The villagers had informed the wildlife officers that there is a huge tusk elephant which is difficult to walk and isolated in a close by jungle. Then the medical team visited the village and observed the condition of the elephant. Usually in a situation like this, the veterinary doctor examines its moments of ears, weather it takes food properly and walks with difficulty. Then it is clearly detected that it has a difficult walking. When observing further, they clearly detected that there is an injury on the front leg of the tusk elephant. Accordingly, they decided to sedate the elephant and give high dose of antibiotics with multi vitamins. The reason for giving high dose is that the wound was getting worst.
The wound has been taken placed on the leg about one foot from the ground level. It may be due to a trap set by the villagers for hunting small animals. In this way hundreds of innocent elephants are critically affected and victimized in vain due to illegal animal hunting. With the observation of doctors this elephant was once again vaccinated with antibiotics after one week period. As a result of proper treatments and correct guidance of the veterinary doctors, the elephant was fully recovered after few days.
