I always liked the theory that because the Zeo crystals originated outside our galaxy they were mostly unknown powers and the team was still unable to determine their long term effects. What they did know is that over time the crystals grow in power and their teenage bodies wouldn't have been able to handle it at that stage in their lives and as such they needed something more grounded and stable: The Turbo powers. The Turbo powers being more grounded and stable also makes sense if you include the original Turbo movie plot line where Billy had a hand in creating them alongside Alpha and Zordon. Billy, Zordon and Alpha likely realized that the Zeo crystals would eventually be too powerful for the rangers to continue using and formed the new powers to allow them to face off against the next threat. Unfortunately the actor left abruptly and they had to re-write Billy's involvement but since its the original plot line its still canon to me. The reason why Tommy and later on Katherine were able to use the Zeo powers again was because they had grown older and, likely, more powerful so their bodies were better equipped to handle them again. Great video btw! totally subscribed
Teenage bodies lol, dont make me laugh. You are onto something though, I wouldn't say its based on if their bodies are grown or not but the fact that the ZEO crystals could've been too powerful for their human bodies. Whether its stress etc. Its like Kaioken from dragon ball, it has its downsides otherwise its too op.
I like this idea. Some extra fodder for this theory is that once Jason becomes the gold ranger he later has to return the powers back to the original gold ranger due to the effects the powers were having on his body. I don't remember the exact details
I used to blast it in my car on repeat to the dismay of my brothers! "Stronger than before! GO ZEOOO" 🎶 I do love it. I grew out of Power Rangers but when I was like 25 or so I started watching a ton of Power Rangers and I didn't even know about the return of my Fav character Jason! That was an awesome surprise! Zeo is the coolest!! I really really love Lightspeed a lot! Under rated. And Time Force is super rad too. Ninja Storm! And SPD were cool too. I like most of the PR series.
This IMO this is the strongest team in the Power Ranger Universe. Jason plus Tommy is a pretty broken duo. It's so satisfying seeing Jason come back as the 6th ranger in gold.
The only reason I hate when people say that is because megaforce ca n harness their powers and all other rangers power .. so how can zeo be the strongest
@@andrewcruzsmith2343 The power's wielder matters. Tommy Oliver and Jason Lee Scott have been fighting as power rangers for decades at this point. Their experience and raw talent matter. Plus they don't get the full suite of zords and I'm not sure if they get the full arsenal of weapons either.
@ET Hardcorgamer I started to watch Super Sentai when Jetix took over. So in my opinion start from Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. All the seasons from there have amazing and well rounded stories. Also, there are 10 year later movies for Hurricaneger, Dekarenger and others. And some people from the entire series appears in Gokaiger season. I stopped after Gokaiger.
Yes, but meta reasons isn't ENOUGH justification when translating it into narrative form. Good writers can work around that. Kendrix's temporary death was a good example of this, since it was a great heroic sacrifice while also allowing the writers to properly give Karone a true chance at redemption. Conversely, sure, knowing that the old Transformers were killed off in the movie to make way for the new line, but the way it's translated into writing, the end result makes Hot Rod look very bad for his recklessness letting Megatron get an opening to deal a fatal shot, and so kinda makes him being chosen by the Matrix and becoming Rodimus Prime kinda undeserving. I could cite other examples like Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds (though personally, the good rewrites definitely outweigh the bad), Kamen Rider Zi-O's final arc (I still wanna Rider Kick Shirakura in the nuts, hence why I'm not very optimistic for Zenkaiger), and so on.
@@reyonXIII trying to create a continuity is what got Power Rangers into trouble in the first place. Super Sentai has never had such a link between teams, but the folks in charge of Power Rangers didnt want to replace their team every year, that might cut the fan base off, so they tried to force connections between teams that had none and kept using the old suits from Zyuranger for three entire powers, again, because they wanted to keep the fan base they had. PR In Space ends the way it does because they thought they couldnt keep Power Rangers going, it was to be the last season, but it was still so popular that they started following the Sentai formula and replaced the entire team for Lost Galaxy...
@@darkclawgreatonenas I appreciate the infodump but I've been at this as long as you probably have at the very least, so I'm aware of such basic knowledge. But to actually address your point, this is pretty forgivable, as it's pretty early in the franchise. The problem lies with Tzachor and his insistence on adhering to Sentai, which has ONLY worked with Time Force, but I strongly doubt he made the elements that made Time Force actually good, even better in parts than Timeranger. Carranger's use only make sense when you know Tzachor is the king of Sentai purists. And, in the longer term, they've done a lot better about it than Super Sentai has, and, barring a few major hiccups as of the Hasbro era, have been pretty consistent, whereas Toei only really got serious in ensuring a shared universe for Sentai in Gokaiger (the VS movies never counted as canon until then), but then mooshed all 34 series AND their previously non-canon teamups into one universe with little rhyme or reason into how they don't bump into each other. I mostly let it go, coz Naruhisa Arakawa is enough of a loremaster to actually care about details to make it MOSTLY work, unlike Shitnichiro Shitrakura and his yes men with their crossovers, who care little about anything else than mindless flash. Take an actual good look at most Sentai entries. They've all got too many incongruous elements to fit, whereas PR has mostly not tried to step on each entry's boots, and later entries at least try to The number of continuity hiccups PR has in its shared universe can be counted on one hand, two hands if you really gotta be nitpicky. And you missed my main point anyway. They only had to give a legit good reason in-universe why the Turbo powers were "better". Good writing. The behind-the-scenes stuff only create the circumstances and foundation. You gotta make something good out of that.
@@reyonXIII fair enough point, though Sentai crossovers were not a thing until later years if I recall correctly, and the Disney Era of Power Rangers is questionable at best...the Mouse is really good at doing family oriented stuff, but suffers when he tries for action or drama...
I absolutely agree! The turbo powers were definitely a back up plan or plan b. The zeo powers became unstable overtime and could not be used on a regular basis. Zordon always thought ahead knowing the turbo powers were not the strongest.
Same here, but it was the cast change, I couldn't stand. The newbies going to space to find Zordon, that should've been Tommy and co., with their long relationship with him.
@@kingragnork Im the complete opposite i loved Turbo and Zeo was meh to me. I think this was due to them not really using the Machine empire correctly like in Ohranger.
Turbo sucked because the Sentai variant, Carranger was a literal joke of a Sentai series. Its as comical as they come and wasn't meant to be taken seriously which meant that a lot about Turbo is done in America.
I like their suits and when their zords got destroyed it finally put the rangers in place especially because of how generally carefree they got in their battles and won nearly eveytime.
