On my patreon page, I began to explain the processes and secrets of my work. Topics already covered:
    1. Why do I add pepper to container Damascus steel.
    2. What do I sprinkle? Flux and its composition.
    3. How do I remove the container from the workpiece (container Damascus steel).
    4. Why am I drilling a hole in a container.
    5. Why do I sweep away the dross from the anvil with my hand.
    6. Why do I first forge some blanks on a tree.
    7. In what and why do I soak the blank before forging.
    8. In which granules do I place the workpiece after forging.
    9. What kind of white powder do I pour into the container.
    10. In what liquid do I develop the pattern on the blade.

Technically a Blacksmith works with Wrought Iron making ornamental things like handrails, iron gates and the like.
A Bladesmith is what Dmitry does for a living or hobby.

@@dougadams9419 Blacksmiths also make nails, armor, keys, and the tools of their trade among many other things. It isn't purely ornamental. Pro tip. Don't treat people as if they know nothing. You learn more when you ask questions rather than lecturing from a place of perceived superiority. Furthermore, blade smith is a new age distinction. Fundamentally there is no difference between a blade smith and a blacksmith. At the end of the day you are using fire and variety of heavy tools to repeating hit metal and force it into a new shape, but there is a lot of skill to be learned in the craft, and a blade smith is little more than a blacksmith who specializes in making blades.

I’m speechless. I’ve never known how knives were made, but THIS has to be the ultimate expert level of the craft. Wow.

It is awesome to see the folding patterns, the fact that they become smaller towards the edge shows very good craftmanship.

As a person who has spent most of his life in the kitchen, my hands have developed a strong resistance to heat and fire.
But this dude has those next level, fireproof, Ove Gloves for hands.

An interesting experiment, and I think it suggests another kind of pattern that can be welded together; a mosaic. That tile-like difference in steels with the dolphins and the sun really makes me think of stained glass or old Roman mosaics.
Love your work; keep safe and Slava Ukrainii.
