- I like the Dino Crisis 1 and 2 save themes more than any Resident Evil save theme. It's not that I don't like RE's, I love them, but while they are calm tunes, they don't make you feel safe. They make you feel uneasy and aware that there are still monsters out there. Dino Crisis save theme, on the other hand, makes you feel totally safe, even though there's a T-Rex outside just waiting for a bite. I would really love a remake of this franchise, but after what Capcom has done to Devil May Cry, releasing that abortion of a game, I don't think they would do Dino Crisis justice. Better leave it as it is.
Eu gosto dos temas de Save do Dino Crisis mais do que os do Resident Evil. Não que eles sejam ruins, eu adoro eles também, porém os do Resident Evil não fazem você se sentir seguro. Na verdade eles fazem você se sentir desconfortável e te lembram que ainda tem muito monstro lá fora. O do Dino Crisis, por outro lado, te faz sentir totalmente seguro, mesmo tendo um T-Rex lá fora, só esperando pra dar uma mordida. Eu gostaria muito de ver um remake do Dino Crisis, mas depois de ver o que a Capcom fez com Devil May Cry, lançando aquele aborto que eles chamam de jogo, eu não acho que eles fariam justiça a Dino Crisis. Melhor deixar como está.

Man, 22 years. Been a long time since a dino crisis game.
You can hear a T.rex walking... I love it
When this music played for the first time, it gave me a reality check..
It snapped me out of the game , and I looked at my surroundings realising my mother is asleep on the chair ..
At that moment , it just hit me.. that the people close to me aren't going to be with me forever..
This was a profound feeling

+David Lilley I had a copy for PC. Never really played it until I was a teenager and I had a blast. Just going back and properly completing it was satisfying. But now... the disk sits in my cabinet. Broken and corrupted. Pains me to know I didn't look after it right.

It may just be me, but the Dino Crisis 1&2 safe room themes have never made me feel at ease. When I walk into a room and hear this theme, I know I'm safe, but for how long? The heartbeat-esque instrumentals (and the heartbeat itself) accompanied by the violins and electronic keyboard are a sure reminder that while you are currently safe, you are in a world with unsympathetic beasts and no sure-fire way home. (That last sentence was referring to Dino Crisis 2, but you get the idea.)
+Deadman Packman yeah they did a good job with that kinda simaler to in resident evil code veronica they made you feel uneasy even though safe but stuck on an island with many enemys wanted to feed

To me that single repeating note in the background brings sense of unease and dread, it sounds like emergency alarm going off in the distance, in a place where you will eventually have to go.

I really miss this game so much , I remember playing this after school or in my holidays with my friends , Capcom should bring back this game , at least a remake version .

I'd love for them to do a remake for Dino crisis, but to give it the treatment of re4 remake or re2 remake and not what they did for re3 remake, something that'll give it justice for how good it was but to enhance the graphics everything else was golden

One of the best games on the PS1 I ever played as a kid, and boy did it scare me, the sense of loneliness and despair this soundtrack brings, it puts me right back to being a little kid again ;(

Yep. Sadly not anymore. Kids have been evolved and we can't get this feeling anymore
And the graphics aren't close to today's standards but the story and gameplay was still amazing. Now it's all about graphics, shitty half assed story and you play it for a week and shelf it and wished you didn't waste the money.

There are still plenty of them. Literally hundreds. Not all of them are good, not all of them are bad either. Indeed, there are excellent ones out there available to be played in all kinds of platforms in all console generations, including the newest current gen. Which ones have you played that made you say such things?

After I fell in love with the DC 1 save theme, I remember being totally curious for the DC 2 one back in the good old PSX days. When I finally reached the first save room and heard it, I found it to be a close shadow of its predecessor and just too similar. But after a while, I grew fond with it. It's more mellow in tone than DC 1 and has a feeling of its own. Thanks for the upload!

New Resident Evil Save Room Music This version is actually from the Dino Crisis spin-off game (Resident Evil: Dead Aim is from the same spin-off game lineup), so they probably placed it in here for reasons you guys mentioned.

Just got this game yesterday at the yard sale. It's like Resident Evil and Jurassic Park had a child together, thus a great sequel was born. I need to find more of these. Damn shame Capcom didn't even bother to resurrect this franchise, instead they're milking the fuck out of the Resident Evil series.Especally the half-assed remakes (RE2 2019 and RE3 2020). RE1 (2002 Remake) will stand as THE true remake.

