  • Hey guys welcome to today's videoconferencing this 1981 Pontaic Trans Am
    gofund.me/f598...
    Hello my name is Robbie Raglan I run a UA-cam channel, Fully Loaded Kustoms I build and restore Classic and Kustom cars.
    Help me to restore this 1981 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am and bring this car back to life and bring it back to the curent owner Gary. So he can relive all the amazing memories of his Brother, Who passed away 15+ years ago and take one final ride in his brother's car.
    Gary is the curent owner of this 1981 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am, this is his brother's car. His Brother purchased this car new from the dealership in 1981. However his brother passed away over 15+ years ago.
    Gary is now 77 years old and like many other people. He had the goal and desire to rebuild and restore a lost family members car. To persevere those memories of their cherished loved ones. However at the price quoted at $25,000 - $35,000+ from the restoration shop many years ago, a price that's surely only gone up in today's market. His family wasn't able to financially cover the cost of the restoration. So his brothers car has sat for over 15+ years and moved around from barn, to garage, to feild, to the backyard where it sits now. In hopes of one day getting it restored.
    This is where I come in. I build and restore Kustom and classic cars. I Bring these cars back to life to hit the open roads once again. I'm going to purchase this car from Gary build it and restore it back to the way it was in 1981 the exact way his brother had the car. I'm going to bring the restored Trans Am back to Gary. So he can relive all the amazing memories of his Brother and take one final ride in his brother's car knowing that it got restored the way his brother would have wanted it to be.
    I'm going to film this entire build and put the series on my UA-cam channel FullyLoadedKustoms (link at bottom of description)
    If you would like to sponsor this build in anyway, please get in touch with me Fullyloadedkustoms@gmail.com I will advertise your sponsorship on my UA-cam channel every video throughout the series. Let's bring back amazing memories for people together. I would love the opportunity to be able to do this for more people. There's tons of people out there who are in the exact same position that can't afford the restoration, I want to be the change for these people. Give them my skills of being able to build and restore classic and Kustom cars. Pick these classics up restore them and bring back the incredible memories of their cherished loved ones.
    Every car has a new story to unfold, new friends to make and incredible places to see. Memories to be relived and new ones to be created that will last a lifetime. together we can help bring these classics back to the road for one more cruise down memory lane.
    Thank you for your time your donations, Sponsorships, Likes, Shares, Comments anything that helps. I can do this for Gary I will do this for as many other people as I possibly can too.
    and remember if it's not Raglan it's not Kustom.

      Thank you very much I greatly appreciate that 🙏. I've got a few paint jobs I'm doing over the winter, I'm going to put money aside from those and use that get this Trans Am restored. I would love to be able to grow my channel to the point where I could travel around and help my viewers restore and build cars for them that contain amazing memories. I think it would be an awesome thing to be able to do for people.

    She is a beautiful bird. Had a 79 espirit firebird with a 301 two barrel. Way slow but I was 18yrs old. Sadly the under side of this car is probably gone. Spring shackles gone and leafs thru the trunk. Major reconstruction project. I wish you luck.

      Thanks, most would shy away from T top models but those are the ones that I like the most! You should check the VIN & trim tag or build sheet? I think this car most be a very low build to be white with a/c & T tops and isn't a Daytona pace car.

    • @fullyloadedkustoms
      @fullyloadedkustoms  Рік тому +2

      @@MrJaybody-vd6eb I definitely like those T top models. I live close to the mountains out here in Alberta taking a drive through the mountains with the t-tops off makes for a fantastic time. I have an 82 Camaro that I'm looking at picking up. Going to do a roof swap on it from hardtop to t-top. Yeah that 81 I think would be a lower production being white and gold. Definitely did not see too many with that colour combination around.

    • @MrJaybody-vd6eb
      @MrJaybody-vd6eb Рік тому

      @fullyloadedkustoms Yeah! I can't remember the last time I saw a white T top model that wasn't a Indy 500 pace car or the 81 Daytona 500 pace car. But I do like those as well but to kinda have something even a little more rarer would be so sweet! The good things about these cars is you can get just about everything you need to get them up & running and look nice and for it to be a Canadian car the rust it does have from what I seen from the video doesn't look that bad? If you don't have to deal with the suffrage or rear springs & shock mounts and shackles, you'll be home free in no time. And if you wanna keep the 301 turbo. There's a guy who does nice up grades for them that seem to work nice! If or when you get it going, it'll be a "show stopper" for sure!

      @fullyloadedkustoms that would be cool. You really do stand out as a UA-cam channel with the more in depth longer videos, not getting them in the UK and only usually seeing them on TV/Movies its great to see them in more detail. I was fairly lucky to drive a imported 1983 Firebird recently albeit not a very clean example and it's definitely something I'd consider if one came up at a reasonable price

    The parts alone will exceed $10,000. A rebuild on the engine and trans $5000. I think the restoration shop was quite reasonable if they could really do all that for $20,000 in labor.
    somehow im suspecting there is more than $10,000 in parts & materials and it would run over that $10,000 quickly.
    Maybe you can just get the chrome exhaust tips but the rear system with tips is $1000.
    I have a 79 10th anniversary 400 4spd trans am an know what all those pieces cost to restore one like that.

    • @fullyloadedkustoms
      @fullyloadedkustoms  11 місяців тому +2

      100% biggest expense is paying someone else's time for them to do all the work. When I was working at the restoration shop in Calgary. The shop at that time (2018) was charging out $20k to do a repaint same color. Add in quarter panel replacement etc it's up over $30K easy. I believe they had the $20K quote for this car back around 2005-2008ish. I do all the metal work/paint body/interior etc. Allows me to keep the costs down on projects.
