I think I can guess why this ending didn't make it to the final cut. Seeing how this is animated, and it was back in the two "I'll censor your sorry self to the next kingdom" thousands, I'm guessing they didn't want angry parents yelling at them and asking why a man was taking out his anger on a boy. That would have been a big "no-no", good foresight.
I can't imagine what they would be like if they realized that Murdoc crashed a car and hurt Stuard's eyes. ps: 2d at the beginning of the band was 20 years old so he is not a child