I always found this score strangely enough, to fit dino crisis 2 more than it did 1...especially when you first encounter it, in the first save room of the game. In the research facility just before you get locked in that room as Dylan.
It's the medical room with the beds, blood stains, and rotting corpse...and it has that incredible file that tells us that the inhabitants that you've come to rescue that are stuck in the future, have ran out of medical supplies and have resorted to having to use plants from that time to heal wounds and stay alive, and overall how desperate they are after being stuck waiting to be rescued or to find a solution themselves, and that their time was running out.
I just found a simple file like that, to be so interesting yet so rich in world building, and to top it off, this theme plays whilst you read it, and itfits perfectly...with the not much hope left vibe, type vibe that I get from this music and that first save room...
And to a similar extent, when you encounter the save theme in that gun store, after the Edward city FMV sequence (which is just stunning, and I wish that part was longer, and we actually got to play and save some people :(
Thegun store is a prime example of pre-rendered backgrounds telling a story, that 3d models at that time, couldn't tell nearly as good imo.
Thedead gunstore owner, with a shotgun by his feet, his store ravaged and destroyed with bullets and blood everywhere, gun cases all empty, and ofcourse, the bodies of two dead raptors that he made his last stand
against all whilst listening to this theme.

I've never played this game, but the rumbling already tells me this Save theme fits well with the game a lot more than the one with the first game. Gigantic T rex + unsettling tone of music + rumbling foley. Love it!

we, as Dino crisis fans, should gather to ask for a re-master for 1 and 2 [being honest the third one was messed up]. Ther must be a way to make this happen, there are a lot of videogames that are not worth making, and capcom is running out of ideas, imagine dinocrisis 1 and 2 with today´s graphics!!! with a third-person camera, and if you complete the game on maximum difficulty you get the original camera mode, with more campaing, I dont know, capcom is missing one of the greatest games in history.... Since the remaster of resident evil, capcom have been flooded with people asking for a remaster of the first game. From the maker of Dino crisis he said that he may do Dino crisis 4 or a remaster but nothing is certain. There are thousands of people out there who want this to happen.

Tengo que aceptarlo, estos juegos son una obra maestra, aunque tengan gráficos bajísimos, le dan mil patadas en el culo a varios juegos actuales, Dino Crisis.. al escuchar ese título solo se me viene a la cabeza la vez que estaba en el bus en la oscuridad, la única luz que había era la de mi celular, mientras veía a Regina correr por los pasillos y los velociraptors la seguían, luego Dino Crisis 2, esas tardes en la escuela jugando Dino Crisis con mis amigos... Dino Crisis, gracias por hacerme sentir el amor de los 90, los videojuegos que marcaron esa época, me arrepiento tanto por haber nacido tan tarde para disfrutar estás obras, tal vez nací muy temprano para si alguna vez reciben un Remaster o otra secuela, pero nací en el momento exacto donde puedo disfrutar todas estas obras en un solo lugar...

When I thought the t-rex was my second biggest problem in that game (behind the veloci-raptors) ,,,,, flipping gigantosaurous rex makes an appearance and I as a kid was like "Waaaaaaa Daaaa FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUQ!" I was missing the T-rex after that.

Not sure if you are gonna see this, but if you want a very similar feel to the Dino Crisis games I'd check out Compound Fracture. A new trailer drops in a few days iirc. Basically an fps action horror and it is all about the dinosaurs in a facility.

still have both games, Dino Crisis I got back in 1999 on the PS1 and Dino Crisis 2 I found back in 2001 or 2002 for 20 new.
That does not sound like the actual theme I hear, and I own a copy of DC2. Dino Crisis 2 sounds just like the first one.
As good as this is. The Dino Crisis 2 save theme is the same as in the first game. This version of the save theme is in Dino Stalker. Unless this is the save theme for the release in Japan or Europe but I can only speak for the American version.

After RE4 remake releases i think and hope for Capcom to take a break from RE and the remakes and reboot and remake Both DC1 and DC2, DC1 leave the same concept with Dr. Kirk and the big island etc. But make it bigger and better and the game a little more longer, DC2 needs a big overhaul remake although I loved it but the arcade gameplay style kinda killed off the scary horror vibe, bring back the scary horror vibe and simce since DC2 is on a bigger island they just need to add alot more to the story and I think it's a good opportunity they can make the whole island Open world or just add a little open world rescuing survivors from their team etc. and trying to find their missing time traveling parts around the huge island, be cool if they can add a day and night cycle, they can also add mercenaries or survivor mode like they did for RE but this time for dinosaurs, after all this hopefully DC1 and DC2 are successful we can finally get our Dino Crisis 3 game we should've gotten a long time ago (not that crappy dinosaurs in space game)
I really do think that's a possibility. With the new resident evil trilogy coming to an end and the upcoming online dino shooter with the red haired protagonist that looks very familiar to the one in Dino Crisis. I don't wanna get my hopes up but with the passion of the Dino Crisis fan base along with dino fans dreaming of a survival horror dino game mix the popularity of Jurassic World (despite the last two being duds) you get a decent pool of dinosaur fans that would definitely like to play a Dino Crisis 1&2 Remake. Possibly a sequel (ignoring the third one)
