Tornado Alley. 😂 More proof that you can make tiny work for you!
Love the outside of Cheryl's tiny home. The white exterior, white and wood interior with colorful decor is perfect. I can understand why Cheryl expresses appreciation for her home each day. I've wanted a tiny home for quite some time. Hearing you and Cheryl talk about the workshop she had attended to help build her home, I recalled back when I had read online about tiny home workshops. I wanted so badly to attend, but didn't have the money. Likely some were advertising the workshop you offered. I understand Cheryl saying it was a life changing experience, staying several days in your warehouse and working together with you folks, able to leave with her very own forever home. In 2021 I drew up a simple plan for a pair of Amish builders to build me a 8'x14' framed structure. They put on a metal roof and board and batten siding with two simple windows. I've been adding insulation, a floor, electric wires, walls and some decor. I've not found my bit of land to buy just yet so am temporarily parked in a family member's backyard. Sometimes stressful in this temporary setting but am so close to creating a forever home meant just for me. I see how Incredible Tiny Homes is a blessing for so many. Thanks for all you do!

Randy, you are not going to believe this. Unless my memory is twisted, the gentleman that leases these RV slots outside Decatur TX, also sells the storm shelters you saw on her property. I bought one from him and it was installed in Spur TX around 2017. Spur is in the Rolling Plains of West Texas. We came out here from Mesquite TX (Dallas TX suburb) looking for a lot for tiny house people.
I just thought it was funny to make a connection with someone in East Texas thru a storm shelter.

You have a good eye for details! I lived at Tiny Lots on the Prairie outside Decatur, TX for 4 years. The owner, Brett West is also the owner of US Storm Shelters so we had multiple options when a storm blew through! I was usually in one of the above -ground safe rooms in the shop.
He’s a good guy and he’ll treat you right, whether you need a storm shelter, a place to park your tiny, or both!

We are more entertaining than handy but that doesn’t stop us. When we put our heads (and whichever body parts are working) together we can do a lot.
