People who don’t craft have no idea the work involved to make these beautiful things. I love the use of the spindles. Abs you’re price is good. It’s the one person who wants it and then it’ll sell!
Watching your videos ALMOST makes me want to go to my shop in my basement and start making new stuff. I used to love making shelves and cabinets. Just lost my passion, but I think I will try a blanket ladder.
My husband makes blanket ladders out of rough cut lumber we buy from the Amish. Then for the rungs he will use solid branches from the trees on our property. Very rustic, good sellers. Love the idea of smaller decorative ladders and using spindles. Always appreciate your ideas.
I've wanted to make some these for so long and was slowly collecting spindles, well during a recent barn (storage) cleaning my son's girlfriend unknowingly tossed my box of spindles into the dumpster that has since gone to be emptied. I was livid at first but, forgive and forget, right? Yeah... Love the ladders!
I absolutely LOVE spindle projects and ladders too. There is an old dilapidated farmhouse I drive by every weekday that has decorative woodwork on the porch that would make 2 beautiful blanket ladders. I just haven’t worked up the courage to stop and ask for. It is on a working farm and I’m afraid if they agree to give it to me or sell it to me that I will have to cut it off of the falling down porch roof myself. But it gives me all of the feels every time I pass it. It never hurts to ask right? I need to just go for it. This summer I was lucky enough to purchase 3 vintage wooden step ladders at a rummage sale. 2 of them were 6 foot. The other one has to be 10-12 feet tall. I haven’t measured it. I am currently using the largest one in my living room. I’m so in love but would still love to make some spindle ladders. Spindles are so hard to come by in my area though. I only have 6 spindles currently just sitting because I want to make so many different things with them and I can’t decide which I want the most. Thank you for sharing this video with us. It looks a lot easier than I had imagined it in my head.
These were all beautiful. My daughter used Dollar Tree wire baskets with "S" hooks and hung them from a rung and fills the basket with seasonal floral's it looks so cute with the blanket and the smaller ones with tea towels.
Hi Yvonne. Not only do I love all of your creations, but I love the way you stage them. The spools and small box just add so much to the already beautiful items 😍. You and Chris make what might have been junk into heartwarming treasures. It is truly inspiring.
I love the idea of a blanket ladder. What could be used to hold decorative bed pillows when you take them off the bed? I don't have space for a basket. I hate putting them on the floor. It be cool to have a pillow ladder. 🤣
Oh do I love that small one with the spindles and then Chris placed smaller spindle ends on the outside too ! ❤️❤️. Wish I had counter space for one, I think they are so nice! I was wondering if Michigan was having a heat wave! LOL!!! Flip flops and short…OR your heating system is very good ! Have a wonderful week ! ❤️❤️🌲🌲❤️❤️
Love your ladders! They are so cute and the price is really good. I used to work at a place and we made ladders and they were not near as nice and believe me the sold for a lot more.
Love blanket ladders. I have some spindles from an old chair waiting for me right now. Thanks so much for inspiring me to get in gear!! Thanks Yvonne 🪜
Yvonne i loved your blanket ladders as well as the towel ladders.I also would like to see you guys do some noodle boards.thanks for all the patient things you share.
Love them they are so cute. I was lucky enough I found 1inch dowels on clearance 50 cent each. I purchased 10 wish I had gotten more. So blanket ladders it is LOL thank you for sharing
Beautiful 😍 my husband made me a blanket ladder last year for a Christmas present and used spindles for the rungs and I love it plus its the handmade items that are super special! Love your videos!
I made one for my daughter in-law, it turned out super cute. I am doing my very first craft show tomorrow and I so badly wanted to get a couple tall ones and a couple small ones done for the show, but time ran out. I hope to do a spring show and will for sure have some done then. Chris and your ladders turned out very nice.
Hi Yvonne! These ladders a great. I haven't had a call for black but I think I will try one and see what happens. I sell the tea towel ladders and, 4foot, 5foot ,6foot, in the summer when it was worm I would spray paint black then white and sand for the farmhouse look. Or do the wax like you. But now that its not warm I will have to paint inside so I dont know how that will work. But these and the welcome signs has been my best sellers all spring, summer and fall. The 4 foot i get $30, 5foot,$40, 6FOOT $50. but I dont really get anyone that wants 6 foot. The 5 foot sells the best. And then the small ones do pretty good. On my welcome signs I get $25 5 foot both sides $50 I have sold some of the stove covers as well. We make the ladders out of pine and Kenny makes the rungs, I dont have that many spindles if I do I use then on the small ones. Have a great rest of your weekend and God bless
What size wer the boards that go vertical? You said "or a one by," what size was it, a one by ???? They are so beautiful. I have some spindles, from 4 chairs that I just broke down, and I wanted to make some ladders. Also what angle did he cut the bottom of the ladder "legs?." Nevermind, I heard the angle, but is the 1 x, just a 1x1?
The ladders are just beautiful! I’m partial to the ones with the spindles. (I’ll take anything with a spindle. lol) The tea towel ladders are adorable! I wouldn’t know how to choose just one to purchase! Question: on the first ladder, how far apart are the rungs? Thanks a lot.
I may have missed it so I apologize if I did but what dimensions are the yea towel ladders? I know you said you make your blanket ladders 6 ft but I didn’t hear what the others are. Thank you in advance.

😚uauuu!amei mimoso.
Love the ladders. I missed how to do the ladder w/spindle on the outside rail. Is that glued on?
That one was some spindles that were given to us. Oddly they screwed into the ends. So he just drilled the hole accordingly.

Yes, it’s a 2x2 , ( pine) and 15 degree angle. Have fun making 💕

They can be as far apart as you want them. Be usually we like a 12 inch rung
