- Hot Wheels Lickety Six Custom Formula One Tyrrell P34 Tribute - Going through some old Hot Wheels castings, I saw this Lickety Six casting and thought it would be fun to do a tribute to the F1 Tyrrell P34 driven by Jody Scheckter. This casting was produced in 1978…and years later (in 2010) Hot Wheels would produce a “true” P34 casting, but I wanted to do this tribute using the Lickety Six casting designed by Larry Wood and Bob Rosas. I hope you like the results! #hotwheels #tyrrellp34 #jodyscheckter #f1

That's my favourite F1 car of all time, I remember seeing this car as a kid and was absolutely fascinated by it. Excellent job on the tribute!
Thanks so much! I had similar memories of the car and couldn't miss the chance to do this tribute to it.
Excellent looking Recreation of the Tyrrell P34. You have done an amazing job Jim on the color, details and decals. You should be really proud of this one. 🏁🇬🇧
Thanks so much - I really am proud of the results on it!
Wonderful custom! The Tyrrell livery actually looks great on this casting.
Thanks!
Great one. Love the dark blue and black wheels
Thanks Morten! I'm really happy with how it turned out!
Excellent tribute Jim! Scheckter was a very entertaining driver!
He was...and I really wanted to do a tribute build to him so stumbling across this six wheeler was fortunate. Thanks so much!
Brilliant job Jim!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Kevin!
👍 Like it, Jim.
Thanks Uri!
Great job Jim. For the longest I did not know that this car was actually made after a real version of it.
Thanks Pete!
You saved another one!!! Excellent work, Mr. Jim! I use some color shot paint too, especially the whites and pinks, and some purples! Their color range is excellent!
Thanks Charles! I've been really happy with the Colorshot paint I've used so far - I'm really impressed.
Nice work Jim, color rendering just Fantastic!!!
Thanks so much! I'm really happy with those Colorshot paints!
Looking good brother, you did a fantastic job with it. I went through a few of them as a kid, good to see one brought back to life.
Thanks David!
Excellent tribute build. If you hadn’t said those tampos weren’t made for that car I’d never know.
Thanks Paul! The decals worked out pretty well.
What can I say that's awesome.
Thanks Ron!
Nice job Jim. Came out looking great. Nice tribute
Thanks Jody!
Nice build, details and paint job 👌 👍
Thanks Joe!
you did a great job turning this into something cool
Thanks Neil!
Looks great. I had two of these castings in very play worn condition. I ended up restoring one in the original blue and the other in the rare white version. Never thought to do it as the car it was to represent. Yours turned out really sharp.
Thanks so much!
Looks great Jim outstanding!!
Thanks Eddie!
WOW! Came out sooo cool Jim! I actually still have mine Lickety Six! Lol
Thanks Steve!
Came out killer Jim!
Thanks Keith!
Looks awesome Jim 🌴👍👍😎🌴
Thanks David!
Great job Jim 👏 nice color/livery
Thanks Scott!
Definitely a cool custom Jim Silva I really like how it turned out brother
Thanks Brandon! It’s an interesting casting.
Fabulous work 👍
Thanks Gary!
Awesome job Jim
Thanks so much!
Great colour. I really like that colour blue.
Thanks - for an inexpensive rattle can paint, I really like it too!
I love six wheels and I can’t deny… this is how the car should have looked new, save for HW likely not wanting to pay the licensing fees. I too like the tires, but the whole casting turned out Great! Thank you!
Thanks so much Brian!
Great job Jim and looks awesome 👍🏻
Thanks Mark!
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms you're welcome 😊
Cool stuff as usual Jim.
I have a the Tyrell P34 Flying Customs release in black with slightly psychedelic livery.
Thanks Adam! That sounds like an interesting livery for the P34!
Outstanding mate 🍻
Thanks Matt!
An amazing tribute build, always thought Tyrrell P34 was a cool design, heard mix views how well it was as a race car.
Thanks so much John! I feel the same way about the Tyrrell...interesting concept, but there are some "critical" comments about it (one I heard saying it was "absolute rubbish" lol)
Once again realizing a casting I had planned to do in the same livery. Well done, sir! Got my goat again! Was wondering, considering it was Jody Scheckter, if you were going use a South African Pygmy Goat... Well, Have fun with your toys!