They should have had the Zeo Rangers travel to the planets that the machine empire had a hold on and help liberate them. Meanwhile, Billy made the Turbo Rangers as a “plan b” rear guard for earth just in case any bad guys were coming while they were off planet.
And never had made Tommy, Kat, Rocky, Adam, and Tanya into Turbo Rangers? That would have been super cool, I think. When they switched out the whole cast mid-Turbo- that was weird.
@@craigpeoples9883 exactly that’s why when in Dino thunder Tommy was battling his past self he never fought turbo red and when he came back with the master morpher turbo wasn’t in it
Don't remember which MMPR channel mentioned it, but it seems like one of the main problems with the ZEO powers is that they can be negated underwater. In the Turbo movie, the pink ranger's morph gets cancelled when she hits the water. They had shot a scene that was deleted that showed the Green and Yellow rangers coming out of the water with torn morphsuits. The theory goes that if ZEO powers don't work underwater, and Divatox's base is a submarine, they would be less than helpful powers for this villain. ZEO may be super powerful, but that water weakness is a major Achilles Heel. So Zordon busts out the Turbo powers and Zords that work great in the water, they stick with those powers so they can continue to battle Divatox, and eventually the new Turbo team is brought out. They get the Turbo powers and the old ZEO team keeps their old ZEO powers, just in case. And per Zordon's advice, the Turbo team takes over protecting the Earth while the old rangers "retire" to live their young adult lives, coming back only when called on or needed.
They been in water before in rock a bye rangers" the blue and yellow ranger both jump into the river with cogs and nothing happens to the powers. In "where in the world us zeo ranger 5" they rangers are sprayed with water and nothing happens to them.
The theory about the Zeo powers slowly killing the Rangers makes lots of sense. Also the idea of Zordon Replacing the Zeo powers with Turbo powers for an emergency backup plan is great.
I like a theory I read in a fanfic, which was basically: since the Zeo powers keep growing, they were afraid of the "power corrupts " saying becoming true for them, so they ditched those for slightly weaker (but still good enough to do the job) powers. (I think another theory I read was, they needed speed this time, not power)
@@jasonw7476 The whole basis of the powers continuously growing is also a good point - how much power can a single person deal with, we know two power coins with the same connection to the grid was too much pink power for a single person to handle and would be dangerous (as seen when Kim went to the past). The zeo powers were used so often it may have been getting to that point where their bodies would start to reject the powers. There is also the theory that the Turbo powers were a refined (if lesser) form of Zeo power with a heavy focus on distributing the power through various other utilities as a saftey.
How does it make sense? That entire theory hinges on Jason having to give up his Gold Ranger powers. The only reason he had to is because they were made for Trey of TRIforia. Tri = 3. Trey was made of 3 separate essences. Tommy, Kat, Tanya, Rocky and Adam's powers had nothing to do with that and were meant to be used by normal humans. That theory is bunk as hell.
The only part I question is the backup team idea. Because if that was the case where in the name of g-d were the Zeo Rangers when Astronoma nearly conquered the Earth. Also Where were Tommy’s og White Ranger powers? To quote Zordon, “These powers were created from the White light of goodness and could NEVER be taken away by the forces of evil.” That also shoots the entire Drakkon arc in comics to hell.
It's funny, I always assumed that Zordon's comment of "These Zeo powers will get stronger over time" to mean they'd get stronger...up to a point. There's no reason to think they'd continue growing in strength forever. (Great video btw.)
I actually have my own theory that the zeo crystal was incorporated into the morphing grid to have all ranger powers grow over time while allowing for more flexibility going forward rather than being locked to zeo equipment. This is also my headcannon for why explosions get bigger and more frequent as the series continues and when we jumped forwards in time in SPD there were explosions all over the place.
I always thought that Zordon’s Rangers had to pass on the power to the next generation. When the Dinozords were destroyed, components from the Megazord were required to activate the Thunder Zords.
One theory I heard was that during the movie the Zeo Morphers themselves got waterlogged and couldn't function properly. Therefore, due to this, and Rocky being injured, the rangers had to use the back up powers, the Turbo Powers, that Zordon made with the help of Billy and Alpha. Interesting theory, but I like the "The Zeo Powers were killing them" theory better. However, we could combine the two and have the morphers getting waterlogged as Zordon taking the perfect opportunity to switch them over before it was too late. It would make a lot of sense in the end if this was the case.
Part of your theory is flawed because in Turbo, a Power Rangers Movie, we see the rangers making the Turbo powers and zords, and Billy is not there. Also, Zordon says the zords won't be powerful enough if Divatox succeeds in forming an alliance with Maligore. That right there should be canon enough. Zordon is over 10,000 years old, he knows what he's talking about! As for television, if we have an injured ranger, we need a new one, and the power rangers need to be a team, so we need new powers.
I’d always assumed that the Turbo powers were just more powerful in the moment. The Zeo crystals would eventually surpass them, but the rate of growth was just too slow to deal with the current threat. And so, they had to shift into Turbo. The speedier solution.
I assumed the Turbo Powers were simply made specifically for interdimensional travel to battle Maligore cause they had specific advanced technology but not necessarily stronger.
This is the most sensical theory. We all know the real reason is Sentai footage and naturally not extremely consistent writing in a kids show. I've always found the discussion silly, and people sticking onto the idea that zeo powers were "the most powerful". Yeah, they probably were at the time! The newest powers are always the strongest/most useful! It's fucking power rangers????
In soul of the dragon Tommy states it was 20 years since he used the zeo powers his master norpher was damaged and destroying his connection to the grid. A great send off of the character and some fan service given to boot. It is a great comic for those that grew up watching the show.
@@duburakiba it takes place in the future all future comics are questioned Canon. At best it ties alot of what we see I. Flash forward episodes from the show. Such as married to Kat and such. Personally I see as Canon and a great send off to Tommy.
@@duburakiba I can respect that but I think it is not out of question the morphers were damaged and fixed. The attack that damaged it also broke him physically remember. I would have liked jj to inherit that artifact but I can also see jj point of he has to make his place in the world outside of Tommy's shadow. The fact with each morph it destroyed another connection Tommy had to the grid is really good way to show that o ce he steps away he is gone for good this time. Like I say each his own I like what boom has done and it is an amazing world building they have expanded on. The characters are deeper and I even liked fingers expanded arcs. If you haven't read the lost chronically check them out. They have some good arcs and one shots.
