Gems will be put in the box with the person's prizes, but if a bunch of gems are won they usually leave a lot in the prize area for the kids🥰 and the gold coins I'm not sure tbh
Im guessing because putting in one coin they lose out on the bonus 6th coin if they would do 5. It's likely that they didn't think it was worth playing 5.
