Season 1 was so well made, it had comedy, fried ship, bromance, and romance. Most historical dramas, lack consistent comedy so it can get dry. But I the bromance of season 1 made it so entertaining. None of the friends betrayed each other. And mudeok and jang uk’s romance was a slow brew, we watched them start as master and pupil then friends, and lovers. In an interview, the actor for jang uk even said for part 2, he basically felt like he had to portray an entirely different character
You could never go wrong with Somin delivering funny scenes, then adding her great chemistry with these 4 adorb men. It's chef's kiss. The adults are equally funny too. 🤣

its written by the hong sisters and let me tell you they both are talented screenwriters. all the dramas they written for are well received and popular. they know how to capture not only the main characters but supporting characters giving them equal amount of on screen. their scripts are well balanced
Even though I fell in love with Jang Uk I really love them all. Amazing actors. They made me cry, Laugh etc, . I felt so many emotions watching this show. ❤ I can say I had to some self evaluation after this. 😂
I was searching for the reason why I loved season 2 however I felt it was lacking something. This comedy was season one's charisma and cute scared jang UK and this straight forward man towards his feelings.
Season 2 lacked the strong mindset of naksu. Season 2 naksu was rather dull and helpess. But we all rooted for the naksu we saw in season 1 so we were so disappointed in s2 😢
Season 2 was too serious, Uk lost all of his character, same as Natsu. She was never self absorbed before as in the 2nd season. She was never carrying about her looks, yet everyone loved her, while in 2nd season she was just a sweet little girl, and nobody was in love in her anymore. She never regained her personality. I can't imagine Naksu didn't want to train anymore. They made her a damsel in distress
Jung Somin made season 1 unforgettable. These hilarious scenes also would make you want to rewatch. Jung Somin was so cute and funny as Mudeok, I miss her 😭
Jung Somin is so good at showing her expressive face, she can show her feelings just with facial expressions, that's why she nailed every comedy scene so well. I see in some dramas/movies sometimes comedy scenes can fail because the actress/actor is not expressive, so their expression can't support the comedic situation.
All the actors are great but Jae Wook, Jung Somin, crown prince (forgot his name 🥺) really nailed their characters. The writing of the humor in this drama was perfect!!!

These two are hilarious! 😂 Their acts are on point, it never fails to crack me up. I really wish that the 2nd series writers can find a way not to exclude Jung So Min. She is the powerful eldest daughter of one of the 4 sects. I am sure they can find one if they would.

Her performance in love next door is equally brilliant. However, it is obvious that on screen amd off screen her relationship and chmistry with her leading man is personal and real!😅

I really like the s1, even the last episode is sad...you feel this s1 than the s2, even if you rewatch again the s1 the chemistry of somin and jang guk much better