Similar to the killing them slowly theory, my theory is that the zeo crystals as they grow stronger they also become unstable. Making it harder to control for the rangers both physically and mentally, thereby creating a risk that they might become evil down the line, and to prevent the strongest power from falling into the wrong hands they created the turbo powers out of a small piece of the crystal to make it a lot more manageable. Also allowing for the zeo powers to be used sparingly without the fear of corruption
Non-Power Ranger Related: I recently discovered this channel and saw it has ads. Won’t be skipping them to help the channel hopefully grow. I love the content about my childhood heroes! 😎
From what I remembered, the Power Chamber was not new. It's more likely the Power Chamber is older than the Command Center. Alpha said the Power Chamber was always there. Zordon said the Power Chamber was there as a backup in case the Command Center was ever under attack or destroyed. Which could mean the Power Chamber was built at the same time the Command Center was built or most likely before the Command Center was built. When buildings are built, the basement is always constructed first. Also, when Billy spied on Alpha when Alpha worked with Zordon to create the White Tiger Ranger (Billy found a secret door in the Command Center, containing a little room which allows you to look down into the Power Chamber). I believe Billy was looking down into the Power Chamber back on an episode in the second season when he saw the White Tiger Ranger laying on a stasis bed chamber (this is actually our first discovery of the Power Chamber and Billy was the first person to discover it).
I think I recall Billy mentioning that he recognised this place from blueprints for the "Next generation of Command Centre" when the team first see the Power Chamber.
I think I saw a theory somewhere that the "shelving" of the Zeo powers was a safety measure as they were starting to get too powerful. Can't remember if it went that they were potentially too dangerous for the rangers or for everything around them, or both, or if it was just "so powerful that even using them qualifies as escalation" but I've generally gone with that as a working theory
The very first thing that was said when they made the Turbo transformation was "I've never felt anything like this!" While I had always assumed that this referenced power level, the Zeo crystals being deadly, works flawlessly here, as the Turbo powers were designed to be more compatible with human physiology.
The problem with the powers “killing them” is that the Gold Ranger powers and the rest of the Zeo powers don’t come from the same source, at least not in Power Rangers.
I'm pretty sure they do, actually - the whole reason Billy was able to track/interested in tracking Pyramidas through space is that he discovered a signal precisely matching the energy signature of the Zeonizers. It seems like it's probably not the same Zeo Crystal powering Trey, but it also seems like it is *a* Zeo Crystal - just not the one hidden on the moon. I don't know that there's a ton of direct support for or against that idea in the show, but the comics timeline pretty definitely shows that Zeo Crystal structures exist elsewhere in the multiverse (Beyond The Grid's events are basically caused by the Morphin Masters sending an entire Zeo Crystal *PLANET* into another dimension in order to protect it, with the main timeline's Zeo Crystal just being a fragment from it). That said, I do agree it's a little weird to think that Trey's powerset is both human-compatible AND human-killing.
@@qloktheinvincible I believe it's more of a misconception brought on by some shotty writing. When Billy said the energy signature was a perfect match for their Zeo Crystals, he nor Zordon applied their readings to it being another Power Ranger. From their perspective, there aren't more than 10 active Rangers in the whole universe. 5 on Earth, 5 on Aquatar. At this point in time, the Zeo Crystals were converted into Ranger power. So what they were truly reading was the energy signature from another Power Ranger, and comparing it to the energy of the Zeo Crystals AFTER they were converted into Ranger power. Thus the assumption that it was another Zeo crystal, instead of just another Ranger. When the Gold ranger entered the solar system, It disrupted the robot empire's sensors, creating static. That never happened with the Rangers' Zeo Crystals, even when they were combined and powered up. When Billy tried to accept the Gold Ranger powers, it failed due to Billy's exposure to negative energy of the Power Chamber explosion. ALL the Rangers were exposed to that same energy as Billy, and it in no way prevented them from gaining the Zeo Crystals powers. See, not only does the Gold power not behave at all like the Zeo Crystals, they also never actually call the Gold power Zeo in any way.
@@Koolaccel Your answer is partially incorrect; Billy was the closest to an exploding panel (he had thrown himself over it), the others were not, and he absorbed all of the energy released from the panel which led to his body rejecting the Gold Zeo powers. This was shortly before Alpha teleported the six out in the conclusion of the Zeo Quest.
@@NintenGamer Unfortunately that really makes no sense. The command center was blowing all around them, not just on one console. And even if that were the case, the entire power chamber alone would radiate with that negative energy, like 100 times more than what Billy got, which would negate any Zeo crystals from working as intended as long as it were kept there.
@@NintenGamer billy more then likely couldn’t accept the gold powers cause of him being the only ranger to have been restored to normal in the alien rangers mini-series when the power coins were originally destroyed cause that did effect his aging in zeo when the changed out actors cause David yost had left the series cause of being fed up with the show persecution of him being gay and the gold powers was never referred to as zeo powers the gold ranger’s morpher could have been constructed similar to the rangers morpher even though we never saw trey or Jason use a morpher to morph into the gold ranger
What i understood back when Zeo first aired was that the zeo crystals actually grew more powerful the more they were used until they became too dangerous to use because they would be too much for a human body to handle. So Billy, Zordon, and Alpha were forced to develop the new Turbo powers for the rangers while the Zeo crystals were kept in hiding in a safe place for 100 yrs or more until they could 'cool off' and be used once again.
Also, the shape of the Zeo patterns correspond to their number. So Zeo Ranger 5 has 5 points on his helmet (a star). Zeo Ranger 4 has a square. Zeo Ranger 3 has a triangle. Zeo Ranger 2 has the ellipses. And Zeo Ranger 1 has a circle. The Gold Ranger, being the sixth Ranger, has 6 edges in his shape.
And each zeo ranger number Correspond numver of points on there helmets Zeo 5 star 5 point Zeo 4 rectangle 4 point Zeo 3 triangle 3 point Zeo 2 has 2 lines Zeo 1 has 1 line
I always felt like the Zeo Rangers were a very fitting evolution to the Rangers powers, and then I felt like Turbo and In Space kinda weakened the Rangers.
@@mr.awesome6011 agreed even though I prefer the older rangers. Def the best story. Im excited for the new more mature power rangers universe shows being created
The theory I've heard and stuck to is that the Zeo powers grow on an exponential curve. Through continued use they would simply grow faster than a human body could adapt to keep up, which is why the Zeo Rangers use that power only in dire situations after the initial series. This is why I also think Tommy eventually developed the Master Morpher, or at least one reason why. I think the Master Morpher sort of double filters the Zeo power by the use of the coins specifically for the Master Morpher. It just doesn't draw directly from the Zeo Crystal fragment like the Zeonizers did.
