This was such a beautiful interview. So happy to see George own up to his mistakes and being vulnerable for his daughter and for the cameras. Not to mention Mexican men are proud as hell and for him to go to therapy and talk about it? That’s amazing. I hope their relationship continues to flourish.
George Lopez is not as Mexican as you may think, he was born here in the United States. That's like saying I'm an Irish man but the truth is I'm an American I was born here in America.
@@tallcool1jeff what does that even mean? "Not as Mexican as you think" lol George is still Mexican. Mexico is also an American country because the continent is called North America. So to call a Mexican an American actually has duality to it. He's Mexican American, alright.

Me too. My father was not there for us much either my stepdad was? So we called him dad plus our real dad left when I was 4 and the other 5 were teens and in their 20s they saw no point in calling him dad. He was in Ohio working never even thought to call or send us a letter? Or our mom one? They divorced when I was small? And she married my stepdad ? And we were all in South Carolina where we are from minus my mom she’s Scottish ? But he was there more for us than actual dad was. We are South Carolinians accept mom even our stepdad and our real dad was.
Kudos to both of them for being able to mend their relationship. Pushing the petty aside and recognizing what's important.

Lopez vs Lopez is GREAT! First of all, all new shows sometimes forgets that being funny is number one and in LvL I laugh out loud a lot. Then Mayan is just PERFECT! She's the leading actress and she kills it every time. And George is naturally hilarious

Caught show tonite Nov 11th, was basically not into it most of the time,I like George very much, but unsure if the sitcom will make it, a few fun lines from George, but had me "Crinching" most other times, the boyfriend is a WRONG FIT...But I see where they are going with this (so do you)

Yes nice interview and the original George Lopez show was fantastic it's just too bad that this new Lopez versus Lopez is such a terrible show. I was expecting so much more and I'm very sad ,the writing is bad there's no flow like in the old show it's just a real disappointment. I'm sad to say it. I have only watched the first two episodes so far but I was disappointed with the first one and the second one well let's just say it didn't get any better.

It’s ok, it’s hard to keep up with Spanish if everyone talks in English most of the time. My parents spoke Spanish all the time but I grew up more comfortable with English bc of school and siblings. I don’t rly speak Spanish.

As a single mom I am appalled. She needs to see what it’s like to be a real kid of a single parent of a one income household and then complain. But my child would never do this on live television. You need to stop comparing, and complaining that you, and yours have it soooo much "harder" or blah blah blah. Her experience is HER EXPERIENCE! You have no right to tell her anything about her pain. You want her to walk a mile in your child shoes? Well, tie up your laces, and get ready to do the same for her.
You don't know her life, heartache, or story with full context.
You can play victim all you want, but that doesn't invalidate her experience or her painful memories....
You obviously have empathy for your own child....but not so much for others. I am sorry your little one doesn't have their father in the picture...however that is no excuse to paint this pitiful picture in your head that only has room for your woes, and turmoil. Empathy is a learned behavior, and should not have limitations... especially one's that are based on your own preconceived judgments of everyone else's life. Someone always has it harder, sure...but that doesn't mean everyone else's pain isn't REAL, RAW, and VAILD!
Pain is a universal language. It's something everyone on this earth experiences in some unique way. The one thing it will never be though is race to see who has been hurt the most.
So, please don't treat it like it's a game that needs to be won.
You are appalled, so am I....but for two completely different reasons.
