Lot's of people were complaining and we wanted to keep the spirits high and the fights close so people watch. Oh, and I'd pick melee again if I had the chance. Cannot wait till I get my hands on some spec weapons. And Team Rargh, we've always played the long game. ALWAYS!
Honestly wish you would have just stuck with melee instead of trying to go mage, just stay with melee get black d-hide or better and even if he gets freezes on you he will splash everything else. If you go to wildy u can also get blighted sacks and just freeze him back. I dont understand the logic of diluting your build, you will never out do him in mage. for every 1 freeze you try to get he will have ripped you to shreds with ancient magicks.
@@biggiezee8339 I am not trying to outdo him in mage. I wanted the +10 magic defense the staff gives and thought, let me chuck in a spell here and there. My magic level is for magic defense, not offense
If He goes wildy and get blighted He won't be able to use on fights since they are not o pvp World or in The wildy

When is the sunday episode released?
Rargh, you can alch during the episode for zero-time magic training. Also, a spec weapon is your only chance to win with a KO. You need to bring that dds. You can also start working towards saradomin sword. The hybrid spec will avoid Link's protect melee

When link starts his upgrade there's no way to win this for rargh, not even with fang and black dhide. 2 tick freeze and blood barrage is just too crazy

I think it's super cool Rargh went melee. All the other youtubers went magic so we get to see unique stuff! The spec attack relic is gonna be dope as well if he picks it.
If I was in Rargh's war room, a short suggested gameplan.
This one line will be key: Successful hits have a 10% chance to deal double damage (Brawler's Resolve). What is key about this is that it doesn't specify a combat style!
Massive spec weapon (dds early game and later maybe claws/volatile staff),
Big hitting weapon slow weapon (barristone anchor, godsword, elder maul, etc)
Mage Link in-between (ice spells for binding/dps [they still have 10% chance of double damage] and dissuading Link's pure tank build/camping melee protection).
A focus on relics to get Weapon Master is going to be massive.
The player's special attack energy is restored by 30% every 30 seconds. The lightbearer will increase this to 30% every 15 seconds.
If players do not have enough special attack energy to perform a special attack, they can instead choose to perform additional special attacks by sacrificing 25 Hitpoints. [maybe special attacks that use the whole special can be used twice in a row, such claws into volatile staff]
it takes time to get these mage levels, items, and relics. I am unsure how many episodes it will take for this plan or another plan to come into play. Right now, my thinking is the 10% double damage is a gamble style that will technically give you chances in each fight that will keep getting better as the series moves on, while Link plateaus.
Desert area is needed for Ice spells, virtus armor, and tombs of amascut (lightbearer and fang).
Kourend area: claws/elder maul/kodai (mage training arena needed for it)
Morytania: volatile staff
Asgarnia: ags/Ancient godsword

i mean his solution is to literally 1 shot link with a big spec crit. soul wars taught me that lesson that even protect prayers wont stop you from getting hit by a 50-52 dds spec out of left field. or an 80+ d long spec.

I'm team Rargh but if the next episode is the same (rargh youre dumb af for going mele in leagues....) is the same, im not watching anymore as much as I love yalls content :(
Good luck, Rargh. Eventually you'll both have 99s in stats so there won't be as much of a disadvantage for choosing melee, but a hell of an uphill battle for sure.

With Onyx bolts you would have been immortal (similar to blood spells) but somehow both of you instantly called range bad even though it would most likely just win against anything. Either way the only way Rargh wins this is if he ditches the mid level gear. Taking Fremennik for a lvl 65? weapon and almost nothing else was a waste of time. Just skip slayer, get 70 defense and go straight to barrows. Karil/Ahrim might give you a win before Link gets some gear and kills you in the first freeze again. Maaaaaaaybe d scimmy (or granite mace? or whatever it was) into full dharok one shot? because that could always hit over 100 and kill him no matter what (especially with later relics)
Usuallly I am team Rargh and this is really nothing personal but I think you should probably redo the series with a new account. I would love you to proof me wrong but this is impossible to compete with. Range vs magic is doable as a mager, meele vs anything else just dies. I don't even think it would win vs range because you spam diamond/dragonstone/onyx effects every few seconds.
This fight was much more hype, if Team Rargh pulls out one win, we all win

I like the strats. I think theirs potential to bring this back but its gunna be a struggle. Maybe try your hand at some mini games to try and get some good stuff or xp from those.

Honestly rargh did close the gap pretty well, with a few more gear upgrades he will start tearing through links salad armour, it's the blood heals that will be hard to counter. Maybe he needs some poison in his build?

Farcasting should just be banned in series. Tt doesn't make for an interesting fight at all. In a one-off challenge, sure, why not. But for a long-form series, it just kills the spirit and shouldnt be allowed.
... Rargh never fails to make the worst choices in these PVP challenges... Doesn't choose either Ranged or Mage, the two best styles by far, doesn't choose Desert for better Mage defence, trash choices in Relics and Regions. Honestly they should just restart the series at this point because there is NO way Link loses.
Going team rargh is like going through chemotherapy. What a mess mate. If you are frozen already, and you have the entangle, cast some spells dont just wait until your unfrozen. Your dragon long is not as long as you think

I think late game, melee has a chance to pull through. Going to require a lot more effort and forethought from rargh, but it definitely seems possible to bring it back

Range/Melee seems like it has to be the strat while still gaining mage levels for mage defense. Then there's no need to freeze Link. Would also love to see range xp drops with a cannon! Fremennik has ACB and Zaryte. Feeling more optimistic for Rargh after this episode.