So from my understanding there was more to the Turbo movie that wasnt actually shown in the final product. Much how Cat was shown failing to Morph with her Zeo power in the fall into the water, another scene showed Adam with a basically destroyed suit after some form of battle but it was cut from the final product. The idea was supposed to show that the Zeo power was unusable by both Adam and Cat which required the activation of the Turbo Power. Another bit of the theory suggested that Billy was actually working on the Turbo power as a fall back just in case the Zeo power ever failed. It was supposed to explain his frequent disappearances (as well as offer false trails of him being the Gold Ranger) in the later parts of Zeo. However because of David Yost's sudden departure from the show, this had to be written out and could likely explain the lack of deeper explanation on the change to the Turbo power.
I really love your theory makes sense the vets were getting older so makes sense to move forward with a new power and a new team. And possibly being how leaving the original mighty morphing rangers with the power of zeo shows how much zordon trusted them and knew if the time should come the zeo rangers would step forward.
There's also the possibility that the Zeo powers get stronger over time by literally burning the life force of the wielder while active. That would explain why the Zeo Rangers were more hesitant to use them once they learned of that fact, but also why they were willing to do so in times of great need.
That's what im thinking while the Zeo crystals get stronger they may become more unstable and since they aren't meant for humans it begins to give them bad side effects for using the powers like a double edged sword which is why Zordon probably didn't tell the MMPR team about them right away in the first season and in Turbo gave them new powers that are weaker but are made to have 0 side effects back.
Loved the theory about the Zeo Powers killing them. It's not the first time in a super hero series that their powers or abilities could be killing them. That actually works very well. Thanks for the video. 😁
So, asking as someone who has only low level knowledge about the in's and out's of Ranger lore, is it possible the Turbo powers were made with or built on top of the Zeo powers? The same things, just with a diffrent coat of paint? Perhaps a different way to channel those energies, to better regulate them, instead of using the Zeo Crystal directly?
This was what I thought happened when I was a kid. I thought turbo was just the zeo powers being repurposed. The zeo powers were suppose to become more powerful over time so when they became more powerful they upgraded to turbo. But that theory ends because in Wild Force you see The zeo powers and turbo powers being used side by side at the same time
I think there's a bit of overthinking going on. It's simple, Zeonizers had limitations on where they can be used. In the Turbo movie, falling in water mid-Morph disrupted the morphing sequence. The Nemesis Triangle is in the middle of the ocean surrounded by a wall of magical stormy water that severed their connection to the power chamber. The Turbo morphers were based on Lerigot's wond, and were designed to pass through the Nemesis Triangle without issue. The Zeonizers likely just wouldn't work there. It may be a bit silly, but even their main enemy spent the whole Turbo season in a submarine under water. There's an obvious water pattern going on here. Why they didn't go back to the Zeo Crystals is merely because it was a time of peace for some time after the Turbo movie. There just wasn't any reason to go through another power transfer. Especially when the Turbo morphers were just more reliable, and are directly made to be used with their new Turbo Zords, which the Rangers designed them selves based on their own preference and needs. Turbo power is just better in a practical sense.
But Zeo Powers have been used in Water in the past... so that just doesn't make any sense. Maybe something to do with the "Magical Stormy Water" But im not buying the excuse that they just don't work in water.
@@the6thranger It makes no sense because it's a retcon. Remember in Season 3 when it showed that Kat was an expert in water sports, such as diving and swimming? In the Turbo movie she fell off a cliff and tried to morph out of fear of hitting the water and drowning, which she almost did untill Tommy dived in and basically accomplished what Kat should have been able to do on her own.
Love the video, thanks for making it. Two points though: One thing that wasn't mentioned was that when Tommy used the Zeo Powers in Soul of the Dragon, he basically curb-stomped an entire base full of baddies without breaking a sweat, really indicating that the Zeo powers really are the "big guns" and normally saved for emergencies. Another theory that wasn't covered was the "Scorpion Rain" idea where the Zeo Megazord was destroyed putting down Serpentera and stopping Zedd and Rita's "we're back!" plans. While the crystal wasn't destroyed like their morphers were when the Thunder megazord was destroyed, their powers were temporarily weakened and needed to be supplemented with the backup Turbo powers when the next emergency arose. By the time Forever red, the Zeo Crystal was back up to full power, and Tommy and Co had the full range of powers back at their disposal.
20+ years later I been doing a deep dive into PRU, , thank you for these videos! I think the rangers being unable to sustain the powers makes sense that they gave up the power to survive, but zordan never discloses this, could zordan be simliar to professor x, what he created he ultimately destroyed?
7:35(ish) I actually know the artist of this Zeo Ranger 5, Red art. He’s pretty chill. Made the piece a few years ago, but didn’t upload it to his insta account until recent times. I’ll link his insta in a future edit. I don’t know him beyond being an acquaintance, so I can’t think of his name atm
This was a great video! I recently rewatched everything up to the power transfer in turbo and was wondering just this. I know there is no “real” explanation other than franchise change, but it’s good to see there are semi logical theories of what happened. I would totally agree with the powers were too strong for human teens. Unstable hormones and bodies not necessarily at their physical and mental peak yet. I definitely would agree that the Turbo powers were a Billy idea. More suitable and stable powers with practical zords for traversing various terrains which I believe Zordon said in the movie are more powerful than any other zords previously designed. I like the idea that they are still holding onto them for an absolute last stand as we see many rangers who had been stripped of their powers can harness them for short bursts to help fellow newcomers even at the risk of physical damage to themselves which only strengthens the “zeo powers were slowly killing them” theory.
This is an awesome story to tell when you think about it , I’ve always loved the Zeo Rangers. The Gold Ranger and Pyramitus have to be in the top 2 most powerful ranger/zord combos out there .
I honestly hope that the (ZEO POWER RANGERS) gets remade someday. Now I can imagine a few scenarios on how (ZEO POWER RANGERS) could get reintroduced back into existence.
Man I'm glad I found this channel! I watched PR as a kid from MM through to Space. But never knew how deep the lore is! And also at 9:20.... ARE THEY FIGHTING THE BEETLEBORGS?!?!?!
the guy who plays the green ranger said in a deleted turbo movie scene, there is a throw away line that says zeo powers dont work under water. so when kat morphed her powers shortened out. since divatox is all about water, they needed new powers. HOWEVER, in 2 zeo eps, we see adam under water with his zord. sooooooooo i dont get it. well its either him or rocky.
