Maruti sells the maximum number of cars in the Indian market and they are the experts of the Indian automobile market. But, I don't understand the reason they bring in so many cars in the same segment- and especially in the entry level segment. You already have cars like the alto 800, s presso, celerio and the wagon r. All these cars have atleast a few variants with similar prices.
This has always been their strategy. You walk in to a Maruti showroom, you will have products in your budget say for example from 3 lakhs to 7 lakhs. 5-6 products will overlap with each other. The consumer will end up buying any one because more combination of features that the consumers desire is available in at least any one model. At the end of the day Maruti gained a sale albeit at the cost of cannibaliztion of another maruti product. Kinda like umbrella strategy.

In May 2016, my ALTO K10 AMT was priced at 408000. On road price (inclusive of 40000 accessories) was 515000. Today I need to shell 550000, a whopping 35% more. And then the Onroad should be 650000 without extra accessories. 😳😳😳
I won't deny that C3 is expensive but you don't have to waste money there on wheel balancing, Alignment as for the Maruti Suzuki cars and Citroen is best in class vehicle. Annually services unlike 6 months.

A useful feedback for car reviewers. Next time you want to describe non adjustable rear headrests, don't waste time on so many words like marginal support, small, inadequate, etc. Just use one word: "useless" !

Take a close look. It's a old celerio changed with Cosmetic upgrade. Dashboard and back doors are borrowed from Espresso.
