I love how people are starting to understand Chinese dramas. Many often stay away because there’s too many episodes, but once you start watching, you will understand why even 60 episodes are not enough!
It also depends on how good the story plot is. If the plot is good then 100 episodes or more are not a problem. If the plot is so-so, then yes, better end it before it gets boring.
I'm scolding myself for being late to this fandom... The Untamed was not just a drama... It was a ride through the life... A whole package of emotions. I don't remember the last time I felt so roller coastered over a drama. I am 5 years late in knowing The Untamed, but I will definitely cherish this drama for my entire life! Love you WangXian❤

This drama wasn't just any other drama. It was an entire journey. The emotions that I felt while watching and now that I am done, I just feel really empty. I miss this.

I know, I literally just found this drama/story two days ago... and then I finished watching it in two days only, lol. I've only known The Untamed for two days, but holy moly, this story is so damn beautiful! I feel very heartbroken/empty that I finished the drama so quickly... Guys, i just cannot even express how great the drama is.... Not only the drama also the chemistry between main leads is so pure and lovable.. And Other characters acting was so great.. like Wen Ning, Jheng cheng, Yangli, Xue yang, Wen qing, Yuan, brother of lan zhan and so on. Specially the acting of Wei Wuxian's is another level. So so so so so so good..... After watching this masterpiece i cant even move on. This drama will be always the best drama to me. No matter how many times you watch this drama you will never get bored.. You will love to watch it even more.. Once you watch it for the first time, you will never like any other dramas again.... This is so gooooood.....😭😭I love this drama alot.....
This drama never gets old. The emotions are so well portrayed. The actors are all so talented. Another thing that is amazing is the soundtrack and their voices.
They never hugged or even held hands but I felt the need and longing between the main leads.They both did incredible especially Yibo cos it’s not easy having a straight face most of the time for this drama.Xian was hilarious 😂

I’ve watched so many straight dramas which have heated make-out sessions. This drama doesn’t have any kisses, or any intimacy because of Chinese censorship, but Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian’s relationship tops it all. There’s something so genuine about their relationship, it just makes you wanna actually cry.
There were many times I cried over this show and I still haven't finished it. Someone ruined the ending for me and I refuse to finish the series. If I don't watch the ending, it never ends. Lol
@@gummynoodles9036 umm did we read the same novel? There’s quite a bit of scenes plus things get steamy at the end. but be mindful that genre isn’t only romance, the story has a bigger picture then just the relationships between the main couple.

If anyone wants to know what love is. Love is when Lan Wangji suffered 33 whips and 3 years of punishment for Wei Ying. (Need I remind you that they were discipline whips, one whose scar would remain forever) Love is when even though the world was against Wei Ying, only Lan Zhan stood by his side. Love is when the most righteous and disciplined role model Lan Zhan broke the 3000 rules of Lan Clan without any hesitation for Wei Ying. Love is when Lan Zhan always shields Wei Ying with his sword before the enemy can get to him. Love is when he made a song for Wei Ying and named it "Wangxian" Love is when he branded himself with Wen Clan's sun symbol just because Wei Ying had the same mark in his body. Love is when Lan Zhan played inquiry aimlessly for years just trying to find a piece of Wei Ying's soul to know if he is fine. (BTW I read somewhere that Lan Zhan was playing inquiry not to bring Wei Ying back because he knew that the world was too cruel to him, but he just wanted to ask him if he was fine now after his death :( Love is when Lan Zhan waited for 16 fucking years for Wei Ying :( Now Imma go back to cry😭😭😭 Edit: Glad that I am not the only one crying.

I’m going to assume that you’ve finished the series: After these Wens turn themselves in (at least in The Untamed? Forgot what happens in donghua), A-Yuan is left behind in the Burial Mounds, which is where Lan Zhan finds him and raises him in Gusu Lan to be Lan Yuan/Lan Sizhui (who you meet at the very beginning in Mo Village)
I usually got tired of watching cdrama or kdrama that has over 30 episodes, but the heck 50 episodes for the untamed? Why so little? I want more of the drama. Even if it reaches 100 episodes i wont get tired of it. I miss them 😭

Fully agreed...we all know re Lan Zhan and Yanli but I must hand it to you re Wen Ning :) I used to refer to him as my sweet boy...he was too sweet and I felt really bad what happened to him, but glad that Wei Ying had his back and he never let Wei Ying down...I felt really bad too for Wei Ying when all the lies and rumours went around about him...he had the sweetest spirit and personality

