Hello my fellow musician friends. This week, our piece of music is a classic! It's, "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz. Lyrics Down Below:
The original key is in Ab and is sometimes tough for sopranos to hit the low notes in this song. So, I raised the key from Ab Major to Bb Major for those of you who are trying to sing in a higher key.
So, in addition to my other weekly music lessons and review videos, I’m going to add a separate playlist for instrumental/karaoke tracks of classical pieces. The thing that you will hopefully find helpful is that I will be transposing the piece into a different key.
A lot of times, students find it hard to sing along to music that is written in a key that is not suited for their voice. So, the keys of the pieces you find here will hopefully be in keys you can’t find anywhere else online.
