@@MR_GTI_TCR there's a setting in the options for corpses if you want them to stay or not. But I think the game will remove corpses if it could affect the performance.
Shooting weapons out of hands and the air as well as knifeing them out of the air, eggs for healing and throwing, different movement when low health, the ladders and unique death animations where all in the original as well.
Another detail when Leon has a very low health and is going to die, if you consult the inventory, it will be pulsing to the rythme of the blood effusions on screen
Lots of other videos have noted his Sam Fisher and John Wick pistol pose when he is within a few inches of the enemy in front of him. He also holds his right wrist with his left hand during knife pose. I don't know anything about knife fighting but it looks tactical.
If I recall correctly, the left hand holding the right during knife fighting makes it so Leon has more strength behind his guard. It’s like two handing a sword except you have no room for the other hand. Not as effective but still helps

90% was in the original game almost 20 years ago. It just has better graphics now. This still looks amazing but I think its really just proving why the original was so amazing. Probably also one of the first games where shooting an enemy in different areas of the body had different effects.
And most of the new stuff was in RE2R. The gore system was toned down in RE3R. I assume to optimize the game better. Things like holstering weapons when using another were in both other remakes. Something a lot of people didn't notice is if you unequip the pistol in all three of the newest remakes the character puts them in their holster. When you press the equip hotkey they even draw from the holster.
@@TheDalisama Does not work with the pistol when no enemy is around though. Leon draws only when enemies are nearby when you press the hotkey. Only way to always draw the pistol is aiming but that looks bad because the handgun instantly spawns in his hands without an actual drawing animation.
Hmm I wouldn't say it was the first game "where shooting an enemy in different areas of the body had different effects." Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Soldier of Fortune? I could name a few more that came before RE4.
Ragdolls can actually block you as well, during my gameplay the cow died back in the pathway of the shack in a way that it blocked me from passing through which ended up me getting cornered by dr salvador.

It’s nothing new. In the original re2 released in 1998 you can actually blow off arms with the handgun and with the shotgun can blow off arms, legs, heads and even cut them in half. It was even further expanded in the Re2 remake released in 2019 with very detailed and specific skin and bone breakage with gunshots and the knife. It’s nice to see they’re sticking with the Re2R dismemberment system because it was heavily downgraded in Re3R.
They really went out on this remake, not surprised tho, RE 4 Issa golden boy from capcom, this remake is a life or death of capcom, they can't fucked this one. Good job capcom
The sway part is similar to how re4 original play like, that is why some weapon has stock to enhance the stability of the crosshair (lasersight in original re4)
3 things, which I know doesn't really matter in the grand scheme, but me being me, I can't help point out: 1. The arm finch when pulling the trigger. In real life, if you flinch your arm when pulling the trigger, you will miss every shot. 2. That type of holster is specifically made for guns with a flashlight attachment. Its just kind of odd that he would use that holster when he uses an actual flashlight instead 3. The gun sway, sure when moving you can't help it, but standing still anyone with gun training will stand perfectly still because like in point 1, you will miss.
I once threw a grenade and it collided with an axe that was thrown towards me, both fell on the spot and it exploded not hurting anyone, I had to stop to laugh. I didn't even meant for it, I was throwing the grenade and mid way I saw the axe comming from a window.
When I was messing around with the PC settings there was something for corpses apparently the bodies don't melt into nothing so by default my PC had this on high. So I guess the bodies will just rot now
Actually leons pistol sway is a result from his alcoholism as it was in the original re4. I dont think a trained policeman i supposed to sway that much.

Has anyone noticed that the knife doesn't interact with nothing of the enviroment if the object is not breakable. In the last two remakes you can see the sparks, the smoke, the marks in the ground etc when you stab the knike with something, but in this demo all of this doesn't happen. I repeat: if a barrel is "breakable" you can see the smoke etc when you hit it with the knife, but only in this case, with the breakable objects!!! It s very weird!!!
I just hope thy fix Leon's facial animations whenever hes attacked or killed in the final product,cause thy look like a step-down from 2R,other than tht I have no complaints at all,can't wait for this game to come ! 😁

There is a decapitation scene. Kinda hard to get. Must be low health, and a ganado has to hold u in place. While he’s holding u in place, another ganado with an axe has to land the finishing blow on you and a cutscene will play where he hacks at your neck once and then the second slice decapitates you.

I don’t want to bs this remake. I believe it is a remake well done. My impression is that I disliked that the devs did not added a decapitation sequence with Dr. Salvador like in the original. Is a so iconic one death strike that stood with most players back in 2004. Now is just a stab in the chest like in the Texas chainsaw massacre. It doesn’t feel as gruesome as in the original. The only I liked is that Leon gets sliced in half. That’s very shocking.

The engraving in Leon's pistol is actually done by Joseph Kendo, the brother of Robert, Kendo, who was outside Racoon city during the events of RE2.

@@vowish5319 no my lad. I meant that DR. Salvador should have a decapitation death sequence like in the OG original. Nowadays devs don’t respect key things that made their originals stay with you. I don’t want to bs this remake. I believe it is a remake well done. My impression is that I disliked that the devs did not added a decapitation sequence with Dr. Salvador like in the original. Is a so iconic one death strike that stood with most players back in 2004. Now is just a stab in the chest like in the Texas chainsaw massacre. It doesn’t feel as gruesome as in the original. The only I liked is that Leon gets sliced in half. That’s very shocking.

this is what happens when you take your time and passion to develop a game, not like that half ass RE3 team who messed up everything.
Most of these details aint new for resi or re4 og tho, its the same amount of details like the previous games by capcom, yk, a competent game studio?
