For anyone whos confused about Elizabeth part, or just curious, in my AU Mrs afton develops Postpartum psychosis, this as-well leads to her becoming an Alcoholic. She loves all her children but she often has moments of severe alcoholism where she gets aggressive and violent and somewhat digresses back into her old mental state.
