I laughed so hard when I first saw this because I knew it was a reference to Snoop Dogg as a kid. I remember a boy in my class played that song a year after it came out, over and over again in the class room. The teacher got upset. I was in the 6th grade in 1994 - 13 years old. I'm 36 years old now.
Wow. Taking me way back. Haha not just to this clip, which I remember watching as a kid - but to my life. The music, the clothes, and my school. A different time and vintage clip that can't ever be described to others after us - just re-experienced for those of us who watched it live when it happened, or experienced that time period.
I love this episode and I remember Eek The Cat sooo well too. I love the references of the music artists: Mice-T parody of Ice-T, Bears 2 Men parody of Boyz II Men and Shark Doggy Dog parody of Snoop Doggy Dog. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Looking back, the writing of Eek the Cat was just filled with puns, current affairs, references to pop culture and politics, both present (at the time) and past. In several episodes the Hubble Space Telescope was shown with a pair of giant glasses. As a kid, I thought that was just a funny/cartoon way to draw a satelite. Until ~13 years later when in 2007, while solving a set of homework problems as a physics undergrad, I found out that a construction error caused the Hubble telescope to be near-sighted and actually needed a corrective lens to be installed. The satelite really needed those glasses to be able to see anything at all haha. I laughed so hard when I found that out! I really hope kids nowadays have access to equally funny and smart cartoons as Eek! was to me :)
I saw how Netflix Jr. STOLE "Sharkdog" and turned it into an insufferable "progressive" show for children . . . . Super Sad! Give me the original Sharkdog from Eek! any day. I actually enjoyed watching these with my daughter.
This has been stuck in my head TWENTY EIGHT YEARS.
I just told my wife about this. Glad I’m not the only one 😂
Bears 2 men 😂😂😂
4:30
Mice T - Ice T (LOL)
4:58
Bears To Men = Boyz to Men (Don't make no bearskin rug out of me! LOL)
It should’ve been Cubz II Bearz

@@TecmoBowlPlayer I haven't saw this in 25 years. 🙂
Very underrated cartoon. Lots of adult jokes, used to watch this with a bag of swedish fish high as fuck. Good times.
AH MEMORIES
cartoon was cool but memories were bad , very, bad.
When Saturday Morning on Fox was golden!
And of course Hollywood is engulfed in flames, as it usually is. Love all the small jokes like that.
Proof Snoop was the biggest rapper, even had cartoons talking about him.

I watched this show well into adulthood. LOL
For years my kids have sung the "Shark Dog" (Bit my leg) song, but never knew where they learned it. I'm posting this so they can remember.
you"re an awesome mom!
One of the funniest episodes! I laughed so hard when this first came on tv. And I still do!
The Snoop Dogg and gangsta rap backlash. Ahhh, the 90's😌
Why can I not stop saying “Shark Doggy Dogg” when I actually listen to Snoop “What’s my name” 😂😂.
I been doing this since 1996 😂
And they actually got Don Cornelius on the show! How cool is that?
True !! THIS Shit was funny as hell in the 90s!!

OMG, I never realize until that they were lampooning Snoop Dogg's Murder trial until now!
one year later... me too! lol
Ha ha ha! Holy shit! You're right! XD This show is so crazy!
The mailman song part is lampooning the body count song Cop Killa.
@@hollywood21639 I always thought it was lampooning NWA's F$@$ tha police
this cartoon was my childhood together to yoink of the yukon
I love Eek and Sharky! :)

Biting was the case that they gave me
Shark dog. Doggy dog. Ow ow my leg. He bit my leg.
That and "Can't Stop the Bugs" were hallmarks of the 90s.
and the Quadrapedia episode, love all those songs
4:31 Mice T. was a rapper! Even PaRappa was enjoying him!
4:59 that Bears II Men part kills me every damn time!!! LMAOOOOOO
Lol Me too, I love the reference and the real band Boyz II Men. 90s were pure gold man🥳🥳🥳🥳
That's Don Cornelius, the host of Soul Train, voice. Wow he guest starred on Eek The Cat.
Damn this show was deep
Annabelle has the sweetest Southern accent.
But she is really fat!
When Shark turns gangster! One of my favorite Eek the Cat episodes.
Brandon Oats ua-cam.com/video/eJzxFGdoxDk/v-deo.html
DMX would've gotten a kick out of Shark Doggy Dogg!
I can't believe Don Cornelius was on eek the cat
Never realized that there were so many sociopolitical undercurrents in this show when I was twelve.

@@impactguide Right. They gave us so many many gems back then through animation.
I remember how they'd constantly fat shame his girlfriend Annabelle. Shoes like this and Rocko's Modern Life couldn't be made today.
My Son used to cry laughing at this cartoon.
Dr DJ Dizzy DeDum DeDum, in full affect.
Shark Dog better than rap today? ??? Lol
This is Facts!!! And he doesn’t mumble
"Shark dog shark doggy dog" very catchy
You Know, I Just Can’t Shake Off The Fact that there was a Clarence Cartoon from 1991.
This is one of the few times Sharky 🦈 and Eek got along without Sharky trying to bite him lol
8:30
Heavily related to Snoop Dogg's murder trial, backed in 1993,
Snoop said his lawyer actually made jurors cry defending him. Snoop said I "almost teared up myself"
they nailed hip-hop culture in this episode, spot on.
Thank you. I like this episode. It’s about rap.
Yeah I saw it when I was 5, I didn’t see the original airing since I wasn’t alive when it first aired.
Loved this show as a kid me and my brother would crack up freaked out of all the adult humor it showed..lol
I wonder if Ice T and Boyz ii men and the whole Death Row clique saw this back when it aired.
Well, this plot constantly escalated.
This is hilarious 😂
This cartoon made me cry 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i love this...thank you soooooooooooooooooo much
Thank you🔥
sure wish they had this on netflix or hulu
Hot Damn. I completely forgot about this show I watched all the time back in the day.
beat drops @ 5:38
I definitely didn't pick the subtext of this episode.
That Bearskin Rug song is low-key awesome!
Two things i remember from this show were the X-files parody and the Shark Dog song which also replaced the credits song of this episode.
What's the name of the x files parody? This I gotta see
@@ericmcgowan1993 Eek Space Nine, as in a pun on Deep Space Nine, it's also here on youtube.
Oh wow. Don Corlinus😃

Sagging with briefs !
It never hurts to help!
One of the bears sound like chuckie from rugrats
00:40 No, the function of the uvula IS NOT sensing tastes of the food. Actually, it is the tounge which senses sweet, salty flavours......
6:38 The mailman kinda sounds like Vinny's impression of Mario.
Sharky doggy do 😂
The 90's was a weird place. Bite the Mailman an unveild parody of Eff the Police
More like Cop Killer.
Those Guys, Reminds Me of Boys II Men.
A!S!P!C!A!🎶
I remember this episode

8:37 kumbaya sharkey
Mike T (a parody of Ice T)
Ishmael Williams ....mice T
And bears ii men a parody of Boyz ii men.

“Eek The Cat” is a Perfect RAP Name!!! It’s a shame he didn’t have what it took.
