India is on the top of my list of places to see. Especially in the area where you're at. There's a little city called Rishikesh where the Beatles went to meditate in the 1960's. Beautiful video.
Yes, Swampzoid. Rishikesh is in the first episode >> ua-cam.com/video/ZDzOZ43s324/v-deo.html Hope you will visit UTTARAKHAND in 2019. BTW, I am one of The Beatles fans! They've just celebrated 50 years of WHITE ALBUM this year of which the songs were written in Rishikesh in 1968 :)
Yes remember that time of Beatlemania VERY well! Himachal Pradesh is an AMAZINGLY beautiful spot in North India but farther West. The Dalai Lama's hometown in India is Dharamsala, and another beautiful spot is Shimla, oh, and Dehra Dun. These are some of the many, old British "Hill Stations" where the British would migrate to stay cooler in the Hot Summers in India's plains. It stays cool in the Summer and even snows in the Winter. It's gorgeous with the huge Himalaya mountains in the background! Fun while alone because the people are so friendly, fun with a friend, or even great for a couple. It's also MUCH cheaper than Europe. An EXPENSIVE hotel is $20.00 - $25.00. Something simple is $10.00 - $12.00 ...or even less. North India is also quite safe. Less beggars as well.

Uttarakhand is a hidden gem ! There are alot of spiritual and natural hideouts here which only locals know and are very less commercialized due to lack of roads and remote locations and i guess this is the only reason these places are still presereved ! You should visit "Munsyari" in pithoragarh district a few kilometers away from nanital the treks and bugyals there are still untouched ! The kumao region of uttarakhand is very less known to many

@@ArtThomyaJourney great post about Uttrakhand. Being a native from Uttrakhand IMHO nanital is way overrated.