Wasnt the coins made by ninjor? And the grid is universal and was explained in thr comics as having no time and transverses dimension and universes? It is called the universal morphin grid. Doubt the zeo crystals would be able to power something om that scale. I think beyond the grid, there were zeo crystals but that dimenion was cut off feom the grid and the zeo crystals that existed there were way larger... and it had no effect on the grid or power the grid that waa cut off.
I don't see a connection to the original power coins and if the crystal created the grid then you'd have a causality issue if you sent it back to create the grid... but i do like the idea of Zordon scattering the crystal again.
As a kid I was entranced with their design. Something so abstract about them really spoke to me. I wore my red plastic Zeo mask for way longer than I care to admit.
My theory is the gold power nearly killed Jason it was only a matter of time until the other powers did the same thing. Billy and Zordon created the turbopowers with Billy being the phantom ranger. Billy and Zordon would also go on to create the in space powers.
Billy was on Aquatar, Zordon left the following season to got to Eltar. The Phantom Ranger's power comes from Eltar. The Turbo powers and Zords were made during the Turbo movie, which Billy was not around for. I know it's a popular theory revolving around Billy, but it does not line up at all.
I always like theory-crafting like this.. although the whole "The Zeo powers will grow over time" was probably a throwaway line in the script, it does create some interesting dynamics in the logic of the series itself.
I also think in part it was due to the fact that the Zords and Megazords could only handle so much power. If the Zeo Crystal gets stronger as time passes, unless the Rangers can find a way to safely harness it, they would risk overloading the Zords and not just themselves.
Supposedly the Turbo move was suppose to show Divatox destroying the Zeo Zords giving the Rangers and Zordon the reason to switch to the Turbo powers. However because of budget reasons that part of the in movie was cut. There was also suppose to be a Power Rangers Hexagon after Wild Force, but the sale to Disney and budget reasons lead to it's cancelation. This season was suppose to tie up loose ends like who was the phantom ranger and Lokar's fate after Mighty Morphin.
Jason David Frank is a bit confused about that, too, but decided that the ZEO powers were most likely not waterproof and therefore destroyed by the water in the Turbo movie. They say that it would've made more sense if Billy had been in the movie, as was originally planned, but the plans changed and now no one knows the specifics.
I always thought that maybe some of the Zeo Crystal was used to create the New Turbo keys. Combining with the theory that the Zeo Powers were too strong, pieces of the sub crystals could’ve been used to create the keys. That way the Power was much more manageable in the Turbo, leaving the Zeo crystals stored some where for when they would need to be called again.
The comment dosnt explain what happened to the Zeo powers BUT it does remind us why they got swapped out for Turbo. Turbo was also meant to be interdimensional keys.... problem with the comments usefulness is that the Turbo powers are NEVER used this way again so ultimately still pointless.
8:25 with the Omega rangers in comics set as the real reason Jason Trini and Zack left the team, that's is a good possibility. And at least tomy was well aware of what happen to zordon the alpha 7 (the one appears with him in forever res ) was confirmed to be a reconstruction of alpha 5 made with the remaining parts of the original that was with zordon in the moment of his sacrifices.
I always thought the Zeo powers were turned into the Turbo Powers. In the Turbo moive the Zeo powers were ment to be destroyed but it was just for time. This explains why simple what could make them demorph. Zordon and Alpha saw this and started creating the Turbo powers off of the Zeo ones essentially fixing them. Then in the time between Turbo and Forever Red Tommy fixed his Zeo Powers then alittle after Once a Ranger the rest were fixed explaining why Adam choises to use the MMPR Powers in later crossovers before this point.
Considering the similarity (unique at the time) between the Zeo Morphers and Turbo Morphers, I used to assume the Zeo powers were just "upgraded" to the Turbo powers. Then Forever Red happened and made that an impossibility as Red Zeo and Red Turbo existed side-by-side. Now I go with basically a variant of the "it's killing them" theory, though maybe not as harsh, leading into the instability of the powers more than anything. All Ranger powers are tied to the wielder's lifeforce afterall; So having an unstable power isn't great if you don't want to run the risk of randomly falling unconcious (and demorphing) during the middle of a battle. Better not to take that chance and go with a weaker, more stable powerset.
the first thoery about the zeo power becoming the turbo powers could still work if TJs powers were tied into lightning cruiser like Justin's were to Storm Blaster during In Space
@@IamChunkyJ I guess that's true. It would explain how he still had them after Command Centre went boom, which is where the Turbo powers were hosted. But it doesn't really answer how Tommy would still have Zeo if that power was converted to Turbo though. So TJ got a new power source from Lightning Cruiser, but how would Tommy still have Zeo if that power was converted to the power that was destroyed at the end of Turbo? Just makes more sense to assume they are completely separate things at this point. And of course then there's the Megaforce Legendary Battle (which is full of gross inconsistencies "Welcome back Robo Knight!"). I guess enough time passed by that point that they could have all been rebuilt individually from the ground up I suppose though.
@@KotCR Remember the Turbo Powers were hosted from Eltar. If you recall they only demorphed after Eltar was completely taken not right when the Chamber exploded.
My theory was that (pretty much everything you mentioned LOL) since the powers get stronger over time; it begins to take a negative toll on the rangers and can only be used sparingly. Although (if I’m not mistaken) it was explained that the rangers needed the turbo powers because they were going to be stronger than the zeo powers which hinders the theory. However, that can be explained as yes, the turbo powers were stronger at that moment when they were first created but, wouldn’t continue to grow in power (harming the rangers) which made them stronger at the time and more stable. Awesome vid and I think its really cool that the theory adds up XD and I like the idea that you and others have mentioned in which the “ human physiology” has something to do with the harm of the rangers.
i believe i saw somewhere that the original idea was that water weakened the zeonisers, such as Cats fall into water stopped the morph and the actor who played Adam said there was a scene in an early draft when Adam and Tanya suits were damaged after an underwater fight with Divatoxs minions and using Lerigot's magic and all the ranger equipment they had at their deposal they were able to create new ranger powers to get through the magical barriers to fight Maligore but also withstand the unforeseen weakness with the zeonisers.
@@dissident_media no they dont water doesnt affect the rangers one of kats morphers wasent on her wrist properly so could of quite easily been knocked off when she fell in the water which would have stoped the morph because the zeonizers were disconnected from each other mid morph
Wow this video was incredible! You guys at the Sixth Ranger Channel brought up some great information on the Zeo powers. I think the Zeo season of Power Rangers was a great one, because Katherine grew as a ranger and wasn't just shown as a replacement.A few other reason why I Zeo was a great season was because of the Machine Empire and the zords. However this video made me really think and I do agree with your opinion about Zordon creating a back up team. Your opinion just makes sense and hearing all those different theories was so cool.
