Daniela Stornelli bc there are things that high school students shouldnt probably say (like talking about doing number 17) etc. They couldn't put it into tv show for teenagers I think. And it would be too long
They have to do full version of the song with the original glee girl's. Pop = Tina Six = Mercedes Squish = Quinn Huhu = Brittany Cicero = Santana Lipschitz = Rachel.
i thought this performance was great, and I'm a hard core Chicago fan😂. i love how they showed coach beaste's (i think that's her name) bad relationship. i think Santana was the best tho 😍
It's kinda creepy when you listen to the lyrics in context it's a bunch of adults playing scantally clad teenagers singing about murdering their spouse significant other's
Cell Block Tango is from the Broadway musical 'Chicago' and this song takes place in jail, with all the women singing about how they murdered their spouses. It makes sense via the musical, but I guess if you don't know the true context it can be kinda creepy.
That was exactly the point. They had no idea what this song actually is! And later in that episode they realise it and they feel guilty and try to apologize.
As someone who's playing one of the merry murderesses in my school performance, the whole point of this song is supposed to be filled with anger and stuff. They were nice singers, but the cover and monologue was just too soft for the actual song.
A woman talks in an angry tone about how a man broke her heart, that's whatever. But when you hear her talking in a 'cheery' tone about killing a man, now THAT is frightening. This rendition is on point.
MG Production Films I kinda see where you're coming from but the way they sing doesn't seem cheery to me. It just seems soft and gentle which in my opinion ruined the mood of the song. Though I agree they sang well. I respect your opinion but that's just my view on it. :)
it was kind of supposed to be bad, as they missed the point of the assignment. wouldn't make sense if the meaning of this episode was something other than this song but this song was the best part of the episode, it would take away from the meaning of this particular episode
Quiet Stream Yeah, so? Some people stumble over this video to see iterations of this song because of their love for it, wanting to know how it sounds by yet another different cast. I never watched glee as a whole and I for one do not know what is going on with the coach, etc. No need to get mad at people for just genuinely wanting to have a listen without knowing the material this is from religiously.
doesn´t matter if you are high school kids if you have talent you better do the act good and even better than the original that is the idea right?? the show Glee is about showing hiding talents from kids you just never knew they could have it but in this song they don't show it
it's the " *phooohp* " for me 😍 the way tina narrate the story her voice her acting was amazing *and let's talk about mike😍 he make me straight more than I am* *those shoulders that back!! like ommmg he's a male body goal*
Yh I almost cried because she hasn't had a real relationship and she thinks that she isn't beautiful but to me I think she's beautiful everyone is beautiful in their own way
juju on doe videos juju with doe videos - so a man can hit his girlfriend or wife if they don’t have a “good relationship” I fucking hate double standards.
Dani & Alison I think he just means she retaliated to something, rather than hitting him senseless for no reason like is portrayed on most media to do with domestic violence
@@MegaXavi999 You misunderstood. Their vocals and whole performance are off, because the the in-universe characters are high school naive girls (also Glee as a show had to keep it kinda PG). It lacks both rawness and emotions from the iconic Chicago movie, because the girls were simply too young and inexperienced to understand that it's a story about frustration, love, hate, being unfairly judged and women's oppression in general. The song was supposed be an empowerment for coach Beiste, who was experiencing abuse from his partner, but it completely missed the point.
"He ran into my knife...he ran into my knife ten times"
Santana you need to chill!!
And that's how they do it in Lima Heights 😂😂
Nah she doesn't XD
Hey he ran into it... and that’s why you don’t play with nives
That's what happens in Lima Heights Adjacent, what Santana warned us about😂

We should 😍

She kinda slayed
It sucks they couldn't have done the full seven minute song it would have been so awesome they aced this part
look for a studio recording of it, they tend to do full studio versions of songs they cover.
why they couldn't? this was going SO great..
Daniela Stornelli bc there are things that high school students shouldnt probably say (like talking about doing number 17) etc. They couldn't put it into tv show for teenagers I think. And it would be too long
Have any of you actually seen the movie Chicago because if you did you would know they sucked. The voices are terrible for this
Kamila have you even seen this show😂😂
No not chew...POP!
Carolyn Rice what did that mean tho like chewing gum does that mean cheating or what?!?!

thats the episode sugar comes in.
catgirl 0615 are you stupid now she comes and the start of season 3
srry my friend was over at my house and she commented that. I know sugar comes in on the Purple Piano Project.
PizzaLover3 True that, true that.
This was so sad when they showed how she was in the kitchen. She just sit there and he screamed at her.I hate brutallity
I have to admit that I totally have a crush on Santana and I'm most likely not the only one
Same girl/Boy 😂😂
We all have a crush on her. 👁️💧👄💧👁️
I’m gay for Santana
Sophia Grande I’m pansexual
I'm bisexaul

It’s ok same 💕
I’m Brittany.
They have to do full version of the song with the original glee girl's.
Pop = Tina

Otaku rachel wasnt in the shortened version tho. 🤔

I mean you spelled it wrong but yeah lol
Santana is the best singer, but Brittany is the best dancer.
TJUC123 nah santana's both
they did good but for the speaking parts they honestly did injustice
Billie Connor Yeah, me too! Also, it’s “Beiste”.
I swear to god the way Santana says “Cicero” I could listen on repeat no wonder I’m bi

That was exactly the point. They had no idea what this song actually is! And later in that episode they realise it and they feel guilty and try to apologize.
Lol me and my friend sang it in middle school but we were just wearing black dresses
Unpopular opinion: i like Tina's narration much more than Santana's
Attaboy same even though I think Santana should be the only character
Attaboy I agree 100%. I actually love Tina in this number (and most numbers). Jenna has a lovely voice and it was severely under-utilized.
Noooooo I hate Tina. Santana is queen
I knooow! i was so disappointed of this version

it’s such a crime that they didn’t do the whole song cause i would’ve wanted to see sugar and brittany’s part

one of my favorite songs on glee
Glee literally introduced me to this musical and for that i am FOREVER grateful
I remeber being simply shocked by that song in the episode. Just because of Biest having to endure it. But vocally it was great.
one of the best glee performances ever
Luna Lovegood
I love ur nameeee!