Most “popular” dramas generally have you bored at certain episodes, have a happy ending, and people usually are hyped at the first few episodes then it ends. And not to mention, they don’t give you the nostalgia whenever you rewatch it. This drama, keeps me entertained every episode and hyped. The ending is absolutely beautiful, as it depends on how the person watching it interprets it. Either Lan Zhan came back, or it was WuXian’s own mind. But nevertheless, I get the sense of nostalgia every time I watch it, and a sense of hiraeth. I love this drama so much, it will always have a place in my heart
Actually Lan Zhan and Wei ying met indeed. And this is bc the dress Wei Ying wore at the end was the same as the dress he wore in the scenes where he met Nie Huisang, which depicts that they continued to travel together and the rest of the story continued as in the novel

I don't think it was his mind. When he turns around it's clear by the way his smile was given. He used to smile to Lan Zhan that way. He definitely sees somebody. I just think the show should've worked on making it clearer despite the censorship. Lan Zhan is not the type of person that would walk a different path from his beloved one. He didn't looked for him for 16 years to find him and let him go. There many hints they stay together, buy it depends on everyone's perspective.
We are doomed in this series forever because I myself can't even move on. This drama never gets old, it feels like it all happened yesterday. The casting directors of The Untamed seriously did a superb job finding two talented lead actors who also had outstanding chemistry together on screen. It's also worth noting that "The Untamed" includes one of the best supporting casts, each with their own story.

Omg wherever I go, I always think of this. When I’m bored in class, my brain plays this song. When I’m in the shower, my brain also plays this song. Then I think about all the sad things and start weeping in class and my classmate beside will be like “tf am I sitting beside a psychopath?”

These were the 5 phases I went through after watching The Untamed: 1st phase: I rewatched the entire cdrama, novel, audio drama, and manhua and cried the entire time 2nd phase: I listened to the full OST on loop and sobbed while watching every edit of The Untamed ever made on UA-cam. 3rd: phase: Watched every bts, fan meetings, anything related to The Untamed and also ended up stanning Uniq and Xnine. 4th phase: Tried to move on and accept that there won’t be a S2. 5th phase: Realizes I won’t be able to move on and ends up back in Phase one. As a chinese, I can tell you that we still prefer writting a beautiful letter/ poem to express our hided feelings to each other nowadays, sometimes, kissing/hugging/sexing is boring. People need to communicate their souls.

For all YiZhan fans, this song is not just a song, it is a diary full of memories- some sweet enough to make us laugh and cheer, some so sorrowful it brings pain in our chests. 😭 This drama has ruined and made my life. I do not care what anyone thinks, for me, Untamed will always remain the biggest legendary drama. It's painful to recall what happened post the drama's success, but I will just believe that YZ will continue "sharing the same melody wherever they are."

I watched this series two weeks ago and since then I couldn't even watch another series. tbh this is the very first historical drama that I've ever seen, and maybe that's why it left so much impression on me. reading the comment section here and on the another video related to this series, I think it's safe to say that 'the untamed' will be another 'harry potter'. maybe the series has ended a long time ago, but time after time the fandom will keep alive and bigger until God-knows-when, the memories remains forever. and for me, xiao zhan will always be wei wuxian, wang yibo will always be lan wangji, xuan lu will always be shijie, wang zhuo cheng will always be jiang cheng, yubin will always be wen ning, meng ziyi will always be wen qing, etc. ❤
I watched the drama and now I'm obsessed with everything related to the drama. I have read the novel, I keep watching Wang Yibo and Xian Zhao's videos,even the crack videos. This is one of the best dramas of this decade and no one can make me think otherwise. I have seen many dramas where the leads keep doing explicit stuff but I never felt any chemistry between them as I felt between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying who haven't even had even one kiss. Kudos to Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo for making the characters alive and memorable and someone special to my heart. Everything about this drama from the actors, their acting, their way of expressing the emotions, the songs, the aesthetical backgrounds, everything was perfect. I wish Wang Yibo and Xhao Zhan do another drama together. Their chemistry is no joke

Guys, i just cannot even express how great the drama is.... Not only the drama also the chemistry between main leads is so pure and lovable.. And Other characters acting was so great.. like Wen Ning, Jheng cheng, Yangli, Xue yang, Wen qing, Yuan, brother of lan zhan and so on. Specially the acting of Wei Wuxian's is another level. So so so so so so good..... After watching this masterpiece i cant even move on. This drama will be always the best drama to me.

