HOW I MAKE MY CLIP-ON EARRINGS // converting regular earrings into clipons

- Опубліковано 6 чер 2020
- As requested, today I am finally explaining why I don't have my ears pierced and how I convert normal statement earrings into clipons! There are two different types of earrings which ultimately lead to two different "conversion processes". Watch this video to find out how I make my clip-ons.
I get 90% of my earrings from Walmart's Time&Tru line (in store only), SheIn, and Target.

You’ve been asking me for ages why I don’t have my ears pierced/how I make my clip one so today I finally sat down to share with you! Linking the items I used as well as my new earrings in the description bar. 🤠
How could people noticed you don't have your ears pierced, I think it's difficult unless they saw you in person but through UA-cam video?😮 impressive! They have awesome sight powers 😂
S Sei I mention it in many videos!
Have you tried the clip on earring converters for stud earrings? You don't have to snap off the backs of the hoop earrings😊
It’s a different way to do that I get converters though Amazon and they have it where you can put your post and dangle earrings and and than you aren’t creating extra work for you to do. When you have tons of earrings like you do and I do it can be a lot of extra work for sure. The dangles have a plastic back after going through the converters and studs don’t need a back because the converter is the back. As far as your clip on earrings hurting they can be adjusted I had to do all mine that way too. There’s a UA-cam video on how to adjust them. It’s always great to see others have different idea’s on how to convert them though Thanks for sharing.
Omg my daughter has exact same situation as you and she doesn't have a lot of earrings because it's so hard to find cute clip ons! She usually has to custom order which can be expensive after awhile. So glad we came across your videos 🤗
Omg THANK you. I never got my ears pierced and normally I don’t care but sometimes when I have a special event, I kinda wanna wear them and most clip on earrings are ugly 😝 Great video for unpierced girls
Yay glad you found this helpful!! The kind with fishhooks are so easy to make-the other pairs def take some time!
If u go to Claire’s they have cute clip on earrings
girl bless you. when i had my ears pearced, keloid scarring appeared from my holes so naturally i had to take my earrings out and had a surgery. i most likely can never have them re-pearced again, so your video is a LIFESAVER
Sameee I had earrings since a baby
They got infected last time I was around elementary last time I did around 4th 5th grade
@@naomiiyt2435 me toooo
Same!! The keloids kept coming back but thank goodness there's an alternative 💕💕
@@cheap2402 Do you have keloids elsewhere? I started getting them on my back recently and have gotten so insecuree. I had a surgery for my ears super young but these are new to me
awwww your dad helping you is so adorable! this was a great video. thanks!
Thank you!! 😊
This was so inspiring, and very sweet of your Dad to help you out with the cutting and filing part. Very creative. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this!
I'm watching this because, as a photographer, I might have models/clients who don't have pierced ears/have sensitive ears and this might come in handy someday.
That is so nice of your father to do that! Makes my heart warm ❤️ because I love my dad and he is the same way anything for their daughters ❤️
Worlds sweetest dad! He is so attentive to every detail of the process. Oh my goodness 😿😪🙃
You and your dad are so cute. This might sound silly, but I cried watching this because I miss my dad so much.
Just a little tip. When your ready to glue the earring to the clip, first add a little hot glue then the E-6000 glue. The hot glue helps it to adhere right away, while the e-6000 glue dries. Great ideas.
Don't mix the two glues it compromises the E6000. Put them beside each other.
I'm ready to do this. I can't wear pierced ears for the same reason. I wanna get anime earring though and other stuff.
Check out arc beauty co!
YES I'm watching this for my tanjiro earrings
@@juunsage2271 I will be getting me a pair soon and Fruits Basket and more others.
Ooo, I really wanna make a Etsy for fake clip on earrings! Character themed earrings :)
@@lizzie_linlin please do! That would be awesome!
I love your dad. It's so nice he is working with you.
Dad has a great shop, and keeps it super-clean. Most people would clip off little pieces of metal & let 'em fall on the floor.
Omg I seriously feel like all of your past few vids are so catered to me. I didn’t know your ears weren’t pierced, and I always look at how cute yours are. mine aren’t either so this is such a cool video because I love earrings
Love me some statement earrings! Glad you found this one helpful :)
A little more expensive but a little easier to convert is you can buy earing converters from Hobby Lobby and then just stick the little metal wire piece into the barrel thing. Works with studs but they don't look as good as dangly ones. Six of these converter things cost $4 at hobby lobby so quite a bit more expensive.
Your dad helping you and explaining is the cutest thing ever ! My dad is the same way haha
And this whole time i thought that my crippling fear of needles was gonna stop me from wearing earrings
i like your pfp!
@@Aaron-fs1oj Ah thanks i like yours too
Thank you! Really appreciate you showing how to do the conversion. Haven't worn earrings for 20 years (since I was a teen), now I get to accessorize again. So much fun! :D
I loved this video! I have just recently started wearing clip on ear rings because I wasn't sure how my ears or I would react to being pierced, but I have found that there seems to be no selection at stores for me to select. I found this is very informative especially for the ones that have the posts. Thanks for sharing.