You are over thinking the entire series.... they just wanted to sell new toys :D there is no deep backround in the entire series :D except the new comic versions that they are actually building a story !
theory i have ever seen and the one that makes the most sense is the Zeo powers were Growing to strong Tenets of a Ranger 1. You must never use your powers for personal gain. 2. You must never escalate a fight, unless your enemy forces you to. (this one) 3. You must never reveal your identity By the end of Zeo Zords were obsolete they could grow giant they were that strong and they would be breaking 1 of the core rules of being a ranger Never escalate a fight. so they used a minimum amount of power from the Zeo crystals to create the Turbo rangers each Zeo ranger still has there Zeo powers but to use them may corrupt the Grid and the morphers themselves may be locked away it would explain why adam was able to use his busted morpher and it not kill him the zeo crystal protected him it would also explain the master morpher by splinting the power of the crystal into 5 different ranger modes Green, White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red (even though they didn't show it we can assume he has it), Dino Black they could safely use the zeo crystals power could have been a joint effort of Billy, ninjor and Hayley
If you have seen the original Super Sentai Show called Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, the Chouriki power requires an incredible amount of stamina, the first time the four recruits morphed, fought and I then ummorphed, they were all dripping with sweat and exausted, also, there was no Zeo Crystal, they all got there power from an ancient pyramid and other giant structures, the red ranger or Ohred who recruited them told them that it was the same for him at first.
@@mauricemoberly460 You deserve to be slapped for that comment. Turbo is basically what ruined Power Rangers and killed the franchise adding a little kid to be the blue ranger and making the best Power Ranger of all time Tommy leave the series because of it, and your saying you liked Turbo better? Get the fuck out of here.
I got the impression in The Turbo Movie that they used the Power the Zeo Crystal contained to design and create the Turbo Powers. sort of a new source to tap into the morphing Grid with.
I remember watching some interviews about the Turbo movie. Johnny Young Bosch (Adam) said there was meant to be a scene with Kat after her fall into the river. It was supposed to show that her Zeo powers were destroyed in the river... for some reason 🤷♂️ even he thought it was ridiculous, but that was supposed to be the reason for the switch. There supposedly going to be a scene Kat coming out of the river with the Zeo suit all damaged & messed up, but they ended up never filming it that way. I definitely like the idea that they reserve the powers for emergencies much better.
@@Tim.Stotelmeyer I remember her morphing during the fall, and then as she hits the water, she gets demorphed. I don’t remember any sort of in-film explanation, lost Morpher or otherwise, but I could be wrong.
Seeing as we ended up getting Gosei years later, the long game theory makes a lot of sense. Though I always figured they used a small part of it to make the turbo powers, then kept them locked away. I never bought the whole the Zeo powers are killing them, while the gold powers weren't a match for Jason, the Zeo powers were a match for the rangers. The inhabitants of the M51 galaxy, surely knew what planet they were near, and that should the powers be needed, they could bond to any lifeform that can swipe them. Something akin to Thor's hammer, where only those that are worthy can possess the powers. Plus since the morphin grid flows within everything, it would stand to reason that the powers would draw strength from the surrounds, and slowly aculmate the hosts to use the powers at full strength without any side effects. A prime example would be how tommy got a curb stomping from mondo early in the season, and then returned the favor at the end of the season. Plus it could also stand to reason that, the Zeo powers would boost the other powers of the rangers like the mighty morphin powers for the older rangers, thus allowing them to hold their own with stronger enemies down the way. Like how Adam held off the monster during in space, and later in operation overdrive. The powers could've easily become one with the rangers and continue to strengthen them as time goes on.
the "stronger as time goes on" theory ties in with the "killing the rangers" one is the best bet. Perhaps the reason why they had to stop using Zeo powers(at least on the regular) is because the increase in strength over time may actually make them slightly unstable and may accelerate what happened to Jason. It is established that Trey had the gold powers much longer and they were likely in use for much longer, and the switch to turbo was because the Turbo powers were just more stable and without the downside of slowly killing the user. so, perhaps the gold powers were just way more unstable from prolonged use. zordon had the "do not escalate the fight" with the original powers because it strained their connection grid. That's why the thunderzords blew up as it overloaded with their battle against Rito. Perhaps the zeo power had a similar drawback where the more power they used, the greater the risk it was to the ranger's health, and they switched the turbo powers because they had safeguards built into those powers to prevent that from happening.
Which is why when the Megazords in Turbo were destroyed, the Rangers were still fully morphed and could still use them and when the Power Chamber blew up (and their power with it) the Rangers survived and weren't killed by the sudden strain of power to protect them.
In the oRanger Sentai which is with zeo adapted killing them can make sense because after the battles and oranger it looks like being a ranger was hard on the body cuz they're sweaty or out of breath after the first battle they're dropping to their knees and clutching their chest
Definitely think it was because the turbo was good in that ome situation, but since rocky was hurt they stayed on turbo. Then by the time he recovered they passed the trubo powers on the the b squad.
I think it might be a combo of the first theory and your theory, the powers were slowly killing them while at the same time Zordon also wanted a backup team just in case something happened. The only thing is as I get older the power is no longer affect them as much cuz they're not transforming anymore, but the powers are still a part of them so they are circulating through their body still. So as they get older the Powers become less lethal I want to say to them, but they still can become lethal if they use them too much so they only use them sparingly.
He'd die from having both. The gold zeo powers alone were killing him since they were not made for human physiology. Having mm red and zeo gold... he likely be dead or weakened before a drakkon fight.
I'm still in love with the Zeo costumes, gears and arsenals, but I've never believed to the story of an uncontrollable power behind it. That was writers fault, because fans now will still questioning the abilities of the others teams before and after Zeo. Producers needed 'to sell' the new season, that's it.
TO THIS DAY MY FAVORITE POWER RANGERS AESTHETIC WISE! Suits and helmets were just so badass! Idk why but as a kid I just reallytook a liking to these immediately after seeing them. Glad to see a video on them!
I remember in *Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie* that Zordon mentioned the Zeo powers wouldn't be strong enough to defeat Divatox and Maligore's alliance, but it was never explained why. My guess is that Maligore was much older than the Zeo Crystal and its power. And I heard rumors before the events of *Turbo* that the Zeo powers would be upgraded into the Turbo powers via Aquitian technology from Aquitar with Billy's help along with some Aquitian scientists.
