Rather than expressing sexuality freely, I think it's more of a portrayal of what today's dating scene is like. For example, youngesters, especially males, don't want to be tied down or take responsibility. That love is looked down upon. She says that the smoking is an atempt to forget or numb one's self from the emptiness or the cheap, dirty surrounding of what is mostly love motels. And her portraying a highschool girl who gets a condom in her locker like it was a love letter or a gift, it could mean the pressure that is on teenagers to have sex. That's how I got it.