I also loved that your dad was a part of this as well :)
This is amazing! I just visited my aunt's house and she gave me some of my grandma's earrings, I thought I couldn't wear them but now I can 🥰. Thanks for sharing!!
Girl...literally bless you 🥺🥺🥺 I got mine pierced last year when i turned 16, but i had high anxiety putting them in and out , and as for me they also irritated my ears a lot, even trying to clean them they’d just be irritated :”) Can’t wait to convert mine :D
Thank you!! I also have an allergic problem with my ears. Your video really gives me the confidence to wear beautiful earrings again :)
Hi McKenzie. Thank you for such an informative and helpful video. Although I own tons of clip-ons, it's nice to have this additional option. My favorite clip is the screw-back clip-on type because of how easily you can adjust them to your comfort without accidentally breaking them. I buy the majority of them now from Amazon because of the wide variety of styles with the screw-back clip. Now with your video, I can convert all my other clip-ons to screw-backs as well using a similar method to what you showed in the video. Thanks again for this video. Your channel is great!
Great video... Another option when glueing the earrings is to use the flat back clip on earring piece it's sold on amazon that might keep them from falling apart. I wear and convert clip on earrings too. I'm always looking for new ways and styles
What is that flat back clip on piece called to where I might look for it on amazon?
You and your Dad are so nice! Thank you for this instruction video. I was tired of pierced ears getting infected
Very creative solution to a common problem!!
Some helpful tips from a jewelry making hobbiest: The rings are called jump rings and they are weakened when you spread them open the way that you did. Try opening them by twisting it to the side.
They sell flat back clip on blanks that would eliminate a few of your steps for a lot of those studs.
There are some specialized jewelry glues that will hold up better than e6000 if regluing starts to bother you.
Nothing I've said is meant to criticize you. I just hope you find something helpful. I think you did an awesome job!
This video was sooo helpful ! I have extremely sensitive ears as well and have been collecting earrings for awhile that I haven’t been able to wear especially for college 😂 thanks for this tutorial 💕
Hi McKenzie! You do such a great job showing how you tackle that issue converting pierced to clip on, but there are some other great videos that show how to convert the post ones too - it’s super easy and it opens up a whole new array of beautiful earrings you can convert and wear! Love to see your videos - good luck in college and have fun! 🤗
Yes! so thankful for this video, I was so allergic to earrings and I’m super excited to finally wear some cute statement earrings!!
yay I'm so glad!
This information was very helpful. Thanks for sharing 😃 I appreciate your time as well the helpful tip to how to. You Are Awesome!
Thanks again.
You have the coolest dad in the world
omg thank u so much i got my ears pierced when i was like 8 at claires then long story short got infect, pierced diagonal and closed up. so my parents wont let me get them repierced because they doesnt want the drama so thank you!
This was so informative thank you! ❤️
You're a cute girl and you have a great dad, I love this idea and the earrings look fantastic ♡
This is such a helpful video! I don’t have my ears pierced since I’m allergic to most metals, but I’ve always wanted to wear big fun earrings like the ones you have here, so thank you so much for this tutorial!!
Also, I’m a freshman at Kent State this year!! When I heard you say that you got those big tassels cause they reminded you of the school colors I got really excited cause I was thinking the same thing lol 😂
Girl, I will just like to say this, but I am still a child, and I recently got my ears pierced a couple months ago, and the earrings fell through the bottom of my ears 😢 so that’s really helped me. Thank you. 😊
This is actually so cool!
thank you! it's what works for me lol
I haven’t worn earrings since I was around 13 because I’m allergic to everything and now I’m shooketh
Beautiful as always Mckenzie 🔝Ciaooo 👍
As someone who makes earrings without having piercings, this is extremely helpful! (Fyi, those little rings are called jump rings)
Omg, honestly your ears look cuter without piercings!!! Great choice to let your holes heal!!
Omygoshhh this totally helps. Thank uuu
so many cute earrings!!! i’ve thought abt getting colored earrings so many times i just don’t kno if i’ll wear them uk
Thank you so much for showing I’ve been struggling with clip on earrings I can’t wear real ones because I have seizures. And this was so helpful I’m definitely going to start making my own
Thanks for the video! You have the best dad!
Thank you so much for this, super helpful! Was wondering how you do your make up its so pretty!,
Thank you soooooo so much for this video! I also had my ears pierced when I was young (about 8 I think) and wasn’t very responsible out of lack of knowledge and I wore a pair of pearl earring 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I don’t even remember how long I had them in for but eventually one of my brothers noticed that the earrings didn’t look right so I took them off and had giant holes in my ears. My ears had unfortunately had a reaction to the cheap metal and started to push the earrings almost completely out of my ear on one side and about 3/4 of the distance on the other. My ears healed so the the holes are closed but I now have visible divets in my ears where the hole had been. Needles to say I haven’t gotten my ears re pieced even though I am now 15. I haven’t really worn clip on earrings at all either but I recently wanted to get some after seeing really cute pair of normal earrings, but was surprised at the lack of variety. I knew there had to be a way to convert them and I found this video, it was SUPER helpful thank you!
