Considering you're not professional filmmakers, this has been a beautiful series. I'm almost as sad as you are that it's come to an end. I wonder if the Swiss weather is always this good, or if you were particularly lucky? Definitely changed my view of the country which I've only ever seen covered in snow.

I own a Super Glide Custom and have inadvertently dropped it. Though gently so as not to damage the bike. Just damaged myself. The point of “no return” is a very real thing.

Did you end up taking your rented rear wheel back to the dealership? I hope yours had been repaired and was ready to go!
Actually they gave us the wheel, we paid for the repairs on ours and they did a straight swap. Apart from the broken spokes the wheel had less mileage than the one they gave us.

I once dropped my previous motorcycle, BMW R1200RT, while walking. It was not possible to get the motorcycle back upright and I did not want to drop it but put it down in a controlled manner because of the side cases. Due to the force I had to use, I bruised my ribs, could hardly breathe and suffered for a year and a half. I will never walk with such a heavy motorcycle again, not even the FJR1300 that I have now. And... now you know Brian... NEVER EVER drop Carolynes bike! You'll regret it for the rest of you (night) life 😉

24k miles. No issues, well apart from the wobbly wheel
Just out of interest are black number plates still legal in the U.K.? They would be a better option for the current mode for retro bikes.
We carry the yellow one in the pannier as people kleep saying its only allowed for older bikes