LOL Thanks David! While I didn't use a South African pygmy goat, I did use a sound based upon Jody Scheckter's nickname.
Really cool project Jim! Btw--- wheels look fantastic!
Thanks Mike! I'm REALLY happy with the wheels - I wasn't sure when I started how they would look, but in the end, I really like them and will certainly do this again in the future.
looks great Jim
Thanks Joe!
Hi, JIm! To be honest, I had to go look up the F1 Tyrrell P34 Jody Scheckter racer on Google Images. Vintage 1976. Now that I'm a bit more knowledgeable I can say that this is a fine tribute build. Nice wheel treatment. Big thumbs up from Switzerland. 🍁☕👍
Thanks so much Andrew! Although I was somewhat familiar with the car before I started the project, when I did my research I was surprised at how many subtle (and some no so subtle lol) variations of the six wheel Tyrrell existed. Have a great weekend!
I love this.
2 things....watching you put that together is a lot like the real car. The driver has to sit in the tiny seat and the crew lowers the cowling over him. And it is so tiny....its like just a tad bigger than a go cart at least from a youtube video I watched of some famous car dude getting the opportunity to drive the real deal.
2.
Muncie Mikes (I googled Hot Wheel Good Year tires....) has Hot Wheel bigs and littles with black rims and goodyear printed rubber if you ever wanted to up the realism. Either way I am super impressed with your restored wheels. Like....wow.....😮❤
Thanks Don! I'm really happy with how this turned out. There are a lot of options for wheels out there (at times, it's staggering between sources on eBay, people selling through Instagram, people selling through their FaceBook accounts, and so on) but sometimes you just want to "go with what you got" and make it work lol. The wheels surprised me too with how well they turned out lol.
Great work - again!
Great color, matching decals (do they glow in the dark?), I'm sure an interested collector would gladly pay a high price for this beautiful piece.
I especially like the way you've made the old wheels look fresh again.
Your restoration makes me want to search deep into various hidden thought processes and brainwaves.
As far as I remember, I once saw a photo of a 6-wheeled Formula 1 car somewhere when I was at primary school (it may have been an Indy Car with today's knowledge...).
My brain projects the color black and gold John Player special sponsor stickers onto my mind's eye, but I'm not sure if the car and the look go together.
I've heard the name Scheckter in a racing context, of course, but can't say anything more about it because I've never been interested so much.
My father would have more to say about him, he was much more interested in these things
Thanks Fritz! Jody Scheckter did run a black and gold livery with Walter Wolf Racing...maybe that's what's in your mind.
I have a box of them I'm gonna send you one of these days I just keep forgettin.
LOL Lord knows I'm in no rush...I have a lot of little cars running around here already lol
Great video, good work, a pleasure to see your videos! support your fantastic content! ❤❤🙌🙌😊😊👍#148
Thanks so much!
another HW casting that's relevant to my Ford collection...
great work, looks a lot like the real thing now. :) and yeh, I'd have used the original wheels, too. on the real car the front wheels would have been even smaller, though. :)
the goat gets a hoarse throat methinks.
that were alot of oa's. whoah.
Thanks Lothar! About the goat...it's actually a sound chosen based upon Jody Scheckter's nickname lol
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms Criminey! XD
👍 Thx 🇧🇪.
Thanks Rudi!
Nice job jim where the hell do you find all.😂🍻
🤣🤣🤣 You just get a big box of crap and start sifting through it 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing transformation!! That engine casting is nice, it's a shame it's kind of hidden by the wing, but yeah, it looks very realistic with the paint you used on it. 👍😎👍 🚥🏎🏁
Thanks! I thought the same thing as I was putting the body on...I love the look of the engine and so much is hidden.
👍👍😎🔥
Thanks Dane!
Outstanding! Never heard of or seen a Lickety six before. Gotta say, I dig it.
bugs @hotwheeleveryday
It's kinda cool isn't it Bruce - I'm really happy with how this looks.
Awesome job Jim
Thanks Michael!