I had the same problem and I had them done twice, and they just kept getting more and more infected, so I finally just quit so I have the clip earrings. My sister had the same problem and she said you have to use pure gold but I didn't want to take the chances anymore so I stayed to wearing clip.
So nice to see the converters, because there's beautiful pierced earrings that clipons just don't make.🤗🌷💖
Amazing love this video. 👍🏻👏🏻
I've purchased the clip on posts from Amazon. They are flat but u still have to sand the original earring so that the flats can lay flushed. I hope this will help u. U did a great job with this tutorial LOVE.
Very helpful! Love your energy. Thank you. :-)
I have the same issue, so does my daughter. Thank you for sharing😊
My ears are just like that this helped a lot ❤️
Thanks so much for sharing this I have to were clip ons too that’s so cool 🙂❤️
amazing video girl!
Thank you!!
yay love this, thank you for this tutorial!! :)
of course!
Thanks for this! I'm going to head out to Michael's and see if they have any of these converters there.
Thanks for this great tutorial! Re-pierced my ears after surgery on them and they WOULD. NOT . Heal. For whatever reason. I have accumulated so many pierced earrings over time and I want to keep them! So, gonna try this. Wish me luck!
This is the video I needed all my life!! I loved it 💖 how do you organize them ?
I'm getting my first pair of clip ons 😍
No omggggg! You’re the 🐐🐐
I Love your channel. Have a nice weekend
Thank you so much for this! As for studs, they make clip on converters at Claire’s that have a hole at the end for you to stick the post through. But either way would be efficient!
need to check those out!
Michael's carry clip-on converters for stud earrings now. I recently picked up a pair.
I personally find that the clip on backings from michaels look really big at the back if you have smaller earrings :/
They sell small plastic ones check etsy
Anyone else read the title and click right away
Yay hope you find it helpful!
Father and daughter moments ✨
I’m allergic to a lot of metals too- titanium is ok-ish but it gets a little pink still. So I used plastic earings wich helped a lot but like- there’s not many earings with plastic thingys, so I’m here now 💫💫❤️❤️
I love your videos!! Judging by the way you pronounced Sonja tells me you’ve never seen real housewives of New York! I’m dying that you have a pair of her earrings!
Hahahha correct I have worked with her clothing company a few times!!
Nicely done sis. I think i have all of those things except for the clip on piece.
You are just too cute, lol...all bubbly and fun spirited. Awesome video.
Just found your channel, you are adorable. I think it's super sweet you and your dad have a little project you can do together. Anywhere I had the same issue with my piercings. I never thought about clip ons because they were always hideous lol. Then I realized we can make any earrings clip ons. As far as the glue...would it work if you used a led/uv nail or gem glue and cured it? You would be able to hold it with the needle nose pliers so it would be straight. They also make thicker viscosity gel that's colored, so that may help camouflage it.
3:30 Beautiful the enamal polish of your nails
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
I bought invisible clip on earring, and wanted to ask if you also know how to work with them🙏
You love wild earrings, girl!
Hi! I was wondering if the pressure bothers you sometimes? Or how you deal with that?
I couldn't get mine pierced for swimming because they would rip my swim cap. We also couldn't wear them during races at the state level but I still really don't know why. Thanks for the video! This is literally a life saver!
Thank you so much! I have allergies to like all earrings :,)
such a sweet family. nice your dad helped. Jesus bless you guys.
I clicked right away!
Yay!!
Good
I like this video
Last time I got my ears pierced I was around 6 and they got infected so this is a really helpful video 📷
mee too! all metals hurt my ears. they get infections all the time so I let them close up
Plus you are great 👍!
This was very interesting, thanks ! How long would you say you wear clip ons in a day ? Like, how many hours ? Each time I try to wear some I can’t last for more than 1 or 2 hours 🥺 it makes me so sad and frustrated. Is there maybe a learning curve, should I push through the pain ? I really don’t want to get my ears pierced 😖
This is so cool! I am a kent alumni :) my question is do you ever have a hard time keeping them on your ears? They don’t fall off?
Aw hi!! They do not; if anything they are a little tight!
Very pretty top.
I just got clip-on earrings yesterday night
you are clever AND happy. kind DAD. the yellow and blue just what i need for UKRANIAN protest march
I have hekin sensitive ears and hate anything in my ears so thank you so much
I have a daughter who loves ear rings but she doesn't know if they will hurt. Plus you are not even bad.👂💍
My ears are also getting affected from my childhood and this video help he alot
But that car in the garage😍
hahah my dad was so happy about this
1:44 Beautiful earrings
I’m so happy that I finally found people that don’t have your ears pierced because I pierce my ears and now I have scar tissue so I actually cannot pierce my ears the doctor said so I can pierce my ears so the only option is clip on
Hello Mckenzie 🤗
I’m allergic to the clearance earring it has to be real metals or I get infections and my eras are soooo red and hurt so I love clip on earrings!
What can I put on the front of the clip on earring to prevent pain? my daughter says the front clamp really hurts and there is always a red mark left because it pinches her really badly. The back is protected with a silicone pad but its the front that is really painful...
From where you buy the clips
If online than what do you search in search bar
