Since Mica Miller took her own life earlier this month, her estranged husband John-Paul Miller has been in the spotlight. Mica’s family accuses the pastor of abusing and harassing Mica prior to her death. The couple was going through divorce proceedings just before the 30-year-old’s death. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber spoke with Mica’s best friend Charlotte Korn, as well as her family law attorney Regina Ward, about newly revealed text messages and accusations against John-Paul.

Any time I accidentally find myself in incognito, I panic because I imagine that will be the first thing "they" will look at. I never bought the incognito option. All along, I felt it would have been entrapment for those not smart enough to see a trap.
In my opinion the lawyer advised her politically rather than humanely which is what she should have done. Clients in duress need immediate separation and distance. This situation did not protect her‼️

I had an ex-husband like this...not a pastor, but he used many of the same tactics, and it is so hard to articulate to anyone else in a way that they would understand.. I tried 6 times to get out, and nearly died... If I hadn't been lucky enough to record him admitting to how he fantasized about killing me, no one would have believed me.... People don't want to believe that someone could be this intentionally cruel... I am so thankful her story is being told!! Prayers to her family and loved ones!! ❤️🙏

My ex was like this. Not as bad but bad. If I hadn't left when he was out of town, I have no idea what he'd have done. I had nightmares he was going to set my parents house on fire with us inside.
So many people think he's great, he abused me behind closed doors and I was too terrified of him to record his rage tantrums, talking about murdering people.
He shredded me. I'm 6 years out and STILL healing. It's so difficult to rebuild one's shredded self esteem 😢

A person smiling when they're talking to somebody doesn't mean anything when it comes to depression. I have moderate to severe depression and when I'm talking with people, I smile all the time. It's automatic; it is for many women. I've just started watching this, but I know that it really doesn't mean anything when you're looking to see if someone's depressed.

Been through a similar situation. My mother-in-law blamed me for issues in the marriage and was totally blind to any fault in her son. It was useless to try to shine a light on my plight as my ex was a beloved leader in the church. No one would have believed the man he was at home. Thankfully, my ex found another woman and divorced me to marry her. Today, he is a jobless alcoholic squatting in his dead mother's apartment. I am thankful to be alive today and doing very well. I believe there's more to this Mica's story that will come out in time. I do know one thing that I do know, there will be consequences that her sheep in wolf's clothing will face.
Listening to her lawyer, she was still trying to make things easier on JP Miller. We do this as codependents. Sad, cause he’s blamed her for everything.

I don’t believe anything he says and there’s also speculation that the so called video of her in Africa claiming she pulled the trigger that locked may not really sync up with the recording. Maybe JPs attorney and AI expert altered the video and soundtrack. It should be looked at more closely.

Hipaa only applies to medical providers to keep their patients info confidential.

She physically watched for JP to leave, her husband went over there on the night the text fight was going on and she encouraged mics to have the police do a wellness check on him to make sure he didn’t do anything. She went to the elders of the church and told them everything.. she literally did everything she could to help her friend, it was the system that failed her.