Good theory! Thanks so much! I really appreciate it 😊⚡
That would make a lot of sense
Teenage bodies lol, dont make me laugh. You are onto something though, I wouldn't say its based on if their bodies are grown or not but the fact that the ZEO crystals could've been too powerful for their human bodies. Whether its stress etc. Its like Kaioken from dragon ball, it has its downsides otherwise its too op.
I like this idea. Some extra fodder for this theory is that once Jason becomes the gold ranger he later has to return the powers back to the original gold ranger due to the effects the powers were having on his body. I don't remember the exact details

@ET Hardcorgamer I started to watch Super Sentai when Jetix took over. So in my opinion start from Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. All the seasons from there have amazing and well rounded stories. Or they were just turning gay.
Boom Comics already kind of told the story of the Psycho rangers tho.
What happened.....not enough Super Sentai footage cause they went on to the next show.
Correct...also missed an opportunity to do a crossover episode which could have explained what happened to the zeo powers.
They've all got too many incongruous elements to fit, whereas PR has mostly not tried to step on each entry's boots, and later entries at least try to
The number of continuity hiccups PR has in its shared universe can be counted on one hand, two hands if you really gotta be nitpicky.

@@chrismills8644In the comics the turbo powers are in the master morpher for some reason
Great analysis!
This is honestly my favorite theory
This is the best theory
They been in water before in rock a bye rangers" the blue and yellow ranger both jump into the river with cogs and nothing happens to the powers. In "where in the world us zeo ranger 5" they rangers are sprayed with water and nothing happens to them.
The reason kat demorph when she hit the water is because she was finished morphing and the water impact canceled out the morph.
@@joshstephens413 thank you
The only part I question is the backup team idea.
It would make a lot of sense in the end if this was the case.
smiple answer power crorrupts

Similar to the killing them slowly theory, my theory is that the zeo crystals as they grow stronger they also become unstable. Making it harder to control for the rangers both physically and mentally, thereby creating a risk that they might become evil down the line, and to prevent the strongest power from falling into the wrong hands they created the turbo powers out of a small piece of the crystal to make it a lot more manageable. Also allowing for the zeo powers to be used sparingly without the fear of corruption

Yeah I think Billy finding the power chamber there makes sense. I figured that was the same room too after watching zeo over again
I think I recall Billy mentioning that he recognised this place from blueprints for the "Next generation of Command Centre" when the team first see the Power Chamber.
@@matthewphoenix6372 I remembered Billy saying that as well!
The very first thing that was said when they made the Turbo transformation was "I've never felt anything like this!"
While I had always assumed that this referenced power level, the Zeo crystals being deadly, works flawlessly here, as the Turbo powers were designed to be more compatible with human physiology.
Great theories. Especially about their life force being drained, and Zeo powers being the big guns. Love it
The problem with the powers “killing them” is that the Gold Ranger powers and the rest of the Zeo powers don’t come from the same source, at least not in Power Rangers.
Billy wasnt around for turbo he was on aquitar
I never realised until now, that the shape of the zeo crystal each ranger collected corresponded to their respective zeo helmet patterns. Nice detail
Yeah, it's nice until you realize Tanya has a horizontal bar going right across her field of vision...
@@IAMTHESTARMAN I’ve always considered Tanya’s symbol to be an equal sign. lol.

And each zeo ranger number Correspond numver of points on there helmets
Zeo 5 star 5 point
Zeo 4 rectangle 4 point
Zeo 3 triangle 3 point
Zeo 2 has 2 lines
Zeo 1 has 1 line
I always felt like the Zeo Rangers were a very fitting evolution to the Rangers powers, and then I felt like Turbo and In Space kinda weakened the Rangers.
In Space was arguably the best version of Power Rangers and went out on such a high note
@@mr.awesome6011 agreed even though I prefer the older rangers. Def the best story. Im excited for the new more mature power rangers universe shows being created
@@judgejudyx927 what mature show?
@@markcruz359 I want to know this, too. Hadn't heard of any mature shows. Would love some.
@@BoogerLeader Power Rangers RPM was probably the closest to mature
MMPR will always be iconic. But in my opinion, Zeo looks the best. There’s something very alien about their presence.
The first theory of the Zeo powers killing the Rangers at a slower rate makes way more sense. That was something I've wondered for a longtime.
Glad you liked it 😊⚡
So, asking as someone who has only low level knowledge about the in's and out's of Ranger lore, is it possible the Turbo powers were made with or built on top of the Zeo powers? The same things, just with a diffrent coat of paint? Perhaps a different way to channel those energies, to better regulate them, instead of using the Zeo Crystal directly?
This was what I thought happened when I was a kid. I thought turbo was just the zeo powers being repurposed. The zeo powers were suppose to become more powerful over time so when they became more powerful they upgraded to turbo. But that theory ends because in Wild Force you see The zeo powers and turbo powers being used side by side at the same time
Them being Sleeper Rangers is my favorite theory. They were most likely fighting as Zeo during the countdown to destruction
Two points though:
One thing that wasn't mentioned was that when Tommy used the Zeo Powers in Soul of the Dragon, he basically curb-stomped an entire base full of baddies without breaking a sweat, really indicating that the Zeo powers really are the "big guns" and normally saved for emergencies.
Answer is very simple: lack of Sentai footage = too high costs to use Zeo team in a season based on a Sentai material that Turbo was based on

I actually know the artist of this Zeo Ranger 5, Red art. He’s pretty chill. Made the piece a few years ago, but didn’t upload it to his insta account until recent times.
I’ll link his insta in a future edit. I don’t know him beyond being an acquaintance, so I can’t think of his name atm
There’s also a theory that the zeo crystal was affected by water.
I see what you did there.
Lmfaoooo
That "zeo crystals were killing the ranger so they switched theory." is way older than reddit lol.
Theory: The rangers kept them but wanted some fly ass cars and trucks to drive to outrun smokey.
In my own headcanon. I always assumed that the Zeo powers just got a Turbo Charge.
the guy who plays the green ranger said in a deleted turbo movie scene, there is a throw away line that says zeo powers dont work under water. so when kat morphed her powers shortened out. since divatox is all about water, they needed new powers. HOWEVER, in 2 zeo eps, we see adam under water with his zord. sooooooooo i dont get it. well its either him or rocky.
here's my theory. Zordon sent the Zeo Crystal back in time to create the original Power Coins and fuel the Morphing Grid in the first place.
Thats an interesting theory. Shockingly never heard this win.
I like that theory, consider the Zeo Powers suppose to continuously grow stronger it make sense to use them as the "power source"
@@tmmlk Yeah. Ninjor made the power coins. The White Tiger Ranger was the only power coin Ranger Zordon made.