I’ve watched so many straight dramas which have heated make-out sessions. This drama doesn’t have any kisses, or any intimacy because of Chinese censorship, but Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian’s relationship tops it all. There’s something so genuine about their relationship, it just makes you wanna actually cry.
There were many times I cried over this show and I still haven't finished it. Someone ruined the ending for me and I refuse to finish the series. If I don't watch the ending, it never ends. Lol

Most “popular” dramas generally have you bored at certain episodes, have a happy ending, and people usually are hyped at the first few episodes then it ends. And not to mention, they don’t give you the nostalgia whenever you rewatch it.
This drama, keeps me entertained every episode and hyped. The ending is absolutely beautiful, as it depends on how the person watching it interprets it. Either Lan Zhan came back, or it was WuXian’s own mind. But nevertheless, I get the sense of nostalgia every time I watch it, and a sense of hiraeth. I love this drama so much, it will always have a place in my heart
Actually Lan Zhan and Wei ying met indeed. And this is bc the dress Wei Ying wore at the end was the same as the dress he wore in the scenes where he met Nie Huisang, which depicts that they continued to travel together and the rest of the story continued as in the novel

I don't think it was his mind. When he turns around it's clear by the way his smile was given. He used to smile to Lan Zhan that way. He definitely sees somebody. I just think the show should've worked on making it clearer despite the censorship. Lan Zhan is not the type of person that would walk a different path from his beloved one. He didn't looked for him for 16 years to find him and let him go. There many hints they stay together, buy it depends on everyone's perspective.

We are doomed in this series forever because I myself can't even move on. This drama never gets old, it feels like it all happened yesterday. The casting directors of The Untamed seriously did a superb job finding two talented lead actors who also had outstanding chemistry together on screen. It's also worth noting that "The Untamed" includes one of the best supporting casts, each with their own story.

I rewatched the drama after 2 years. The untamed is a emotion😭
These were the 5 phases I went through after watching The Untamed:
1st phase: I rewatched the entire cdrama, novel, audio drama, and manhua and cried the entire time
2nd phase: I listened to the full OST on loop and sobbed while watching every edit of The Untamed ever made on UA-cam.
3rd: phase: Watched every bts, fan meetings, anything related to The Untamed and also ended up stanning Uniq and Xnine.
4th phase: Tried to move on and accept that there won’t be a S2.
5th phase: Realizes I won’t be able to move on and ends up back in Phase one.

Same here😭 but I'm stanning Xnine coz of Xiao Zhan and realized rewatched the untamed again and again because I can't move on from Xiao zhan and of course this drama, the storyling, the love of wangxian, the ost, the beautiful costume, and beautiful scenery. I just finished read the novel a week ago and omg I love wangxian even more.

For all YiZhan fans, this song is not just a song, it is a diary full of memories- some sweet enough to make us laugh and cheer, some so sorrowful it brings pain in our chests. 😭 This drama has ruined and made my life. I do not care what anyone thinks, for me, Untamed will always remain the biggest legendary drama. It's painful to recall what happened post the drama's success, but I will just believe that YZ will continue "sharing the same melody wherever they are."

I watched this series two weeks ago and since then I couldn't even watch another series. tbh this is the very first historical drama that I've ever seen, and maybe that's why it left so much impression on me.
reading the comment section here and on the another video related to this series, I think it's safe to say that 'the untamed' will be another 'harry potter'. maybe the series has ended a long time ago, but time after time the fandom will keep alive and bigger until God-knows-when, the memories remains forever.
and for me, xiao zhan will always be wei wuxian, wang yibo will always be lan wangji, xuan lu will always be shijie, wang zhuo cheng will always be jiang cheng, yubin will always be wen ning, meng ziyi will always be wen qing, etc. ❤

I watched the drama and now I'm obsessed with everything related to the drama. I have read the novel, I keep watching Wang Yibo and Xian Zhao's videos,even the crack videos. This is one of the best dramas of this decade and no one can make me think otherwise. I have seen many dramas where the leads keep doing explicit stuff but I never felt any chemistry between them as I felt between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying who haven't even had even one kiss. Kudos to Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo for making the characters alive and memorable and someone special to my heart. Everything about this drama from the actors, their acting, their way of expressing the emotions, the songs, the aesthetical backgrounds, everything was perfect. I wish Wang Yibo and Xhao Zhan do another drama together. Their chemistry is no joke
