They are all nice, I like that the 3rd one has a driveway so you don't have to park on the street also any place with a garage or carport makes it easier to bring things in from your vehicle when it's raining and the ground is some what icy on the ground. 🙂
Whichever house has the train's you might want to drive by it at 12AM or 1AM, train's run at night and you will be able to see how loud they are.👍

Nick, I'm not sure how you feel about Feng Shui when looking at homes, however Nick, the "SUPER HOMIE and COZY" remarks is a Hugh statement, your senses definetly elevated after visiting that home. Good Luck on hour house hunting!!!! Lots of positive vibes your way!!

Wishing you a great cross-country roadtrip! I think it is amazing to be a self-made property owner at 27 going to 28. Not everyone can achieve it this young, especially with curent property prices. Reflecting on my own investment experience, diversification is key. Real estates are not liquid assets and have associated costs vs stocks that are liquid and dynamic. Long term stock market investment in solid companies is a great way towards financial independence. One thing you already know is that there is no easy money, successful investments require some hard work in the background. 💪

House # 2 tall dark and handsome with dark features really nice style. I would keep looking. The builders are dropping/building these houses wherever there is a patch of ground. House that was really weird set up, style does not match the houses next door, dropped in a new build. Always concerned with a train coming thru the house. Location location. Bring on house hunt #3.

My suggestion. Donr go for the subdivision areas. Find a house somewhat close to your mother with enough land that another house can be built later. Live in the one there for now. Build your ideal place later. And if close to Mom it will come in handy to be closer to her as the years tick away. That is basically what I did with my late parents. And I added a steam shower, wet and dry saunas, and spa that kept my buds on a nice rotation 😊

First of all what brand & type of trousers are you wearing? Love that style! House No.1 No way! No.2 I like the Bauhaus design and great shape/cut! No.3 is so you! No.4 Nice, but boring and not you. No.5 is ok, but not you. No.6 really nice but not 100% Mostly I was trying to imagine your baking vids in these houses if that could fit 😂

Being in San Francisco single homes in the 80 - 100 year range are the norm.
You can get nice size rooms and solid construction.

Good luck on your continued search. That 4th one (I think), it must be in a great location for over $820k with about 2400 sq ft, the price seems a bit high. I do like the 3rd one (the one with the locked lockbox) but you are spot on on the resale aspect with the railroad right near you. You'll find the right one eventually!

The new build was nice and had a younger vibe, but 4 homes on one lot would be a no go for me.
The older remodeled home would be my pick.

When i saw the 2nd house you saw i was like that one is nice, it feels like home, right before you described it as "homey", i wanted to high five you and say "that's the one" lol. Even if it's a rental for a little while i want it to feel like home, you know what i mean? i'm sentimental like that lol, anyway that one spoke to me but i wasn't there, it's about how YOU feel. I already told you the ones i liked in part 1, looking forward to you making the best choice possible. Hope you enjoy your time with the fam.

Liked the one you thought was homey. Appeared the resale might be better because the other properties will have a limited market. Not all like the flights of stairs in townhomes nor the congestion of several houses on 1 lot, which reminds me of vacation homes in Orlando.

#1 was that actual code for an apartment?😮 #3 cozy one. what is train schedule? #2 cool but kinda fishbowl🐠with 4 (amazing how close code will allow units to be (not just there, everywhere)) #4 condo land (good future rental & sale) meets income level better for Nashville & great commute time for city people). #5 what a maze -tall & narrow is putting it mildly. Last one price point like homes on day one. I would go for a day one home over that if go for more lux. don't rush & get some fam/friend imput. Also get on the apps & see if you missed a hot sale!!😊 good house hunting👍
I ended up finding one that it’s particular situation made sense to have an air bnb in it and a landing spot for a year or two until I make it a long term rental!

I would say it’s 80% organic! I try to give myself some flexibility for sure

The new build with the black exterior home was nice, but you could see straight into your neighbours house which is exactly the same design..if you came home after a night of drinking you might forget which house is yours!😂 I prefer some of the homes in the first lot you viewed, but from an investment point, buy the cheapest home in an area that's becoming gentrified. I'm interested to see what house you've bought.

Nick, love a black exterior… BUT is it too trendy? So over B & W interiors, clinical looking white kitchens. We weren’t looking for a townhouse or HOA community. Ultimately that’s where we bought. HOA handles all exterior work, landscape, snow plow, window washing, roads, street lighting, water…it’s very reasonable. Of course you have to upgrade builder finishes to get the home you want.
Most important was the feel…we looked for a short while…cause when you walk in you just know it’s right…wait for that feel. Pick the top 3 look and spend time there, you’ll know quickly the RIGHT one.
100%! Thank you for this - I ended up not going with any of these shown (spoiler alert) and getting something that made more investment sense!
