@@MeetoNenu i appreciate your thoughts. nowadays generation dont believe in living economically, they buy everything ready made and throw away so much stuff that can be used to make something else.
which part of usa are you in?
even the wilted outer cabbage leaves can be combined with other leftover veggies, both the cut pieces of carrot ends , cauliflower stalks, broccoli stalks etc to make a veg stock which can be used to make soups.
i too save the water after making paneer to knead roti dough :)
