Great question! I don’t think that enjoying something such as cars is a bad thing, but it’s when it controls you that it becomes a problem. I would like to share with you a quote below that can shine some light on the topic:

Do what you will with that information, but ultimately it’s the ability to have control of your relationship to something that determines whether it’s “materialistic” or normal.

@@ElChanty46 If you have Hobbies like Sports or Martial Arts, Motorcycle Riding, Crafting, Hunting, Computer Design and so on having them is not the problem, however if they become the priority in your life above Christ then you are at risk of the sin of idolatry, so have them, enjoy them, but do not put them above Christ and most importantly understand that eventually they will die and return to the dust.