They say that it would've made more sense if Billy had been in the movie, as was originally planned, but the plans changed and now no one knows the specifics.
>is one of the most powerful power sources in the universe , capable of defeating entire evil universes
>isn't waterproof
@@kinjalbiswas6574 that's JDF's theory…
I always thought that maybe some of the Zeo Crystal was used to create the New Turbo keys. Combining with the theory that the Zeo Powers were too strong, pieces of the sub crystals could’ve been used to create the keys. That way the Power was much more manageable in the Turbo, leaving the Zeo crystals stored some where for when they would need to be called again.
It was explained in the movie that the Turbo powers were needed to get the Rangers wherever they were going. At least that's how I remember it...
You do realize that your answer does not say anything about what happened to the Zeo Powers right?? It's like you completely avoided the question.
Not even a power rangers fan... Your videos are just that good man 😅
😂😂😂⚡⚡⚡
They ran out of Sentai stock footage is what happened. Lol, that's why Zordon be like, "here's your new keys and zords."
i believe i saw somewhere that the original idea was that water weakened the zeonisers, such as Cats fall into water stopped the morph and the actor who played Adam said there was a scene in an early draft when Adam and Tanya suits were damaged after an underwater fight with Divatoxs minions and using Lerigot's magic and all the ranger equipment they had at their deposal they were able to create new ranger powers to get through the magical barriers to fight Maligore but also withstand the unforeseen weakness with the zeonisers.

You are over thinking the entire series.... they just wanted to sell new toys :D there is no deep backround in the entire series :D except the new comic versions that they are actually building a story !
Well no shit
theory i have ever seen and the one that makes the most sense is the Zeo powers were Growing to strong
Tenets of a Ranger
1. You must never use your powers for personal gain.
2. You must never escalate a fight, unless your enemy forces you to. (this one)
3. You must never reveal your identity
By the end of Zeo Zords were obsolete they could grow giant they were that strong and they would be breaking 1 of the core rules of being a ranger Never escalate a fight. so they used a minimum amount of power from the Zeo crystals to create the Turbo rangers each Zeo ranger still has there Zeo powers but to use them may corrupt the Grid and the morphers themselves may be locked away
it would explain why adam was able to use his busted morpher and it not kill him the zeo crystal protected him
it would also explain the master morpher by splinting the power of the crystal into 5 different ranger modes Green, White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red (even though they didn't show it we can assume he has it), Dino Black they could safely use the zeo crystals power could have been a joint effort of Billy, ninjor and Hayley
Zeo til this day has the best designs hands down.

As a kid I chalked it up to the Zeo power evolving and being turned into turbo power due to the "always growing stronger nature" of the zeo crystals.
I got the impression in The Turbo Movie that they used the Power the Zeo Crystal contained to design and create the Turbo Powers. sort of a new source to tap into the morphing Grid with.
@@surge21xx yup the movie is where I got this theory of mine haha
I remember watching some interviews about the Turbo movie. Johnny Young Bosch (Adam) said there was meant to be a scene with Kat after her fall into the river. It was supposed to show that her Zeo powers were destroyed in the river... for some reason 🤷♂️ even he thought it was ridiculous, but that was supposed to be the reason for the switch. There supposedly going to be a scene Kat coming out of the river with the Zeo suit all damaged & messed up, but they ended up never filming it that way. I definitely like the idea that they reserve the powers for emergencies much better.
I need to rewatch the movie but if I remember correctly Kat lost her zeo morpher in the river.
@@Tim.Stotelmeyer I remember her morphing during the fall, and then as she hits the water, she gets demorphed. I don’t remember any sort of in-film explanation, lost Morpher or otherwise, but I could be wrong.
What happened to the Zeo powers? They ran out of Sentai footage!
They needed new costumes for the rangers to be able to sell more toys
the "stronger as time goes on" theory ties in with the "killing the rangers" one is the best bet.
My theory was always that the Turbo powers were an upgraded version of their Zeo Power.
Same. Even as a kid, I assumed the cars were powered by the Zeo crystals.
But the super zeo zord was the dopest
I always thought that
In the oRanger Sentai which is with zeo adapted killing them can make sense because after the battles and oranger it looks like being a ranger was hard on the body cuz they're sweaty or out of breath after the first battle they're dropping to their knees and clutching their chest
Answer is simple: toys
Definitely think it was because the turbo was good in that ome situation, but since rocky was hurt they stayed on turbo. Then by the time he recovered they passed the trubo powers on the the b squad.
Honestly i always thought alpha, billy, and zordon converted the zeo powers and zords to the turbo line up
Same because the zeo powers were ment to be destroyed in the Turbo moive
I think it might be a combo of the first theory and your theory, the powers were slowly killing them while at the same time Zordon also wanted a backup team just in case something happened. The only thing is as I get older the power is no longer affect them as much cuz they're not transforming anymore, but the powers are still a part of them so they are circulating through their body still. So as they get older the Powers become less lethal I want to say to them, but they still can become lethal if they use them too much so they only use them sparingly.
Who would win drakkon with the green and white powers vs Jason with the red and gold powers.
Jason
Red and gold powers I say
Jason
Jason.
He never ever gives up.
He'd tap into some unforeseen power through the morphin grid
He'd die from having both. The gold zeo powers alone were killing him since they were not made for human physiology. Having mm red and zeo gold... he likely be dead or weakened before a drakkon fight.
I'm still in love with the Zeo costumes, gears and arsenals, but I've never believed to the story of an uncontrollable power behind it. That was writers fault, because fans now will still questioning the abilities of the others teams before and after Zeo. Producers needed 'to sell' the new season, that's it.
Wish there was a white Zeo or Silver Zeo
I definitely agree with your theory. It makes an awful lot of sense and to be honest, I never thought about any of this that way! A real eye opener
The Turbo crap was such a letdown after the Zeo season.
TO THIS DAY MY FAVORITE POWER RANGERS AESTHETIC WISE! Suits and helmets were just so badass! Idk why but as a kid I just reallytook a liking to these immediately after seeing them. Glad to see a video on them!
The real reason: “there’s a simple explanation for that”.
😂
The theory that the Zeo powers were killing the rangers is really interesting
I think he gave them to Gold Ranger after the machine empire was beaten.
I reckon Zordon was dying and knew it so when the chance came to destroy all the baddies absorbed the zeo power to do just that!
Ooooo. I like that
are you talking about the zordon purification wave thing? I'm not too knowledgeable sorry if wrong. but that's a cool theory
Could you do a “where are they now” theory video? Like where are all the rangers from the generations and what they are or possibly doing now
